Bhuvaneswari, Naidu Condemn YSRCP Leader’s Remarks
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s wife, Nara Bhuvaneswari, strongly condemned the alleged derogatory remarks made by YSR Congress Party leader and former MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy against Telugu Desam Party MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy.
Taking to social media platform ‘X’, Bhuvaneswari expressed her solidarity with Prashanthi Reddy, who represents the Kovvur constituency, stating,
“I stand in solidarity with Kovvur MLA Smt. Prashanthi Reddy Garu and firmly condemn the derogatory remarks made against her. Such statements reflect a deeply troubling, anti-women mindset within certain institutions and have no place in our society.”
She further added,
“Women lead with strength, integrity, and merit. Derogatory words cannot diminish our worth or break our spirit. Our culture upholds respect for women, and any attempt to undermine that must be rejected. Today and always, we stand united against this mindset and in strong support of every woman’s dignity.”
BJP MP and Bhuvaneswari’s sister, Daggubati Purandeswari, also criticized Prasanna Kumar Reddy’s comments. She expressed disappointment that a leader elected six times as MLA could make such “inappropriate” statements, demonstrating a disregard for women’s dignity.
She demanded an unconditional public apology from Prasanna Kumar Reddy and added,
“If his wife or mother accepts these comments, only then will I consider withdrawing my statement.”

“There is no change in the behavior of YSRCP leaders. Insulting women, using abusive language, and belittling them seems to be the political ideology of that party.”
He further said that humiliating women and indulging in character assassination appears to be deeply ingrained in the YSRCP’s mindset.
“Even after their crushing defeat in the recent elections, their nature hasn’t changed. Are these people even human? Is this what politics has become?” Naidu questioned, urging the public to recognize what he described as a systematic conspiracy by the YSRCP to erode women’s dignity.
