NTR to collaborate with Virat Kohli?

Tollywood star Jr NTR and Indian Cricket captain Virat Kohli are two big names in the entertainment and sports industries respectively. While Kohli is entertaining cricket fans, Tarak is one of the huge stars down south.
Now, if the latest reports are to believed then both of them are expected to partner for an awareness program. According to widespread speculation on social media, Virat Kohli, Jr NTR and 7 other prominent may join hands for ‘Road and Alcohol Awareness Program’, which will be hosted by the national news channel NDTV.
It has been planned to bring awareness on road accidents, drunken driving and how the families suffer in case of any unexpected events. NDTV is more likely to rope in prominent faces from many other fields as ambassadors to this awareness program.
Already, Cricket star Kohli is endorsing a wide range of brands and NTR also is promoting some brands in Telugu. An official announcement in this regard is likely to be made soon.
Again, TDP Took U-Turn In Delhi?

In a surprise move, the Telugu Desam Party has changed its stand on ruling BJP in Parliament. TDP has extended its full support to the new Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed Om Birla’s name for the speaker post, TDP strengthened Modi’s proposal which shocked Telugu MPs in Lok Sabha.
Not just this, TDP has decided to back BJP government in whatever good decisions it takes. TDP MPs Jayadev Galla, Ram Mohan Naidu have formally said so in the Lok Sabha after the speaker election.
But why suddenly changed its mind on BJP is a million Dollar question. Is TDP trying to re-patch with BJP or this support is just confined for the speaker election? We need to wait till any TDP leader opens up.
Young & Dynamic Leader As TDP AP President

There has been a demand since very long that a BC leader should be made the chief of Andhra Pradesh TDP. Currently Kimidi Kala Venkat Rao is boss of AP TDP and he might be replaced very soon. Venkat Rao failed to retain his MLA seat in the recent elections and we hear the TDP national president Chandrababu is looking for a change.
As per the insiders from TDP, many leaders are suggesting Srikakulam MP K Ram Mohan Naidu’s name. Being a young leader, he is quite active in the party and has proved his mettle by fighting for Andhra Pradesh rights in the Lok Sabha. TDP leaders opine that by appointing Ram Mohan Naidu, they can out checkmate to ruling YSR Congress party which is claiming that it is supporting the community in all sorts.
Chandrababu is on a vacation now and after he returns, he is expected to take a call. TDP leaders indirectly hinted that Chandrababu is okay with Ram Mohan Naidu, so it will be just a formal announcement.
If this happens, it would be a challenging task for Ram Mohan Naidu as TDP is facing crisis sort of situation in AP and it will be hell of a work to revive the party.
Saaho Scaring Top Heroes Of Other Industries!
Saaho has been creating ripples on YouTube and other video sharing platforms with record number of views.
The mega budget action extravaganza is riding on Prabhas’s popularity as Baahubali. It is not only buzzing in Telugu states but also in other languages.
Other film industries are not seeing Saaho as a dubbed film given the craze and hype around it.
The film is so huge that even top heroes of other language film industry are scaring to release their films against it.
According to Kollywood buzz, Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film Nerkonda Parvai that was supposed to release on August 15 is looking for another date as Saaho is going to have a mammoth release in Tamilnadu.
Ajith’s film is a remake of Pink, which is not a regular commercial film and hence it is understandable for its makers to avoid clash with a film of Saaho’s magnitude.
A couple of other Tamil biggies were also pushed from Aug 15th to avoid clash with Saaho.
There is buzz about Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal also to be taken out of August 15th slot, but it is still aiming for Independence Day release according to its makers.
US Tells India It Is Considering Caps On H-1B Visas
NEW DELHI: The United States has told India it is considering caps on H-1B work visas for nations that force foreign companies to store data locally, three sources with knowledge of the matter told Reuters, widening the two countries’ row over tariffs and trade.
The plan to restrict the popular H-1B visa programme, under which skilled foreign workers are brought to the United States each year, comes days ahead of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit to New Delhi.
India, which has upset firms such as Mastercard and irked the US government with stringent new rules on data storage, is the largest recipient of these temporary visas, most of them to workers at big Indian technology firms.
