Ram Charan’s Love, Food, and New Film Peddi

Share

Maintaining a slim and fit physique for the big screen requires tremendous discipline from actors. They often avoid their favorite foods, count calories meticulously, and push themselves hard in the gym. However, some manage their diet by eating heartily while still working hard at the gym afterward. Tollywood superstars Megastar Chiranjeevi and global star Ram Charan follow a similar regimen, as revealed by Upasana.

Upasana Konidela needs no introduction. As the wife of Ram Charan, daughter-in-law of Chiranjeevi, and Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, she is well known to all. Alongside her family roles, Upasana is steadily progressing in her professional career. Recently, in an interview with a YouTube channel, she shared some lesser-known insights.

She revealed that her husband Ram Charan loves South Indian food, especially rasam rice. No matter which upscale restaurant they visit, Charan always checks the entire menu but ends up ordering Indian food, specifically South Indian cuisine. Upasana added that Charan insists on having Indian food at least once a day, with a strong preference for South Indian dishes.

At home, Chiranjeevi enjoys a special dosa served with pickle, which Upasana says tastes amazing. She also recalled a cute moment during her courtship with Charan in Hyderabad when she tested him by asking for a famous ice cream. Their love story is not like a typical ‘Magadheera’ style romance; instead, they understood each other deeply, fell in love, and got married.

Regarding Ram Charan’s upcoming projects, after the blockbuster ‘Game Changer,’ he is currently working on ‘Peddi’ directed by Buchibabu San. Expectations are high for this film. To prepare for his role, Charan learned the Rayalaseema dialect and underwent a significant makeover. The movie features Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine and is scheduled for release on March 27, 2026.

Jagan Alleges TDP Conspiracy to Rig Pulivendula By-Election

Share

YSR Congress Party president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of conspiring to manipulate the upcoming ZPTC by-elections in Pulivendula and Ontimitta.

On Sunday, ahead of the August 12 by-election, Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a strong attack on Naidu via his social media handle ‘X’, alleging that the former Chief Minister, along with certain officials, TDP’s unruly gangs, and some police officers, is undermining democracy through nefarious means.

Calling Chandrababu Naidu “an undemocratic and anarchic figure,” Jagan said, “Instead of earning public support through genuine work, Naidu resorts to conspiracies, lies, intimidation, and abuse of power to seize control. This is evident once again in the Pulivendula and Ontimitta ZPTC by-elections, where he is misusing his authority to obstruct free and fair polls.”

The by-elections in Pulivendula, which is Jagan’s own Assembly constituency, have become a bitter political battleground between the TDP and YSRCP.

Jagan alleged that police brutality began immediately after the election notification was issued, with hundreds of YSRCP leaders and workers — many with no prior criminal records — being subjected to false cases and intimidation.

On August 5, he claimed, TDP-affiliated gangs attacked YSRCP leaders at a wedding in Pulivendula, seriously injuring Amaresh Reddy and Saidapuram Suresh Reddy as a warning to those supporting the ruling party. Instead of arresting the attackers, police filed a false SC/ST case on August 6 against YSRCP leader Velpula Ramu and about 50 others, arresting several and planning more detentions on polling day.

Further, on August 8, after coercing a YSRCP leader to defect, the TDP allegedly orchestrated false complaints leading to police notices issued to several YSRCP leaders, including Raghavareddy, Gangadharareddy, Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy, and Devireddy Shivashankar Reddy.

The same day, election officials reportedly shifted polling booths from villages to distant locations, forcing around 4,000 YSRCP supporters in Pulivendula to travel 2 to 4 kilometers amid threats and attacks, increasing the risk of booth capturing and rigging.

On the night of August 8, twelve people were arrested in connection with the case against Velpula Ramalinga Reddy, though evidence later led to the release of four; eight remain in custody despite being at the police station during the alleged incident.

Jagan warned that on polling day, the TDP plans to suppress voter turnout and conceal its misconduct by controlling media coverage. He added that TDP gangs are prepared to destroy live broadcast equipment to prevent the truth from reaching the public.

He concluded, “These elections are a sham to call democratic. Yet, I have faith in God and the people. Ultimately, justice will prevail.”

Sai Durga Tej Wins Most Desirable Male at Filmfare South 2025

Share

At the inaugural Eugenix Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards South 2025, star actor Sai Durga Tej turned a glamorous evening into an emotional moment to remember. Held on Saturday in Hyderabad, the event brought together some of the biggest names in South Indian cinema, including Nani, Adivi Sesh, Sudheer Babu, Sundeep Kishan, Malavika Mohanan, Teja Sajja, Anil Ravipudi, Naga Vamsi, Pragya Jaiswal, Raashii Khanna, Manchu Lakshmi, Bhagyashri Borse, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth, and Chinmayi Sripaada.

