Dil Raju Invests Rs 60 Cr on These Two Biggies?

Dil Raju is not involved in the production of Mahesh Babu’s “Sarileru Neekevvaru” nor he’s associated with Allu Arjun’s “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo”. But he is going to suffer if these movies clash directly.Dil Raju bought the rights of all four movies that are hitting the screens this Sankranthi but he is now caught in the crossfire between Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu.

If “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo” decides to compete with “Sarileru Neekevvaru” on 11th January, Dil Raju will lose heavily.Though Dil Raju is a production partner in “Sarileru Neekevvaru”, his investment as a distributor in this movie is more than Rs 33 crore. He is releasing the movie in Nizam and Vizag regions.

Similarly, he bought the distribution rights of “Ala Vaikunthapurramlo” for the same region for about Rs 25 crore. If these movies fight on 11th January, openings will split and he will lose money heavily.Moreover, he cannot brush aside Mahesh Babu’s pressure. Dil Raju will produce Mahesh Babu and Vamsi Paidipally’s movie this year.He also has a long friendship with Bunny and Allu Aravind. But both of them feel they are losing out the theaters on 12th January. They blame Dil Raju for not allotting the sufficient screens for their movie on an opening day.

Finally, Dil Raju will hold talks again on Saturday to overcome this problem.

Confusion over the release dates of Sankranthi biggies – ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ and ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’, is continuing. And the overseas distributors are in panic mode.The biggest loser will be the USA distributor of “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo” if the movie advances its release date. There is a valid reason for this.

The overseas distributors had already prepared a ground (theaters, etc) for the massive premiere shows for “Darbar” on 8th, “Sarileru Neekevvaru” on 10th, and “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo” on 11th January.If Allu Arjun’s family drama advances its date to 10th January premiere, the movie will be the biggest loser as the major screens had already been allotted to Rajinikanth and Mahesh Babu’s movies.

They are undisputed kings in the USA market. Compared to these stars, Allu Arjun doesn’t have much craze in the USA.Allu Arjun’s film will only get small screens and theaters in faraway places. And if “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo” directly competes with Mahesh Babu’s movie on 10th January on the day of premieres the film will not even touch 300k dollars.

Despite brand Trivikram, Allu Arjun’s movie will be losing heavily if it tends to come on 10th or 11th January.This is what the overseas distributor is worrying about.

Posters Without Dates! Heading Towards Open Fight?

The tug of war between the Sankranti releases has gone beyond the limits by far. The scene has come to square one, where the makers of Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikuntapurramulo promote their respective films with timely posters and all other updates except the release dates!

The primitive posters mentioned only ‘Sankranti 2020’ and later Sarileru Neekevvaru decided to come out on Jan 11 and Ala Vaikuntapuram lo on Jan 12. But it all went back to ‘posters without dates’ when the sensational talk spread that Ala Vaikuntapuramulo makers changed their outing to Jan 10. It is heard that theaters clash on Sunday is behind all this conflict and no film is ready to step back, leaving the dilemma intact.

Both the films completed their censor formalities with U/A certification and released posters mentioning the same but without the dates again, though the release should be within 10 days from today.

It has to be seen if they both get into a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ soon to avoid the unwanted collision at the box office, or they decide to keep the open fray on with the same release date!

But, Sai was not included in his previous films.

In fact, Vijay had found success and established himself with his screen name, but tasted bitter results with his last film Dear Comrade.Now, he prefers to be called Deverakonda Vijay Sai in the hope of finding luck.

AP High Power Panel To Meet On Jan 6

The high power committee of the ministers and the senior IAS officers constituted to look into the recommendations of two committees on the capital issue is likely to meet on January 6.

The committee headed by finance minister Buggana Rajendranath would meet and have its first look of the two reports on the capital duly submitted to the state government by the retired IAS officer G N Rao and the Boston Consulting Group.

The Boston Consulting Group had submitted its report to chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday. The report would be tabled before the State Cabinet on January 8.

