Nagarjuna To Romance Son’s Heroine Again
In a rarity, our film industry is winning the unique distinction of dad and son romancing the same girl on the silver screen. While Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Nagarjuna have done it with Sridevi, we have Nag doing the same with Naga Chaitanya’s heroines too.
Already there are heroines like Rakul Preet Singh (Rarandoi Veduka Chooddam with Chay and Manmadhudu 2 with Nag) and Lavanya Tripathi (Soggade Chinni Nayana with Nag and Yuddham Saranam with Chay) who have acted with both the Akkineni stars. And now, it looks like this dusky heroine is to join this list.
She is none other than Pooja Hegde, who has earlier got paired with Naga Chaitanya in Oka Laila Kosam, before she turned into a glamorous damsel. And now, Nagarjuna is said to be thinking about bringing Pooja aboard for his Bangarraju, where Naga Chaitanya is likely to romance Keerthi Suresh.
That’s interesting to see even young heroes agreeing to romance 32-year-old Chay and his 59-year-old father Nagarjuna as well.
#RRR: 3 Cr Introduction Song For NTR & Charan
The shooting of Rajamouli’s #RRR is very much going on in Hyderabad and the creative director that India is waiting for is said to be delivering only the best. After wrapping the current work in hand, the team is now preparing to shoot a song on the film’s leads, Ram Charan and Jr NTR.
Reports are coming that Rajamouli is going for a huge set that will be erected at Ramoji Film City to shoot the introduction song of the movie’s principal characters. The song will be explaining what the characters of NTR and Charan are all about, and how they are going to take part in the freedom struggle. It’s heard that the whole song will be costing more than 3 crores for the production of this song.
However, one wonders if Rajamouli will also finalise the heroine for NTR or not by the time this song gets made. Also, we might wonder if the director will showcase his heroes dancing to some floor moves or not, as this happens to be a patriotic film that needs such crazy dance steps.
NTV Chowdary to join BJP?
Promoter of popular Telugu television channel NTV Narendra Chowdary might join Bharatiya Janata party sooner or later, in order to prevent forcible acquisition of channel by industrialists close to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Sources said Chowdary, who is presently in the United States of America to take part in the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) conferences, held preliminary rounds of talks with BJP general secretary Ram Madhav who attended the conference as a guest.
Sources said NTV has quite a few small time investors in the channel. Apparently, the TRS leadership is trying to acquire all those shares one after the other through industrialists close to it, so that they would ultimately take over the channel.
In order to pre-empt these attempts, NTV Chowdary is trying to bring pressure through the BJP on these investors to sell their stakes to BJP leaders.
Apparently, a national channel network owned by BJP MP will acquire these shares, while Chowdary will continue to retain his stake.
Once Chowdary gets the BJP backing, he can take on the TRS strongly. For that, the BJP leadership is understood to have offered a good position to Chowdary.
Though there were reports that Chowdary might sell his entire stake to the BJP MP, sources said there was no truth in the reports.
While he continues to have the majority stake, he will take the pro-BJP stand that would benefit him in the long run, sources said.
AP will lose Rs 1.20 lakh cr if Jagan surrenders to KCR!
If Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy feels that ‘friendship’ with Telangana Chief Minister KCR is important for him and he does not want any confrontation with KCR, Andhra Pradesh will lose nearly Rs 1.20 lakh crore.
This is the summary of the second day meeting between TS and AP officials at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday, which was held as a follow-up to the meeting between KCR and Jagan at Pragathi Bhavan on Friday.
The meeting was held to discuss on sharing of assets and liabilities of common institutions listed under Schedule IX and X of the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.
The chief secretaries of AP and TS besides senior officials from various departments from both the states participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, the Telangana officials made it clear that the assets of common institutions should completely belong to a state in which the particular institution is located.
This would mean that all the institutions automatically belong to Telangana as they were set up in Hyderabad because it was the capital of Undivided AP.
