Signing a film after film was never a problem for our senior heroes, but finding the right story to match their age always was and still is. Now, something worse than that is to find the right actress to pair opposite them, the one who does not look too young and also the one who has not faded out already.

Balayya and Boyapati seem to to be caught in this hiccup at the moment, as their trails to onboard Sonakshi Sinha are heard to have stopped due to her demand for a fat paycheck, though she acted opposite an aged hero like Rajinikanth before.

The fresh update says that Boyapati decided to convince Rakul Preet for his film with Balayya, either with his intimacy with her as he directed her for two films already or with a paycheck with her favorite numbers written on it. Many feel that Boyapati will be able to pull Rakul into this project with his success streak in Balayya combo and also that Rakul has got no big offers in Telugu right now.

Needless to say that Rakul appeared in a bit ‘bold’ role for Manmadhudu 2 alongside Nagarjuna, acting with Balayya too should not be a problem for her. With nothing great and grand happening in Bollywood too, there are fair chances that Rakul may want to get into this film. On the other side, it is being heard that Boyapati already roped in Catherine Tresa, a regular in Boyapati’s recent releases.

Boyapati dented his own image with a senseless film Vinaya Vidheya Rama and is eager to make the audience forget that nightmare with a hit in Balayya’s name.

Sarileru Vs Ala: Not 10th, But 11th Or 12th Together?

The release date clash between Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru and Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is not a new thing to Telugu folks as they are fighting for the same date from a long time. However, while Allu Arjun stuck to his 12th Jan date, Mahesh moved to 11th earlier.

But with reports doing rounds everywhere that Sarileru Neekevvaru has all the advantage for coming a day in advance, the distributors of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo got puzzled which led to creating immense pressure on Geetha Arts and Haarika-Haasini to do something. That led to another breakout of date war, which is finally not going to be settled in anyone’s favour.

As the date 10th has its nightmare for both Mahesh whose 1-Nenokkadine released on the same date, and for Trivikram who got Agnyaathavasi on the same date, both Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo will not be hitting on that date. Now, Allu Arjun wants to come on 11th in case if Sarileru Neekevvaru is sticking to that date. Or he’s said to be welcoming the film to release alongside Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo on Jan 12th.

Looks like both the heroes are not in a mood to miss out the release day advantage. But the logic seems to be: They won’t be allowing the other film to get a day advantage and eat into the revenues.

The makers are willing to up the ante ahead of its release and are holding a grand musical concert on January 6th. A promo of the event was released today.The promo has a classical touch to it as well-known duo, Priya Sisters croon a classical song that starts off with “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo”. The tune is soothing and so are the vocals.

Throwing a glance at Rajasekhar’s recent films, off-screen life and controversies till chaos at yesterday’s MAA diary launch, not everything seems to be working in his way.According to rumors popping up, there is an unofficial ban levied upon Rajasekhar already in Telugu films, as the veteran actor decided to expose MAA President Naresh’s ‘atrocities’ and ‘irregularities’, but with wrong timing.

It is already known that Rajasekhar grabbed the mic from Paruchuri Gopala Krishna and vented his anguish against his differences with Naresh and how Naresh has been behaving since winning the MAA elections. That has irked all the guests including and particularly Chiranjeevi, who later asked the disciplinary committee to take action against him.

Many went on to give a thought on why Rajasekhar turned so impulsive and expressed his anger in an irrelevant situation Leaving his frustration alone, many wonder why the big heads are not resolving these ‘petty fights’ and put an end to mutual allegations of both parties. It is not the first time, that someone from MAA decided to put their anguish in public against each other. Earlier it was Naresh who alleged the irregularities of Sivaji Raja and vice versa. Later, it was Jeevitha, Hema and others against Naresh, how the latter irked and ignored them.

Looks like it is really high time, that Seniors like Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, and Krishnam Raju to put check to ‘irregularities’ or at least make the MAA quarrels settle behind the curtains, but not in front of media. As Chiru said, the good should be announced in mic and the bad should be whispered in ears.

Flooding the timeline of her Instagram and Twitter with pictures from events and sharing travel diaries is a routine thing for queen bee Samantha. Whether she flies to Belgium, Spain or Goa with husband Naga Chaitanya, she makes sure that some bikini pics, some beach pics and some party pics are shared.

