The Telugu Desam Party is currently facing rough patch with one on one tough times hitting their way. Just four days ago, the party lost former AP Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao and now, another death news of their party MP has left everyone in dismay. After struggling on a ventilator for nearly three days, TDP Ex-MP Naramalli Siva Prasad breathed his last today.

Siva prasad was eminently known all over India for his active participation in protests for special status to AP. He was seen protesting in various getups in front of parliament in Delhi along with other MPs. However, he always managed to grab the headlines for his quirky avatars, which are mostly hilarious. Being an actor and theatre artist himself, Siva prasad certainly showed variations in his creative prowess even while protest for special status.

Some of his famous getups were Chatrapati Sivaji, Adolf Hitler, Lord Rama, Annamayya, Alluri Sita Rama Raju, Swatch Bharat worker, Muslim Fakhhir and as an elderly woman and many more. He gained popularity with his witty dressing style while staging protests. Not only did we witness his talent while protesting, but he also aced in Tollywood with some good character roles. He bagged Nandi award back in 2005 for Krishna Vamshi’s Danger.

His costumes in front of parliament have received both criticism/flak and encouragement. Nevertheless, Sivaprasad will remain in history as someone who fought for special status in a very unique and unprecedented manner. His variety of dress-ups over the years will definitely bring a smile on our faces.

With ‘RX100′ hero Kartikeya created a market for himself but he could not keep the momentum with his next films. Recently Kartikeya starred in a negative role and impressed everyone. Now he is back as hero with yet another explicit content.

’90 ML’ is the upcoming movie of Kartikeya and the teaser of it is unveiled. Like the title, the teaser starts off with the protagonist taking a sip from the 90 ml bottle and fights goons.

“Idi Liquor Tho Nadiche Bandi” says Kartikeya to Ajay which reveals the former is alcoholic. But the ending of the teaser is hilarious.

Seems to be in a rehab, comedian Ali asks how much alcohol does Kartikeya consumes in a day. To this the protagonist replies that every now and then he takes 90 ML and this is as per doctor advise.

Shekhar Reddy Yerra is directing the film and the teaser is overall likable with hero’s unique characterization.

The film has Neha Solanki as female lead and music of Anup Rubens.

The Election Commission of India has announced the assembly election dates of Maharashtra and Haryana states. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora in a press meet in New Delhi has announced that both the states will go for voting on October 21st and the results will be declared on October 24th.

Also the Election Commission has locked the date for Huzurnagar by-election, the one which is vacated by TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy as he got elected as MP. Along with Huzurnagar, 63 constituencies across 17 states will go for by-poll.

The date for nominations will be opening on October 4th. There are 8.94 crore registered voters in Maharashtra and 1.82 crore voters in Haryana as per the Election Commission latest stats.

The Election Commission asked the political parties to restrict the use of plastic during their election campaign.

Valmiki Day 1 Collections: Gattar Lepindu!

Mega hero Varun Tej has come a long way in terms of his film’s 1st-day collections owing to the fact that he is choosy with content. His latest film Valmiki aka Gaddalakonda Ganesh has surpassed his career-best solo collections on 1st day at the box office.

Though Varun has F2 in the kitty that made 7.6+ crores share on release day, that happens to be a multi-starrer with a lot of other factors supporting the movie. But now, Valmiki has collected 6.43 crores ‘share’ on the first day, surpassing his previous solo best Tholiprema that made 5.1 crores on first day.

Valmiki got mixed reactions from critics but thumbs up from audiences as it collected 1.86 crores share from Nizam, 82 lakhs from Ceeded, 1.1+ cr from Godavari districts, thereby giving a total of 5.83 crores ‘share’ from Telugu states alone. Including 35 lakhs from Overseas and another 25 lakhs from other regions, the film made a whopping 6.43 crores share on the First Day.

In other words, we have to say that ‘Varun Gattar Lepindu’, but then the film should hold on to similar collections in the first weekend as the total target is to get 25 crores of theatrical collections to make all the distributors’ loss-free.