All these institutions together own assets worth Rs 2 lakh crore in the form of valuable lands and buildings in Hyderabad.
Jagan simply handed over AP Secretariat, Assembly, HoD buildings in Hyderabad to Telangana to maintain ‘cordial relations’ with KCR and Telangana government within a week of becoming CM of AP.
If Jagan adopts same policy, then he has to leave all the institutions in Hyderabad to Telangana.
Normally, all the assets are being shared in the ratio of 52:48 between AP and TS in proportionate to their population. AP is entitled for 52 per cent share while TS 42 per cent share.
However, KCR has been rejecting this saying that they will only share the funds deposited in various banks of these institutions with AP but will not share lands, buildings and other assets as they belonged to Telangana as per geographical location.
If Jagan does not want confrontation with KCR, he has to agree for KCR’s proposal.
This will result in AP losing assets worth Rs 1.20 lakh crore in Telangana.
It remains to be seen whether Jagan prefers friendship with KCR over the interests of AP or fight with KCR to claim rightful share for AP in the assets held by common institutions in Hyderabad.
YS Jagan Fans Angry on Mahesh Babu
When Vijay Niramala passed away, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy came down all the way from Vijayawada to pay his last respects and consoled the grieving Superstar Krishna and his family members.
Mahesh Babu was conspicuous by his absence during YS Jagan’s visit. He didn’t come to meet the Andhra CM.
Where as Mahesh Babu dutifully was present to receive former Nara Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister when Naidu consoled Krishna at his residence.
He was careful to be present at his father’s house when Naidu was visiting.
This has not gone well with YS Jagan’s fans. They are criticizing Mahesh Babu’s attitude. YSRC party men and fans say Mahesh Babu is another thankless celebrity and Jagan should not spare these guys who benefitted heavily during YSR’s regime.
Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy had done lot of favors to Superstar Krishna and even bailed him out in a row pertaining to Padmalaya Studios’ lands.
When Mahesh Babu slapped a video parlour owner in Warangal after the release of “Sainikudu”, it was YSR who made sure that Mahesh didn’t face further charges.
Mahesh Babu too used to be good friend of YS Jagan back then. However, entire family members of Krishna have turned back on YSRC party later.
Even Krishna’s brother Adiseshagiri Rao left YSRC party and joined TDP just before the assembly polls.
Hence, YS Jagan’s fans are now asking the CM through social media to avoid Mahesh Babu totally and teach him a lesson when the time comes.
Uyyalawada Family to Take Legal Fight with Ram Charan
The shoot of “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy”, a film based on the life of great freedom warrior Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, has been completed and the movie is gearing up for release on 2nd October.
The pre-release business is also being done on record scale.
While producer Ram Charan is trying to mint profits from this mammoth project, the descendants of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy who are residing in Uyyalawada village in Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh are waging a fight against Ram Charan.
They staged a protest at Ram Charan’s office in Hyderabad when he didn’t compensate them for the loss of their crop when the movie was shot in their farm lands.
Charan also has not paid the amount for parting rights to film the story of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy as agreed earlier.
After waiting for months, the family members have now decided to take legal course to get money from Ram Charan.
Producer Charan should compromise with the family or he would face problems during the release of the movie.
Top 5: Brochevarevarura Clicks But Kalki Disappoints
1) Kalki: Rajasekhar’s latest outing Kalki was expected to be another impressive film like Garuda Vega. But director Prashanth Varma messed it up by trying to present an intriguing concept in a commercial way.
Kalki’s first weekend numbers are paltry compared to the amounts it was sold for. It is heading for a flop unless there is a miraculous turnaround.
2) Brochevarevarura: This crime comedy has opened on a low note but picked up because of the positive word of mouth and reviews.
The makers should have promoted it well so that it would have registered better numbers in its first weekend.
3) Kabir Singh: There’s no stopping Kabir Singh juggernaut at the box office. The film has registered best second weekend numbers for a Bollywood film this year so far.