The shocker is that, despite the fact that Samantha left for Goa on Dec 31st along with husband Naga Chaitanya, the actress hasn’t shared any single picture of her New Year bash in Goa. Though Chaitanya confirmed that they are attending the annual Sun Burn festival in Goa, Samantha hasn’t shared any picture from the event or other parties in the party-capital of India.

Did Naidu Move From Society To Caste?

Telugu Desam Party leader and Guntur West constituency MLA Maddali Giridhara Rao had raised a very important issue. He wrote an open letter to party chief and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, the other day.

Giridhara Rao, popularly known as Maddali Giri, recently met chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. He claimed to have sought some funds for the development of his constituency and the chief minister had ordered the release of Rs 25 crore.

Giri is the second MLA from the TDP to meet the chief minister in the last two months. Earlier, Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, had met the chief minister. The TDP had suspended the MLA alleging his meeting with the chief minister as anti-party activity.

While the party had not taken such an action against Giri, it had appointed another leader as incharge of the Guntur West Constituency, keeping the MLA aside. This would mean that the leadership had kept him aside and would not take him into confidence any more.

The MLA reacted sharply to this action of Chandrababu Naidu and wrote an open letter. He blamed the party chief but had raised one key point in his letter.

He said that party founder late NTR had said “samajame devalayam” which means “society as a whole is the temple”. He said NTR took everyone with him in the party. But found fault with Chandrababu Naidu for taking only one caste leaders into confidence.

According to him, Chandrababu Naidu had turned the party’s slogan of “samajame devalayam” to “samajika vargame devalayam” meaning Naidu’s own caste is now a temple for him.

The MLA said that the party affairs were left into the hands of Naidu’s own caste and they were ignoring him in his constituency despite he being the MLA.

With four decades of political career and with the record of longest serving chief minister for the undivided Andhra Pradesh and first chief minister for the residuary AP, it is unfortunate that Chandrababu Naidu is playing into the hands of his own caste leaders and being rejected by others.

Capital scam: Inside and Outside!

As the farmers of 29 villages falling under Amaravati capital region stepped up their agitation with the active support of Telugu Desam Party led by N Chandrababu Naidu, the YSR Congress party has decided to go all out to against the opposition party.

The ruling party sought to expose the “real estate scam” indulged in by Naidu and his party leaders and relatives in the capital region through “insider trading” and also largescale purchase of lands from the farmers of Amaravati.

Obviously, the YSRC wants to establish that the ongoing fight by the so-called farmers is being spearheaded by Naidu and his team only to protect their lands bought through insider trading.

YSRC legislators Ambati Rambabu and T Prakash Reddy gave a power point presentation to the media how the TDP leaders resorted to insider trading and purchased huge chunk of land between June and December 2014, after they got the leak from the Naidu government on the declaration of capital at Amaravati.

The issue has naturally become a banner story for the media houses on Friday.

While Sakshi dedicated a full-page for this insider trading scam in the inside pages, Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy carried it on the front page, along with a strong rebuttal by the TDP leaders Bonda Uma and Jawahar, who demanded an inquiry by sitting high court judge into the allegations.

Andhra Jyothy also carried an interview with Prasad Panda, a Telugu-born Canadian citizen and a minister in the cabinet of Alberta province in Canada on the capital shift in Andhra Pradesh. One does not know how he is relevant to the present issue, but it appears Andhra Jyothy is planning to do interviews with prominent Telugu people across the world on the developments in AP with regard to the capital.

Both the anti-establishment papers also carried the reports of “Sakala Janula Samme” (all people’s strike) by Amaravati residents from Friday.

Meanwhile, chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s call to the officers of Anti-Corruption Bureau, expressing dissatisfaction over the performance of the organisation also figured prominently in the front pages of leading dailies. Eenadu and Sakshi made it their second lead story with the same headline: “Lancham teesukovalante bhayapadaali (One should be scared of taking bribe).

As usual, Sakshi carried the banner story in tune with the half page advertisement below on “YSR Arogya Sri” to be launched by Jagan at Eluru on Friday. Though Eenadu, too, got the advertisement, it deliberately ignored the news. Andhra Jyothy will any way does not get the advertisement and hence, hasn’t covered the news.