Bankrolled by 14 Reels Plus and directed by Harish Shankar, the film’s title change seems to have no impact on the film’s prospects at the box office.

B-town actress Kangana Ranaut’s latest prosthetic makeup pictures of transforming herself into late leader Jayalalithaa is doing rounds on the internet. Her upcoming biopic ‘Thalaivi’ is all about Jayalalithaa, who served as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for 14 years, besides being a well-established actress in the South film industry.

Kangana is reportedly working very hard for the film as she is looking to transform completely into the look and appearance of Jayalalithaa. The actress is also learning Bharatanatyam and Tamil language to emphasize her role. To build a realistic and visually stunning look, Kangana is taking all the pressure to take it to a whole new level.

The pictures show her efforts and patience while makeup artists focused to magically transform her into another person. Kangana left for Los Angeles two days ago for this look test done by Hollywood makeup artist Jason Collins. Looking at the pictures, fans ask whether she can breathe in all those prosthetic materials drenched on her.

Definitely, the images are impressive and hope it turns out to be one of the greatest transformations. The biopic will go on floors after Diwali in Mysore and the director AL Vijay is planning to release the film in three languages Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Produced by Vishu Vardhan Induri, the film Thalaivi will be titled as Jaya in Hindi.

#BoatAccident: What’s The Correct Number?

The boat tragedy at Kanchhuluru in East Godavari district has turned into an ugly verbal war between political leaders. The other day former Amalapuram MP Harsha Kumar had raked up a controversy by accusing minister Avanthi Srinivas behind this whole accident.

Ex-MP Harsha Kumar alleged that there were 93 passengers in the boat at the time of the accident but the government is projecting the number as just 77. It was minister Avanthi Srinivas who instructed the police officials to give permission as the YSRCP minister is into this business. The ex-MP added that he visited the nearby villages and got to real facts of the incident.

If the boat is removed from the underwater, the death toll will be higher. “There is an a/c cabin in the boat and many are stuck in it. If the boat is brought to the land, more number of bodies will come out. Owing to fear, the officials are not doing anything to at the behest of minister Avanthi,” said Harsh Kumar further.

Rubbing these allegations, minister Avanthi said, there is no truth in Harsha Kumar’s statements and if proved, Avanthi is ready for any punishment.

Meanwhile, the search operations at the accident spot is still going on. So far 36 bodies of the deceased are recovered while 16 are yet to be traced.

Irrespective of the leaders allegations and counters, it is the people who need to know the facts about this incident as they are the sufferers.

Deverakonda’s ‘DC’ in Oscar entries list

Hero Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Dear Comrade’ is one of the 28 films in contention for Oscar’s entry under Foreign Language category from India.

Film Federation of India (FFI) which has the authority of sending Indian films to the Oscar’s has selected 28 films across multiple film industries in the country. ‘Dear Comrade’ too got a place among the likes of ‘Andhadhun, ‘Badhai Ho’ ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ ‘Gully Boy’ and others.

Surprisingly ‘Dear Comrade’ is the only Telugu film in this list and this is a unique feat.

‘Dear Comrade’ was an emotional love story written and directed by Bharat Kamma and produced by Mythri Movie Makers banner.

Telangana to Ban Online Movie Ticket Sales?

Giving a surprise to various online ticket booking apps and websites, Telangana’s Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas has hinted a possibility that very soon the government will be coming up their own ticket portal for selling movie tickets.

In order to stop looting movie lovers in the name of innumerable taxes and erratic pricing strategies when they buy tickets online, the TS government is said to be considering this step. A Rs 200 ticket is going to cost nearly 20 rupees more when purchased online because there is huge service tax. Many cinema lovers have earlier expressed their concern over these extra charges.

At the same time various websites like Bookmyshow, Paytm, Easymovies and others charge as per demand and also one wonders if the tickets are really sold out or some artificial demand is being created. To keep a check over this, it looks like TS government is contemplating to take a momentous initiative of launching a special website for online booking of movie tickets.

But the million-dollar question is, can the government created ticket booking site match the speed, interactivity and service of platforms like book my show.
