Jagan’s Big Shock To Centre!
In a first shocker to the Centre from AP Chief Minister, AP state government has defied the Centre’s advise to not review the Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) done by the previous government. Contrary to the advise of the Secretary of Union New and Renewable energy Anand Kumar, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy went ahead and ordered for a detailed review of PPAs claiming that Rs 2636 Crore loss was incurred to the state exchequer.
Jagan-led AP state government has even stated that it would take legal action against those who hold responsible for the loss to public money.To look into the alleged irregularities in PPAs involving renewable energy projects of wind and solar, Jagan ordered the officials to seek the assistance of ACB, CID, vigilance and enforcement directorate
This is the second time in the last 15 years that the PPAs entered into by Chandrababu Naidu government are being reviewed. Earlier 10 years ago, then CM late YS Rajasekhar Reddy had ordered for the review of PPAs entered into by Chandrababu Naidu and the outcome by Rosaiah committee was nothing substantial. Political analysts opine that even Jagan’s government could not achieve much by reviewing the PPAs since the PPAs were approved by the Regulatory Commissions.
It can be noted that Union Renewable Energy Secretary Anand Kumar had written a letter to AP Chief Secretary LV Subramanyam and expressed serious concerns over the review of PPAs. He had stated that revisiting the PPAs would shake the confidence of the investors in the sector and adversely affects the future bids and investments in the state and the country. Notwithstanding his advise, AP state government has ordered to review the PPAs. This is indeed Jagan’s shocker to the Centre.
Take Our Lands, But Stay With Us – Farmers Tell Naidu
The demolition of Praja Vedika and the notices served upon to Chandrababu’s leased house in Amaravati has kicked up a huge uproar in the capital region. Amaravati farmers have come in large number and surrounded Chandrababu’s lease house as a mark of support. Farmers turned up in large number against the government’s move to vacate Naidu from his residence.
Farmers have voluntarily come to meet Naidu and declared their support to the TDP chief. They have urged Naidu to not leave the residence and even offered him to give their lands to construct his house. The farmers have requested Naidu to not leave the place and asked him to stay in the same area.
Few farmers went onto question Jagan’s move to demolish Praja Vedika instead of using it for the official meetings and other government works. It is questioned that why the buildings of Gokaraju Rangaraju and Manthena Satyanarayana Raju and other buildings that fall under River Conservation Area have been ignored and why only Praja Vedika and Chandrababu’s leased house from Lingamaneni have been targeted.

The demand to get an admission in government schools was a thing of uncertainty. But, with the announcement of Amma Vodi programme by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s new govt in AP, the public schools are in huge demand. Let us take the case of Krishna district and understand the scenario with rise in number of admissions in government schools, including model schools, municipal, ZP and MPP schools.
According to the officials, a total of 1,51,719 new admissions happened for this academic year and 42,893 students out of them took admission in English medium schools. A total of 30,327 students for their admission in Telugu medium government schools. These figures tell us the kind of impact ‘Amma Vodi’ has created among the parents. Every year, the state officials run a campaign called ‘Badibada’ to attract students to government schools. But, Amma Vodi program has ensured to reach maximum strength in just 4 days after schools reopened.
Amma Vodi is a major initiative by Jagan’s govt which is aimed at providing a financial assistance of Rs 15,000 to all mothers who join their student in a schools. Recently, the government clarified it would be applicable to all schools and extended the scheme for intermediate students too.
Gudivada Mandal of Krishna has set a record with a high admissions for English medium school- i.e 5,351, it is followed by Vijayawada and Machilipatnam with 5000+ admissions in each town. Education department officials confirm that same is the case in rest of the districts and it is going to be a handful of work for government school teachers as well.

Music is composed by Mani Sharma while lyrics are written by Bhaskara Bhatla. Anurag Kulkarnu and Ramya Behara have lent their vocals.
Puri Jagannadh is the director ‘iSmart Shankar’ and the song is shot on the backdrop of beach.

Mythri Naveen Rubbishes ‘Production’ Rumours
Producer Naveen Yerneni, the man behind blockbusters like Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage, and Rangasthalam, has refuted the rumours that he would be floating a new production house. Naveen has clarified that he has no plans to start a solo production house as his existing production house Mythri Movie Makers has got a good track record and credible image among distributors, buyers as well as audiences.
Mythri Movie Makers, founded by Naveen Yerneni and his close friends Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili and CV Mohan, has been producing medium budget films like Chitralahari, Dear Comrade and Uppena besides big-budget films with star heroes. Amidst this, the producer Naveen stated that he has no plans to start a new production house at this juncture. He made it clear that Mythri Movie Makers would continue to churn out meaningful, interesting cinema.

Rumour: Sukumar To Direct Vijay Devarakonda
Currently, director Sukumar is working on the pre-production aspects of his next film that will feature Allu Arjun in the lead. And at the same time, it looks like the director is also readying some other projects as well.
A report has that the creative director narrated an emotional story to young sensation Vijay Devarakonda. Though there was a buzz earlier that Puri Jagan will be directing Devarakonda, it looks like Sukumar from the senior directors gang has grabbed that chance. How far that is true anyway?
Ever since Sukumar agreed to release the trailer of Vijay Devarakonda’s brother Anand’s debut film “Dorasani”, this rumour is doing rounds. Many are thinking that the Rangasthalam director is doing this launching favour because he is going to direct the senior Devarakonda soon. Sources close to them, however, confirmed that there is no such film planned.
Meanwhile, Sukumar will release Dorasani trailer on July 1st, and we have to see if it will give needed hype for the film as the teaser hasn’t met the expectations of Vijay’s fans and Anand surfacing at the end of trolls.
Anushka Shetty denies injury rumours
There are rumours spreading about actress Anushka Shetty’s health after some section of the media reported that she was injured while shooting for the film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which stars the actor Chiranjeevi.
The report also claimed that doctors had suggested that the actress took a few weeks’ rest.
With the news spreading like wildfire, Anushka has denied any truth in the claims and reports with a message on social media.
“I am hale, healthy and happy shooting in Seattle. Love you all (sic),” reads her post on her Instagram page.
According to a source, the actress plays a cameo in the period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, narrating the story of Narasimha Reddy, while appearing in between the film.
