The trailer of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, has created massive excitement online since its release. The video has already crossed more than 15 million views, generating strong buzz across digital platforms.
From the trailer, it is evident that the film heavily revolves around Pawan Kalyan’s character. Though he plays a police officer, the visuals highlight him handling multiple elements — action, comedy, punch dialogues, and romance — indicating a full-fledged mass entertainer.
Director Harish Shankar appears to have followed a formula similar to his earlier blockbuster Gabbar Singh. In that film too, Pawan Kalyan portrayed a police officer, and the mix of humour, memorable dialogues, and romantic moments played a key role in making it a huge success.
Scenes like the famous Antyakshari sequence in the police station, along with songs and the romantic track with Shruti Haasan, added strong entertainment value to Gabbar Singh and helped it become a cult blockbuster.
Interestingly, it took more than a decade for Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar to reunite after Gabbar Singh. The trailer of Ustaad Bhagat Singh suggests that the director has chosen to stick to a familiar and proven formula rather than experimenting with something drastically new.
The focus seems to be on delivering a fan-oriented entertainer built around the hero’s powerful characterization. One dialogue in the trailer even mentions that every time Pawan Kalyan makes a comeback, magic happens.
Megastar Chiranjeevi also praised the trailer on social media, stating that the “magic has worked.” However, the big question remains whether the same Gabbar Singh magic will repeat itself once Ustaad Bhagat Singh arrives in theatres.

Funky OTT Release Triggers Fresh Trolling for Naga Vamsi
The film Funky, starring Vishwak Sen and directed by Anudeep K. V., has become one of the most heavily trolled releases of the year.
Produced by Naga Vamsi, the movie had a disappointing run in theatres. Despite the poor theatrical performance, there was some expectation that the film might find a better reception after its OTT release, as certain movies tend to work better with home audiences.
However, the response after its streaming debut has been even more negative. The film premiered on Netflix this weekend, and social media reactions have triggered fresh trolling and criticism.
Interestingly, the backlash is not largely aimed at director Anudeep or lead actor Vishwak Sen. Instead, many netizens are directing their criticism toward producer Naga Vamsi.
One of the reasons appears to be Vamsi’s recent visibility in media interviews and his outspoken comments. In one such interview, he reportedly stated that Funky would entertain audiences even though it does not have a strong story. That remark is now being widely circulated and mocked online.
Some social media users have even warned that if he continues producing similar films, he might face a situation similar to producers like M. S. Raju and Dil Raju. While M. S. Raju once dominated the Telugu film industry before losing prominence, Dil Raju’s banner value is also believed by some critics to have declined in recent years.