It is set to become the highest grossing film of the year by beating Uri: The Surgical Strike.
4) Article 15: Ayushman Khurana continues to pick right scripts and improve his credibility both as an actor and crowd puller with each film.
Article 15 has seen a considerable rise in collections on Saturday and Sunday.
5) Agent Sai Srinivasa Atreya: This small film turned out to be a surprise winner at box office proving content is the king.
It has surpassed $250K mark in US, which is a phenomenal feat for a film of this scale.
Jagan became CM only to send Naidu to jail: RK

AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has no priorities for the development of Andhra Pradesh or welfare of people. His only priority is to send TDP chief and former AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu to jail by hook or by crook.
It’s one month since Jagan became CM of AP and he spent the entire month investigating and thinking how to fix Naidu in some scam, how to book cases against Naidu and how to send Naidu to jail.
This is the analysis done by ABN Andhra Jyothy owner Vemuri Radhakrishna on the one-month rule of Jagan as CM of AP.
In his weekly column “Kotha Paluku” in ABN-Andhra Jyothy today, Radhakrishna said Jagan is wasting his precious term as CM to take revenge on Naidu instead of focussing on AP’s development and implementation of Nava Ratnalu.
The one-month rule of Jagan shows that the only purpose of Jagan as CM is to fix Naidu in some scam or the other and send him to jail, he observes.
Radhakrishna says Jagan strongly feels that Naidu is behind sending him to Chanchalguda jail for 16 months and Jagan now wants to take revenge by sending Naidu to jail at least for a day.
Radhakrishna says by doing so, Jagan is only helping Naidu to gain public sympathy and there is nothing Jagan can achieve by sending Naidu to jail.
He opines that AP people already started realising Jagan’s moves and started talking that Jagan has no other work except to dig old cases against Naidu and send him to jail and if Jagan fails to realise this and take corrective measures, he will have to pay a heavy price in next elections.
Radhakrishna also accused Jagan of demolishing Praja Vedika in haste out of hatred for Naidu saying that the Jagan’s action only amounted to wastage of Rs 8 crore public money and the demolition caused no personal loss to either Jagan or Naidu.
Radhakrishna asked Jagan to realise that he was voted to power by AP people to rule and develop the state and not to take revenge on Naidu.
Clinical England beat India to keep semis hopes alive

Birmingham: The stage was set for a vintage M.S. Dhoni finish as India needed 104 off the last 10 overs with the former India skipper just in and warming up at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Sunday. But his attempt to take the game deep saw India left with 57 needed off the last 18 balls.
In the end, India finished on 306/5 as England registered a 31-run win, their first over India in 27 years in World Cups. The win saw England stay alive with a chance to qualify for the semi-final stages as Rohit Sharmas 102 went in vain.
Chasing 338 for a win was never going to be easy, especially when India lost opener K.L. Rahul for a duck with the score on 8. But with skipper Virat Kohli joining the in-form Rohit Sharma in the middle, it was all about buying time in the middle as they blunted the English attack with their perfect mix of caution and aggression. While they sent every bad ball to the boundary, they looked to pick the ones and twos when the England bowlers bowled a tight line.
It all looked hunky dory as Kohli and Rohit cruised to their respective fifties – Kohli’s fifth in a row – till Liam Plunkett dismissed the India skipper against the run of play in the 29th over for a 76-ball 66. Pitching on the fifth stump, the bowler induced the wide drive and James Vince – substitute for Jason Roy — picked a diving catch. The 138-run partnership coming to an abrupt end.
With the score reading 146/2, Rishabh Pant walked in to join Rohit. While Pant looked anxious to start with, a lot of counselling from Rohit finally saw him settle down, but Rohit was the next one to throw his wicket away after doing all the hard work and reaching his 25th ODI hundred as he went for a wild hoick off Chris Woakes. The score read 198/3 with 140 needed off 13.5 overs.