The warning comes as trade tensions between the United States and India have resulted in tit-for-tat tariff actions in recent weeks. From Sunday, India imposed higher tariffs on some US goods, days after Washington withdrew a key trade privilege for New Delhi.
Two senior Indian government officials said on Wednesday they were briefed last week on a US government plan to cap H-1B visas issued each year to Indians at between 10% and 15% of the annual quota.
There is no current country-specific limit on the 85,000 H-1B work visas granted each year and an estimated 70% go to Indians.
Both officials said they were told the plan was linked to the global push for “data localisation”, in which a country places restrictions on data as a way to gain better control over it and potentially curb the power of international companies. US firms have lobbied hard against data localisation rules around the world.
A Washington-based industry source aware of India-US negotiations also said the United States was deliberating capping the number of H-1B visas in response to global data storage rules. The move, however, was not solely targeted at India, the source said.
“The proposal is that any country that does data localisation, then it (H-1B visas) would be limited to about 15% of the quota. It’s being discussed internally in the U.S. government,” the person said.
The US Embassy in New Delhi did not respond to a request for comment. A spokeswoman for the US Trade Representative’s office (USTR) referred questions to the State Department, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Most-affected by any such caps would be India’s more than $150 billion IT sector, led by Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys Ltd, which uses H-1B visas to fly engineers and developers to service clients in the United States, their biggest market.
The Ministry of External Affairs has sought an “urgent response” from officials on how such a move by the United States could affect India, said one of the two government officials, who declined to be named due to the sensitivity of the matter.
The Ministry of External Affairs, as well as the commerce department that is typically involved in such discussions, did not respond to an e-mail seeking comment.
Since last year, the US administration has been upset that US firms such as Mastercard and Visa suffer due to regulations in several countries that it says are protectionist and increasingly require companies to store more data locally.
India last year mandated foreign firms to store their payments data “only in India” for supervision, and New Delhi is working on a broad data protection law that would impose strict rules for local processing of data it considers sensitive.
While governments the world over have been announcing stricter data storage rules to better access data in their jurisdictions, critics say restricting cross-border data flows hurts innovation and raises companies’ costs.
In March the USTR, in a press note, highlighted “key barriers to digital trade”, citing data-flow restrictions in India, China, Indonesia and Vietnam, among others.
At a US-India Business Council event last week, Pompeo said the US administration would push for free flow of data across borders, not just to help US companies, but also to secure consumers’ privacy.
KCR decides to fight it out with Modi
The aggressive statements made by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government at the Centre clearly showed that he is a confrontationist attitude with the Centre.
KCR reportedly discussed the latest political developments in the state with his cabinet colleagues on Tuesday.
He told them that the BJP was likely to pose a threat to the TRS in the coming days and Modi was deliberately ignoring him only with a view to suppress the TRS.
He is understood to have said the BJP was overestimating its strength in Telangana, following its victory in four seats in Lok Sabha elections.
What hurt him more was the defeat of his daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha in the hands of BJP candidate Dharmapuri Aravind, son of TRS MP D Srinivas who happens to be keeping away from the TRS for about a year.
That is why he gave went to his frustration at Modi saying he had called the Prime Minister a “fascist’ and he stood by what he said.
He defended his decision not to invite Modi to the inauguration of Kaleshwaram project on June 21, stating that there was no need to call the Prime Minister for every function.
He also castigated the BJP government for not helping the state in any manner, whether it is releasing of funds to Kaleshwaram or other projects – Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya.
KCR skipped PM Narendra Modi’s swearing in on May 30 and also the NITI Aayog meeting chaired by PM last week.
He also did not want to see Modi’s face at the all-party meeting being held in New Delhi on Wednesday on one-nation-one-poll concept.
He even said he would try to resolve all the disputes with the neighbouring states without involving the Centre or tribunals.
Sexy Heroine Back In Demand
Mehreen Pirzada used to be a busy bee in South Cinema before a string of flops took a toll on her.
She lost many opportunities while she had a lull in her career, but she has bounced back big time with F2 – Fun and Frustration.
She scored the biggest hit of her career with F2 in which she played the character of Honey that became popular with the mannerism dialogue ‘Honey is the best’.
