Last week, Sudheer had posted a video on his Twitter page wherein he is seen practicing kicks with a punching bag, most likely in preparation for this film.
I am always under pressure: Russell tells wife
Kolkata: Andre Russell, who came out with yet another match-winning performance as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) fixture, said he is always under pressure as he wants his fans to enjoy and be happy.
Russell’s 40-ball 80 helped KKR sign off their home run at the Eden Gardens on a winning note as they defeated old nemesis MI by 34 runs on Sunday.
During the course of his innings, Russell smashed eight sixes and six boundaries to help his side break snap a six-match losing streak and take their points tally to 10 points from 12 matches.
In a candid chat with his wife Jassym for IPLT20.com, Russell, who also turned 31 on Sunday, said he always feels pressure before he walks out to bat as his ultimate aim is to impress his wife and also make sure the KKR fans return home happy.
“It was a special night for me as well. It’s my birthday. I always feel pressure because I want to make sure the fans are happy and I want to impress my beautiful wife (with) every match,” Russell told Jassym.
Asked about his emotions about playing their last match at home this season, the West Indian said: “It’s an emotional feeling. It was the last game of the season in Kolkata. We knew that we had to leave the fans who have been giving us great support over the last six days with a bang. We surely did, won by 34 runs.”
Russell has so far hit 50 sixes in IPL 2019. When he asked about his wife how she felt about the knock, Jassym said she always knew that Russell was going to perform.
“It felt good. I knew you were going to do that because today is the last match in this ground (Eden Gardens). I expected that from you. I really had my heart in my hands when you were hitting those big sixes,” Jassym said.
With the win, KKR have kept their playoff chances alive. They need to win the remaining two fixtures in order to finish in the top four. They, however, would also hope for favourable results from other matches to make it to the playoffs.
Protest intensifies in Telangana over exam goof-up
Hyderabad: Telangana Police arrested scores of opposition leaders and workers across the state as the protests over the massive bungling in Intermediate examination results intensified on Monday.
Police placed several top leaders under house arrest and took many others into custody as they were heading to Hyderabad for participating in ‘Maha Dharna’ called by the opposition parties over the goof-up, which allegedly led to suicide of at least 21 students over the last 10 days.
Tension prevailed at the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) office here as scores of protesters from the opposition parties and student organisations tried to stage a sit-in, demanding resignation of Education Minister Jagdish Reddy and compensation to the families of the students who committed suicide.
Police, which erected barricades and deployed additional force around BIE office, stopped leaders and activists of Congress, Communist Party of India (CPI), Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and student groups like NSUI, PDSU, AISF and TVV, bundled them into waiting vehicles and shifted them to different police stations.
Senior Congress leader Geeta Reddy, TJS President M. Kodandaram, TDP state chief L. Ramana and senior leader R. Chandrashekhar Reddy were among those arrested by the police.
Police also arrested ABVP activists as they tried to stage protest at Pragati Bhavan, the official residence of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao in Begumpet. Holding ABVP flags and raising anti-government slogans, they tried to barge into the building but were arrested by police. A couple of protesters fell unconscious when they were being physically removed and shifted to police vehicles.
Congress leaders Anjan Kumar Yadav, V. Hanumantha Rao, Srisalilam Goud were kept under house arrest in Hyderabad.
Opposition leaders in the districts were either arrested or kept under house arrest to prevent them from heading to Hyderabad.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also intensified its protest with its state chief K. Laxman on Monday beginning indefinite fast at state BJP office here.
Senior leaders Bandaru Dattatreya, BJP national General Secretary Muralidhar Rao and others expressed solidarity with Laxman. They demanded resignation of the Education Minister and action against those responsible for the bungling in Intermediate results.
Meanwhile, a girl student who had set herself afire three days ago over failure in the examination, succumbed at a hospital in Karimnagar. With this, the number of students who committed suicide since the announcement of results on April 18 rose to 21.
In another development, the case came up for hearing in Telangana High Court on Monday. The state government informed the court that it ordered free re-verification of answer sheets of all students who failed to get pass marks. The court was told that the entire process will be completed by May 8.
The court directed the BIE to submit the details like the number of students who passed the exams after re-verification. Voicing concern over the suicide by students, the court also sought details of the answer scripts of these students.
A total of 9.74 lakh students had appeared in Intermediate First and Second Year (11th and 12th standard) exams held in February-March. Out of them, 3.28 lakh students failed to obtain the pass marks.
Blunders in valuation and processing of the results by authorities sent panic among students and parents. Students who passed with distinction in First Year were given marks in single digit in the Second Year. The mark sheet of some students who wrote the exams reported them absent.
A three-member committee formed by the government to look into the goof-up revealed errors both by BIE and Globarena Technologies, an IT company whose services were hired.
BIE late on Sunday announced that it has imposed a fine on a teacher and suspended another for giving zero marks instead of ’99’ to a student in one of the subjects. The opposition parties, however, demanded action against the higher-ups in the Board and the IT company.

First look of Mega granddaughter

As we already know, Megastar Chiranjeevi has once again become a grandfather on 25th December, last year. His younger daughter Sreeja delivered a beautiful baby girl and this is her second child. Sreeja tied the knot with Kalyaan Dhev on 28th March 2016 and Kalyaan was seen doing a debut film Vijetha, which has failed to reach people’s expectations.
It’s been four long months that Sreeja delivered this cutie pie, however, the couple has decided to introduce her to the world only yesterday. Kalyaan took to his Instagram to share the first look of their adorable daughter. He captioned the picture, “Now I believe in love at first sight because I’ve loved you from the moment you were born # Navishka. Happy 4 Months to you!PC : @mommyshotsbyamrita @sreeja_kalyan #4MonthsOld#SreejaKalyanBaby”. The picture looks aww-dorable as Navishka looked cute in those muffin cheeks and cute outfit.

YCP’s Confidence Coming Down?
May 23, the D-day, is still long from now but the enthusiasm levels in YCP is gradually coming down. While YCP was extremely confident of its victory soon after the conclusion of polls on 11th April, that quotient of confidence is missing in its cadre today.
Even the punters who were initially in favour of Jagan are slowly changing their options with various analysis coming out. With Naidu conducting constituency-wise analysis and taking feedback from his party’s candidates, slowly the mood among the betters is changing. Seeing TDP’s confidence, even YCP is on back foot on its winning chances. TDP is totally relying on Pasupu Kumkuma scheme beneficiaries and pension beneficiaries to sail it to victory whereas Jagan hopes on anti-incumbency and negative on TDP’s MLA candidates.
This is said to be causing new worry among Jagan’s fans, followers. While it’s a now or never situation for Jagan, it’s equally crucial for Naidu to cement the position of his son Lokesh as his successor.
Having said these, still, it’s not easy for TDP. And the prediction for AP is still tough given that it’s a neck-and-neck between the ruling and opposition parties. So, one has to wait till May 23 to see who is right and who is wrong in guessing the public mood.