The high power committee is also likely to give its first impression on the two reports at the January 8 cabinet meeting. However, the committee was given time to study both the reports and give its recommendations before January 26.

The chief minister is in favour of convening the special session of the Assembly to table the reports of the G N Rao committee and the Boston Consulting Group.

It is to be seen what the high power committee would decide and recommend to the government once it goes through the two reports.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramloo has completed all the formalities including censor and the film is all set for massive release for Sankranthi.

In the new poster from the film, Bunny in simple attire is seen walking stylishly, while ladies in the colony follow him carrying water pots. It seems, the still is from a song in the film.

The Pooja Hegde co-starrer film helmed by Trivikram Srinivas will have musical concert to be organized on January 6th with composer S Thaman performing live on stage.

Actor Sudheer Babu is known for his different movies. He is currently working on ‘V’ directed by his ‘Sammohanam’ director Mohan Krishna Indragati. Apart from that, he is also doing the biopic of star badminton coach Pullela Gopichand.

He recently uploaded a few pictures of him doing yoga which is surprising many. Doing yoga is not a big thing but Sudheer Babu amazed everyone by giving yoga poses in the middle of the air. People may think that Sudheer has learned some sort of magic or took the help of photoshop for these clicks but he denied them by writing, “Believe me … No Photoshop involved #JustAJump.” These photos were taken in a split second when the ‘SMS’ star jumped in the air.

Nonetheless, they look absolutely perfect. Sudheer Babu’s last two outings ‘Sammohanam’ and ‘Nannu Dochukunduvate’ were successful at the box-office.

A huge advantage for December releases!

2020 did not start on a grand note for Tollywood. Most of the films which were released on January 1st failed to get minimum revenues. Movies like ‘Thoota’, ‘Athade Srimannarayana’ and ‘Beautiful’ went unnoticed by the audience.

This gives a decent advantage to films which released on December end. Films like ‘Mathu Vadalara’ which got good talk will have time till December 9th to make more profits. Also, ‘Good Newwz’ which released on 27th is getting good money in multiplexes. Sai Tej’s ‘Prathi Roju Pandage’ is also having a dream run at the box-office as none of the other releases got positive talk.

Rajnikanth’s ‘Darbar’ is releasing on 9th January followed by Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun. Till then, the December releases are going to enjoy their free run.

BCG submits report to Jagan, What’s Next?

The Boston Consultancy Group (BCG) has submitted its report on Amaravati and capital city of AP state to CM YS Jagan. The members of BCG reached CM’s camp office in Tadepalli and placed the report in Jagan’s hands.

The High power committee appointed by AP government will study the recommendations of both GN Rao committee and BCG report and will take a final call on the capital. The High Power committee is expected to meet on January 6th and on January 8th, Jagan has called for a cabinet meeting. The cabinet will discuss about BCG report too but will wait for High Power committee’s final report which is expected before January 20th.

The High Power committee has chief secretary Neelam Sinha, 10 ministers, senior IAS and IPS officials. So now the focus shifts to the High Power Committee meeting which is scheduled on next Monday.

KTR brings Shoppers Stop to Sircilla

After making Sircilla the first open defecation free district, TRS working President and IT Minister KTR is designing some ambitious plans to develop it. Earlier this year, KTR has called for green action plan and set his focus on water harvesting in the district. Popularly known as ‘Textile town’, Sircilla is home to several power looms, textile processing and dyeing units.

With a view to expand apparel park in Sircilla, Government of Telangana has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with retail chain Shoppers Stop to set up an apparel manufacturing unit in the town. In presence of IT minister KTR, the MoU was signed by IT & Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Shoppers Stop Managing Director & CEO Rajiv Suri in Mumbai today. The representative of Sircilla said that this manufacturing will create hundreds of employment opportunities to women.

Shoppers Stop, which has stores across the cities, sells in-house brands such as Haute Curry, Stop, Life, Kashish, IVY, Back to Earth and more. It operates the fashion retail chain in 40+ cities, with more than 83 departmental stores, and close to 10% of its revenue is generated from Amazon online sales.