When music director Devi Sri Prasad announced Tej as the winner of the Most Desirable (Male) title, the actor invited his parents, Vijaya Durga and Dr. Siva Prasad, to join him on stage. Amidst thunderous applause, Tej dedicated the award to his mother, expressing heartfelt gratitude: “When I thought everything was lost, my mother stood by me and gave me courage. She boosted my confidence and helped me return to normalcy.” His words moved the audience, recalling her unwavering support during his recovery from a life-threatening accident.

Speaking to the media before the ceremony, Tej shared his style philosophy, emphasizing comfort, ease, and peace of mind as his three key mantras. He named Ram Charan and Pawan Kalyan as his style icons, with Ram Charan’s look in Orange standing out as his all-time favorite.

On the professional front, Tej is gearing up for his next project, Sambarala Yeti Gattu — an action drama directed by Rohith KP, co-starring Aishwarya Lekshmi. This big-budget film is slated for a pan-India release in late 2025 and promises to showcase Tej in a powerful and intense role.

Chiranjeevi Denies Promise of 30% Salary Hike to Film Workers

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi has long been seen as the unofficial head of the Telugu film industry, with producers and workers often looking to him for guidance on industry matters. Recently, however, rumors began circulating that he had assured workers’ unions of a 30% salary hike.

Chiranjeevi has now firmly denied these claims. Taking to X, he wrote:

“It has come to my attention that certain individuals, claiming to be members of the Film Federation, have gone to the media falsely stating that I met them and assured their demands — including a 30% wage hike — would be met, and that I would resume shooting very soon. I want to set the record straight: I have not met anyone from the federation. This is an industry-wide issue, and no individual, including myself, can give unilateral assurances. The Film Chamber is the apex body of the Telugu film industry, and only it, as a collective, can engage in discussions with all concerned and arrive at a fair solution. Making such false claims is unacceptable, and I condemn any attempt to create confusion among stakeholders.”

He reiterated that the Telugu Film Chamber alone holds the authority to decide on such matters and stressed that he would not interfere or influence decisions without first hearing all parties involved.

CBFC Trims Kiara Advani’s Bikini Scene in War 2

Share

Fans worldwide were left stunned when Bollywood beauty Kiara Advani made a jaw-dropping bikini appearance in the teaser and song of War 2. In just a few seconds of screen time, her sizzling look managed to steal attention in a teaser otherwise dominated by action powerhouses Hrithik Roshan and NTR.

However, the excitement has been dampened for some, as news broke that the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) has trimmed Kiara’s bold bikini sequence by 9 seconds. Additionally, the board instructed the makers to remove a 2-second “objectionable dialogue” and an “inappropriate gesture.”

Apart from these cuts, the CBFC also asked for minor audio mutes and visual edits in certain scenes. As a result, Kiara’s sensuous bikini moment in the Aavan Jaavan song has been halved from its original length before granting the film a U/A certificate.

Interestingly, the makers had appealed to the Revising Committee (RC) after the Examining Committee (EC) initially flagged these visuals and dialogues. With the required changes in place, War 2’s runtime is now locked at 171.44 minutes.

All eyes are now on August 14, when this high-octane action entertainer finally hits the screens!

Nani’s Fierce Transformation in The Paradise

Share

After winning hearts with his boy-next-door charm and soft-spoken roles, Nani stunned audiences by taking a gritty detour with Dasara—a rural action drama marking the directorial debut of Srikanth Odela.
Nani’s rugged makeover, coupled with his bold Telangana slang delivery, surprised fans and critics alike, turning Dasara into the biggest blockbuster of his career at the time.

Now, expectations are soaring for Nani and Srikanth Odela’s second collaboration, The Paradise. If the first glimpse is any indication, they are ready to shock audiences once again. In a creative twist, Srikanth Odela revealed that each character in the film will be introduced through two posters—one revealing the look and name, the other showcasing the attitude and essence.

Nani’s transformation as “Jadal” is already the talk of the town. Sporting twin braids and a rugged physique, his first look radiates raw intensity. The second poster takes it further—depicting him like a lion on a throne, bloodied yet calm in the face of danger.

Despite The Paradise being only his second film, Srikanth Odela is steering the project with remarkable confidence. His ability to reinvent Nani so dramatically reflects both his passion and vision. Backing this creative freedom is producer Sudhakar Cherukuri, who has reportedly spared no expense, setting a high budget to bring the director’s grand vision to life.

With the scale, ambition, and visual flair on display so far, The Paradise could very well surpass Dasara in impact. Produced under SLV Cinemas, the film is set to hit theaters on March 26, 2026.