Hardik Pandya joined Pant and the two did put on some display as they looked to take the attack to the English bowlers, but one shot too many finally saw Pant (32) perish as Woakes picked a blinder at the long leg boundary.
After that, it was on Dhoni and Pandya to see India home, but an attempt to hit Plunkett out of the park saw Pandya (45) dismissed in the 45th over with India still needing another 71 runs off 31 balls. Kedar Jadhav walked in to join Dhoni in the middle, but the England bowlers kept bowling a tight line as the duo failed to score at around 15 runs every over. While Dhoni finished with an unbeaten 31-ball 42, Kedar was unbeaten on 12 off 31 balls.
Earlier, it was all about being slow and steady as the English batsmen started cautiously and then launched into a late-innings flourish in their must-win game. Riding on the back of a brilliant 160-run opening stand between centurion Jonny Bairstow (111) and Jason Roy (66), England finished on 337/7 in their 50 overs.
Not to forget the brilliant 54-ball 79 from Ben Stokes at the end of the innings that stole all the limelight from a Mohammed Shami fifer, his maiden. In fact, Stokes ensured that Shami’s figures wore a sorry look as he took the attack to the pacer in his last two overs, hammering him to all parts of the ground.
With skipper Eoin Morgan winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Roy and Bairstow started cautiously with Shami bowling really well. At the end of the first powerplay, England’s score read 47/0 in 10. But that was part of the larger plan as the English batsmen made it clear that they played out the duo of Shami and Jasprit Bumrah before launching into the rest of the bowlers.
On a ground which offered prodigious turn in the game between New Zealand and Pakistan, a change of wicket saw the Indian spinners negated with both returning expensive figures. While Kuldeep Yadav went for 72 from his 10, Yuzvendra Chahal was taken for 88 from his 10.
Roy’s return, even though he was seen limping in certain stages of his knock, saw Bairstow also gain in confidence as the two batsmen looked at ease against the Indian bowlers after playing out the initial burst from Shami and Bumrah.
Interestingly, Roy got a life on 21 when a fine flick off the gloves was caught down the leg by Dhoni, only for the umpire to call it a wide. Hardik Pandya was the unfortunate bowler as Dhoni didn’t want a DRS call on it. The life seemed to change the approach of the English batsmen as they started to take the attack to the bowlers.
After that it was a clear case of the England batsmen taking the Indian bowlers to the cleaners before Rahul’s injury turned to be a boon in disguise for the Indians. Coming in as a substitute, Ravindra Jadeja picked up a blinder at long-on to send Roy back as the score read 160/1 in the 23rd over. Rahul had landed on his back while attempting a catch at the boundary and didn’t return to field. But an external injury meant he could open the innings when India batted.
Bairstow though continued his onslaught with Joe Root for company before Kohli turned back to Shami in desperation. And the pacer answered his captain’s call as he sent back Bairstow, caught by Pant in the 32nd over. It was a clear case of a sudden failure to get the scoreboard moving after reaching his century. Having reached the three-figure mark off 90 balls, he ended on 111 off 109 balls.
The Indians did make a silent return into the game with Shami sending back Morgan (1) cheaply, but Root then consolidated with Ben Stokes as the two once again kept the scoreboard moving to ensure that the score read 245/3 after 40 overs with the last 10 up for another flourish.
While Shami did send back Root (44) – caught by Pandya – in the 45th over, Jos Buttler joined Stokes in the middle to ensure that the English innings finished on fifth gear. By the time Shami sent back Buttler for a 8-ball 20, the spark had already been ignited. Stokes too departed in the last over as he looked to paddle Bumrah to the fine-leg stand, but the damage had been done.
Brief Scores: England: 337/7 (Bairstow 111, Stokes 79; Shami 5/69); India: 306/5 (Rohit 102; Plunkett 3/55)