Andhra Jyothy also carried two stories – one is about the possible shifting of administrative capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam by coming Ugadi festival and another one on the financial crisis in the state that might result in lack of resources for Amma Vodi scheme. It says the government might go in for fresh borrowings to fund the scheme.

Heroism-elevating Scenes Added for Pawan’s Pink

The remake of Bollywood blockbuster “Pink” is all set to begin later this month.As per the dictum of Pawan Kalyan, producer Dil Raju is not coming forward to reveal the movie’s production details but he is readying everything for the big launch this month.

The script has been changed slightly to add more heroism-elevating scenes for Pawan Kalyan. Unlike the original, there will some action stunts as well to satisfy the fans of Pawan Kalyan. This is his comeback movie.

In the original Bollywood movie, Amitabh Bachchan played this role. It was remade in Tamil as ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ with Ajith. The Tamil version also had gone for some changes to suit the image of Ajith.

Now, Dil Raju has made director Venu Siram write some exclusive scenes keeping Pawan Kalyan’s star image.

The film will be produced by Dil Raju in associate with Boney Kapoor. Anjali, Nivetha Thomas and Mallesham girl Ananya Nagalla are playing the female lead.

ABAP is an international scientific organization involved in promoting the biotechnological and pharmaceutical fields in Asia, Europe and United States.

This year, Dr. Samba Reddy, Professor at the Texas A&M College of Medicine, has been conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 13th annual convention of ABAP & International Biotechnology Conference on December 20, 2019 in Vijayawada, India.

Dr. Reddy received this coveted honor in recognition of his distinguished scientific research and dedicated service to the profession in the field of pharmacy, according to the meeting souvenir and website release.

The award and Gold medal were presented to Dr. Reddy at the inaugural session by Dr. Appa Rao, Hon’ble vice-chancellor of University of Hyderabad, and Dr. K.S. Rao, Hon’ble vice-chancellor of Mizoram Central University, India.

Dr. Reddy’s work over the past two decades has laid the groundwork for understanding neurobiology of neurosteroids in brain disorders.

He has made a seminal contribution to epilepsy and elucidated the pivotal role of neurosteroids in neuroendocrine conditions, leading to the discovery of neurosteroid replacement therapy.

His work has contributed to development of two medicines for brain disorders (brexanolone and ganaxolone). This work has had a profound impact in pharmacy field and has benefitted millions of patients worldwide.

In 2019, the first neurosteroid allopregnanolone (brexanolone) was approved by the FDA for clinical use in post-partum depression, which affects nearly 10% of childbearing women.

The synthetic analog ganaxolone is in advanced trial for treating seizures disorder that affects 50 million people worldwide.

Dr. Reddy, who hails from Warangal in Telangana, has trained over 50 students/postdocs, authored 5 textbooks, and published over 190 scientific papers.

Vijayashanti’s Two Conditions for Next Films

Will Rayapati continue in TDP or change party?

It has become a habit these days for industrialists-turned-politicians belonging to opposition parties to defect to the ruling parties in order to safeguard their business interests.

We have seen such leaders like Rajya Sabha members – Sujana Chowdary, T G Venkatesh, C M Ramesh and Garikapati Mohan Rao, all having business interests, quitting the Telugu Desam Party and jumping into the Bharatiya Janata Party soon after the loss of the TDP in the recent elections.

By joining the BJP, they are managing to get away from raids by central investigating agencies like CBI, Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate.

Another former TDP MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, representing Narsaraopet parliamentary constituency, was also planning to defect to the BJP some time back.

He had met the top BJP leaders including Amit Shah in the past, but he did not take any decision for reasons known only to him.

Following the latest raids on his residences and offices in Guntur, Vijayawada and other places, the talk of his defection to the BJP has started doing rounds in the media circles again.

Apparently, even the YSR Congress party government in Andhra Pradesh, too, is gathering evidences of Rayapati’s alleged misappropriation of funds pertaining to Polavaram project by fudging the accounts and bribing the bigwigs in the then TDP government.

Under these circumstances, the only way Rayapati can wriggle out of the mess is to join the BJP. When asked about the possibility, the former MP said he had no immediate plans to defect to another party. But he did not rule out of the possibility.

“I am not quitting the TDP and joining the other parties for now. But it might happen in future,” Rayapati said.
