The super success of “F2: Fun And Frustration” has somehow not landed Punjabi beauty Mehreen Kaur Pirzada is some plum offers. After a long wait, finally, she has got Gopichand’s next that is being directed by Tamil filmmaker Thiru.

Since Mehreen walked out of Kalyaan Dhev’s second film, in which Sudheer Babu is the hero initially, we hear that young heroes are a bit scared because she might walk out of a film at any given time. And then, Mehreen is now said to be looking forward to star with senior heroes as well.

Reports are coming that she is in talks with director KS Ravikumar and producer C Kalyan for a role opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna. At a time when Balayya is facing issues to cast young heroines alongside him, surely Mehreen will be a useful asset that could help with the film’s marketing.

In case if this opportunity is true, then Mehreen should pull off quite well like a Kajal in Khaidi No 150 such that young heroes will run for her even after getting paired with a senior hero.

Samantha Should Have Dared To Do That

Finally, the much awaited poster of Samantha’s Oh Baby got released. Though there were reports recently that SureshBabu is not happy with the final product, it looks like this poster release cleared all the air over such rumours.

For people who know the story, Samantha actually plays the younger version of that 80-year-old grandma played by senior actress Lakshmi. Due to some ‘science fiction’ magic, the granny Lakshmi turns to young lady, played by Samantha. However it would have been a super stunner if Samantha would have played both the roles, isn’t it?

If Samantha would have dared some prosthetic makeup like a Kamal Haasan in Bharateeyudu to do that granny role, surely she would have walked away with all the honours. But somehow, it looks like both Samantha and her producers haven’t got convinced with such thought.

Directed by Nandini Reddy, Oh Baby is an official remake of the Korean movie Miss Granny. The original film is also having two actresses playing the role of 74-year-old and the 20-year-old, maybe Samantha followed the same.

US man put plane on autopilot to have sex with minor

Washington: A 53-year-old millionaire trader could get five-year jail term after pleading guilty to engaging in sex acts with a 15-year-old girl, once even putting his private plane in autopilot mode for the purpose.

Stephen Bradley Mell, 53, of Bedminster, New Jersey, pleaded guilty to federal charges of engaging in interstate travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct and receiving child pornography in December 2018 and is now due for sentencing on Tuesday.

Mell, a father-of-three who had a brokerage firm, was accused of committing sex acts with a 15-year-old girl whose mother had approached him so that he could give her flying lessons, the Daily Mail reported.

Ahead of his sentencing, Mell’s legal team has argued he is a ‘humble man’ who was on ‘multiple anti-depressants’ after falling into ‘a spiral of depression’ brought on by survivors’ guilt over giving up his seat on a fatal helicopter trip with friends in 2012.

Mell also faces sentencing in July on a state charge related to sexual activity with the teen, which he pleaded guilty to earlier this month.

Mell started his own charity, Air LifeLine, which flew children with medical needs anywhere in the US for treatment.

BJP sees opportunity to grow in Telangana!

Though the exact outcome of the general elections held across the country will be known only on Thursday, the exit poll results announced by various agencies have brought a new lease of life for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Telangana.

As there are indications that the BJP will retain power at the Centre with a huge majority, party leaders are in Telangana are seeing a greater opportunity to develop the party independently as a potential alternative to the TRS in the next five years.

In fact, Telangana BJP president K Laxman said the growth of the BJP in Telangana would faster than the party in West Bengal, where it is emerging as a potential rival to the Trinamul Congress headed by Mamata Banerjee.

West Bengal was the citadel of the Communist party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) for several years, before it was conquered by the Trinamul Congress.

Now, the CPI (M) got completely faded away and has been reduced to a nominal position. As a result, the BJP is trying to emerge as a powerful alternative.

Similarly in Telangana, which was once dominated by the Congress, has now become a fortress of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi headed by K Chandrasekhar Rao.

After the latest assembly elections, the Congress party has shrunk further and is just struggling to survive.

Now, the BJP is trying to take its position and grow independently as an alternative to the TRS. If not now, the people will have to choose an alternative to the TRS and it would be the BJP, say the BJP leaders.

Laxman sid the BJP would rewrite the political history in Telangana State in the near future just as it had done in West Bengal.

Like Trinamul Congress in West Bengal, which has become autocratic and tyrannical, the Telangana, too, is witnessing a similar autocratic and dictatorial regime of the TRS, he said.

“Entire Telangana is waiting for good days to come in the State to free themselves from the TRS regime,” he said.

“The Congress is going to vanish in the State and those accused the majority people with fashionable political rhetoric like Hindu terror, Hindus or Bondus will face backlash,” he said.

Nivetha Thomas Not Interested in Sister Roles

Amidst reports that Nivetha Thomas is going to play sister to Allu Arjun in director Trivikram’s film, her close associates have denied of signing this movie.

She has not been approached for any role in Allu Arjun’s film, they said.

KVP has special relationship with Jagan!

Senior Congress party leader and Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao always maintains a very low profile in politics, except on issues like Polavaram major irrigation project.