Mehreen is back in the reckoning now with a handful of offers coming her way.
She has been signed up as the female lead in one of Naga Shaurya’s upcoming films and also got an offer to romance Kalyan Ram in his next.
Mehreen is also making debut in Punjabi Cinema soon. She has got a biggie in Tamil Cinema recently.
The F2 actress will be romancing star hero Dhanush in a film directed by Durai Senthil Kumar. Mehreen has slimmed down a lot lately and looking sexier than ever.
It is another reason for the actress’s sudden rise in demand.
Can Priyadarshi Prove His Mettle?
Comedian Priyadarshi has done a film as lead actor. “Mallesham” is his first film as lead hero.
This is not typical commercial movie; it is more of an art film about Padmashree Chintakindi Mallesham who invented a machine for one part of weaving. This is biopic.
The film has already generated good buzz thanks to KTR and social media. But its box-office fate would decide Priyadarshi’s fate.
If it succeeds in bringing good openings, the comedian turned lead actor would be considered for similar movies set in the backdrop of Telangana. Or he would have to continue doing comedy roles.
Priyadarshi shot to fame with his comic role in “Pelli Choopulu” and since then he has regular feature in all major movies. He also did Mahesh Babu’s friend’s role in “Spyder”.
Late Lateef Rajasekhar Finishes Kalki Fast
Rajasekhar has this image of Late Lateef. He never comes to the sets on time. If the shoot has to begin at 7 am, he would normally appear on the sets post-lunch.
This had been his routine style for a long time. However, he is now a changed man.
For “Kalki”, he changed his late Lateef ways. Reason? It is said that director Prasanth Varma began shooting sequences with dupe whenever Rajasekhar had come to the sets late.
Worried Rajasekhar then started presenting himself at right time. This is how Prasanth Varma changed the angry star and finished the film on time.
“Kalki” is releasing this month end. The film has wrapped up its shoot already. Interestingly, it is Rajasekhar’s home production.

Is KCR losing human touch in his second term?
TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao is facing criticism from various quarters of losing human touch in his second term in office.
Critics say there is a marked difference between KCR in his first term and his present second term as CM
This criticism increased after looking at his recent cabinet decisions.
While everyone expected KCR to address various issues concerning poor and common people in Telangana in his first cabinet meeting after Lok Sabha polls and especially after AP CM YS Jagan showering sops on all sections, KCR proved all of them wrong.
The decisions taken by KCR’s cabinet include giving 2 acres of land to Visakha Sarada Peetham worth Rs 2 crore for just Rs 25 lakh, 5 acres of land to film director N Shankar to set up a film studio, allotment of land to set up TRS offices in all 33 districts at the rate of just Rs 100 per sq.yard.
None of these decisions pertain to welfare or benefit of common people.
KCR ignored crop loan waiver scheme, which he promised during 2018 Assembly polls, which is eagerly awaited by nearly 58 lakh farmers.
He also ignored new PRC and IR for 3.5 lakh government employees and pensioners.
There is no mention about 2BHK houses for poor but he approved construction of new Secretariat at a cost of Rs 400 crore and new Assembly at a cost of Rs 100 crore despite the existing Secretariat and Assembly are in good condition.
He even inaugurated 3BHK apartments for all MLAs in Hyderabad as if MLAs are homeless and cannot afford to construct their own houses/ flats.
Oh Baby Trailer: Oh Samantha, Just Wow!
Samantha is in her zone now. She is one of the finest actresses of this era and is finally getting her due. Oh Baby seems to be the best of Samantha yet.
She is simply superb in the trailer that gives a lot of insights into the plot and screenplay.
Oh Baby is a remake of Korean comedy Miss Granny, but director Nandini Reddy has made it ‘Telugu friendly’ without missing the soul.
The supporting cast is on the money too. Everyone seems to have did their bit, but Oh Baby is all about Samantha.
Baby is funny, bold and also emotional. It looks like a character that any actress would dream of. Everyone that watches the trailer will look forward to seeing it.
Let’s wish the film would be as fun as its trailer. Oh Baby is hitting the theaters on July 5.