If you want, I can also make you a more punchy, short-version write-up that’s ready for social media promotion. That would make it more SEO and audience-friendly. Would you like me to prepare that next?

Mahesh Babu’s Big Leap with Rajamouli

Share

Superstar Mahesh Babu has always intrigued fans with his career choices. He doesn’t act in remakes, nor has he actively chased pan-India dreams. Surprisingly, he has never shown a strong desire to make a mark in the Hindi market — unlike top-tier stars like Prabhas, NTR, and Ram Charan, who are expanding their reach nationwide. Even second-tier actors like Nani, Nikhil, Naga Chaitanya, and Adivi Sesh have tried to follow in the footsteps of the big stars by exploring pan-India releases. But Mahesh never took that route.

He has never seemed overly concerned about his films entering the ₹500 crore or ₹1000 crore club or capturing the vast Bollywood audience. In fact, he once made headlines by bluntly stating that Bollywood “cannot handle” him.

Throughout his three-decade-long career, Mahesh focused solely on entertaining his loyal Telugu fanbase. He preferred working with directors who created original, local stories — collaborating with filmmakers like K. Raghavendra Rao, Trivikram Srinivas, Puri Jagannadh, Srinu Vaitla, Sukumar, and Anil Ravipudi. His film Takkari Donga with Jayanth C. Paranjee was perhaps his most experimental outing.

However, despite working with several big names, one collaboration never happened — a film with the master storyteller S.S. Rajamouli. That long-standing gap is finally being filled. Mahesh is now starring in one of the most anticipated films of 2025–26, marking his first-ever project with Rajamouli. The massive forest-adventure film has Mahesh undergoing an impressive transformation and putting in immense hard work.

This means that after Rajamouli’s film, Mahesh may no longer be able to stick to purely local projects. Going forward, every movie he does will likely be designed for the pan-India — or even global — market.

It’s no longer about when he enters the big league — that moment has arrived. Even if Mahesh has entered the pan-India (or pan-world) race late, the time has come for him to push past others and take the lead.

Trump’s Tariffs Pose ‘Slow Burn’ Threat to Wall Street

Share

Reciprocal tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump may not cause an immediate market crash, but they are acting as a “slow burn” for Wall Street, gradually distorting markets, pressuring consumers, and provoking potential retaliation, according to a new One World Outlook report by Zoya Najeeb.

While stock indexes hit record highs, the article warns that the US economy is quietly absorbing the negative effects of tariffs. “Tariffs are essentially taxes, and this is a tax hike on Americans — especially the lower half of the income ladder — at a time when they are already struggling,” the report notes.

In July alone, the White House celebrated $29 billion in tariff revenue, with expectations of $50 billion a month soon. Yet companies are feeling the pinch: Caterpillar Inc. projects the new tariffs will cost up to $1.5 billion this year, including $500 million in the current quarter.

Despite this, its stock remains steady, buoyed by investor optimism over unrelated booms in AI data centres and infrastructure spending. This disconnect reflects what analysts describe as a K-shaped economy — where tech-driven growth props up indexes, but broader market performance remains flat.

Even Warren Buffett has been selling stocks for 11 consecutive quarters, amassing a $344 billion cash reserve — a sign he’s anticipating a downturn. Meanwhile, former US House Speaker Paul Ryan has cautioned that tariffs could face legal challenges, warning of “choppy waters ahead.”

Priyamani Slams Colour Bias in Bollywood

Share

Actress Priyamani, who has carved a niche for herself in South Indian cinema, has boldly spoken out about the ongoing colour bias in Bollywood. In a recent interview, she candidly shared bitter experiences from her long film career, and her comments have now become a talking point.

Priyamani revealed, “Some directors have told me, ‘We cast you because you have a South Indian character.’ Hearing that was hurtful. Acting and talent have nothing to do with skin colour or region.”

She further added, “Yes, we are from the South, but we can speak all languages fluently. We may not be as fair-skinned as some North Indian actresses, but we can confidently say we are beautiful. Skin colour doesn’t matter — talent does. Unfortunately, Bollywood still considers factors like an actor’s complexion and region when offering roles.”

Expressing her strong opinion, Priyamani stated that it’s unfair to judge actors solely on their looks and skin tone rather than their skills. Her words have resonated with many, as colour bias has been a long-debated issue in the film industry.

Having played pivotal roles in big Hindi films like Jawan and Maidaan, Priyamani has received massive support on social media for her remarks. Her statements have reignited the conversation on colour discrimination in Bollywood and strengthened the demand for giving talent the priority it truly deserves in the film industry.