Not many people know that though KVP has been loyal to the Congress party, he has a very close relationship with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. KVP’s family and that of Jagan’s father late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy have been very close friends and it is still continuing even after YSR’s premature death in September 2009.

During the house-warming ceremony of Jagan at Tadepalli, it was KVP’s wife who had played active role in making arrangements, eye-witnesses said. There is a talk that Jagan still looks up to the advice of KVP in crucial times.

In an interview to a television channel, KVP made some interesting comments on Jagan.

“My relationship with Jagan was not an ordinary one, but a special one, which cannot be broken so easily. It is purely personal and has nothing to do with politics,” he said.

He reminded that he had been a friend of YSR right from the college days and much before the latter entered politics.

“I have known Jagan since his birth, so the bondage much stronger,” he said.

KVP said he won’t be able to explain openly why he was not supporting Jagan and it was not an appropriate time to discuss it.

The Congress MP, however, said he had never come in the way of Jagan, who had chosen to take his own political line.

“I have been a Congress loyalist and whatever the high command says, I will follow its directions religiously,” he said.

Stating that the Congress high command had never sought his opinion or help in bringing Jagan back into the Congress fold or seeking his support to the Congress at the Centre.

“But if the high command orders me to take the initiative in this regard, I will definitely accept it,” KVP said.

Let’s recap Pawan Kalyan’s political yatra…..

Pawan Kalyan began his political journey in 2009 as president of Yuvarajyam, youth wing of his brother floated political party ‘Prajarajyam’. His 2009 stint was a disaster.

He then continued acting in films and went on delivering blockbusters like “Gabbar Singh” and “Attarintiki Daaredi”.

Super hit show in 2014

In 2014, when Andhra Pradesh was divided into two states, Pawan Kalyan launched his own party Jana Sena but he and his party stayed away from contesting the polls. Instead, he campaigned for TDP and BJP, both the parties came into power.

His 2014’s political show not only was a blockbuster, his image and clout skyrocketed. PM Modi personally invited him for his swearing-in ceremony. Such was Pawan Kalyan’s image back then.

He returned back to Tollywood and continued doing films. However, all his films turned duds this time.

After the colossal flop of “Agnyaathavaasi”, Pawan Kalyan bid bye to films and took up his political party activities seriously.

In 2019 elections, he and his party, for the first time, entered into polls fray. This is his debut election battle.

He contested from Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram assembly seats, while his Jana Sena party has alliance with Left parties and BSP and fielded candidates nearly in 140 seats.

Exit polls have predicted that Pawan Kalyan might win one seat either Bhimavaram or Gajuwaka. The exit polls have given the picture that his party may also be reduced to just 4-5 seats in the Assembly, and no parliament seat is predicted.

Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka…Tough battle

Bhimavaram is predominantly dominated by Rajus and Kapus. Rajus have upper hand. This seat has been represented by either Congress party candidate or TDP candidates mostly from 1980’s.

Pawan Kalyan is facing stiff competition from YSRC candidate here. It would not be easy for him to secure the seat. However, some exit polls said that he may win this seat narrowly.

Gajuwaka assembly constituency was created in 2009 when it was won by Praja Rajyam Party. In 2014, Pawan Kalyan himself campaigned for TDP candidate and the TDP won this constituency.

This time, it had seen triangle fight but early trends say Pawan Kalyan might scape through to emerge as winner here.

Like film industry, politics in India is all about gossip and speculation. And political reporting is all about kite flying – writing gossip based on imagination or hearsay. Sometimes, it is also about planting stories, as the situation demands.

One of the speculations doing rounds in the last few hours is that the Bharatiya Janata Party might push the candidature of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu for the Prime Minister post, in the event of the party failing to get adequate numbers in the Lok Sabha elections, results of which will be declared on May 23.

According to this speculative report, Narendra Modi would opt out of the race, if the BJP fails to secure more than 200 seats.

Though the names of other top leaders line Nitin Gadkari or Arun Jaitely or even Rajnath Singh might be considered, the Sangh is expected to suggest the name of Venkaiah Naidu in order to secure the support of MPs from Andhra and Telangana.

Secondly, Venkaiah is soft-spoken and can command respect from many allies, unlike Narendra Modi whom many of the NDA partners themselves do not like.

Well, these are all speculations as mentioned in the beginning. The possibility is very unlikely especially in the wake of the exit polls conducted by various agencies that predicted landslide victory for the BJP-led NDA!

Boyapati Planning Multi-Starrer!

There is no way than taking a backseat for dashing director Boyapati Sreenu after his Vinaya Vidheya Rama with Ram Charan has ended up as a mega disaster. That is the reason why his film with Balayya got delayed and the Nandamuri hero has taken up KS Ravikumar’s project.

And then, Boyapati tried luck with young heroes like Akhil and RX100 fame Karthikeya but nothing materialised. Though he thought of waiting for Balakrishna again, latest reports have that he is actually getting ready to make a multi-starrer film with two young heroes. Some other writer is said to be giving a terrific story to this director.

Though there are no signals about this from Boyapati camp, the industry is abuzz that two young and happening heroes are likely to star in this film. What is important here is that the director has to make sure that the film will have a good story and content, unlike his recent duds.
