Jersey Folks Waiting Eagerly For Majili
At a time when films of similar content are coming, then there will be a little tension not for one of them, but for all of them. Cut straight to point, we have both Majili and Jersey dealing with the cricket angle, and as today Majili is hitting cinemas, surely that will be keeping even Nani starrer on tenterhooks.
Featuring Naga Chaitanya in the role of a cricketer who loses his form and then ends up getting married, we have Majili carved by Siva Nirvana. And then Nani’s Jersey that is hitting cinemas later this month also revolves around cricket. While Nani’s film deals with life inside cricket, Chay’s film is all about life after cricket and a wife.
But films that revolved cricket including Sumanth’s Golconda High School and Raj Tarun’s Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu haven’t done well at the box office. That naturally puts some pressure on Majili and Jersey will be eagerly looking forward to how this cricket drama will be faring at the box office.
At the same time, there are various other factors that affect the good run of a movie and thereby the end result. Hope all goes well.
Affair With This Hero Turns Bad For Heroines
This particular hero always claims that he is single and ready to mingle, but industry talk is that he always mingles with someone and never stays single. And the sentiment is that, whoever mingles with this guy get lost.
Early in his career, he was with a dusky siren and she is a powerhouse performer with loads of talent. But that didn’t work out for her as many felt that casting her would invite unwanted pressures from this hero. And then, she’s out of the industry without any trace.
Later another heroine’s name popped up big time, but she too didn’t make it to the top. They say that having an affair with this guy is the unfortunate thing they will do. However, a talented cute girl from a neighborhood tinsel town has also fallen flat for this guy. And now, the situation looks like she too has to pack bags.
While the ‘sentiment’ of mingling with this hero is being seen as a big thing, the other side is that all those heroines have failed to identify right subjects and that led them to their own failure.
Inside Talk: Nagarjuna Turned Emotional
Yesterday, it was Majili mood for Akkineni family with all special shows. Early in the morning, Sushanth watched the film and then Nagarjuna watched it late in the evening.
After watching the film at a special preview, we hear that Akkineni Nagarjuna felt very emotional. An onlooker revealed that Nagarjuna turned a bit into tears with the second half of the film where the topic is all about taking a divorce. While the husband tries to grow distance with wife, the wife fights back to win her husband’s love, and Nag is said to have got touched with it.
As this news got leaked, Nagarjuna tweeted at midnight, “Brilliant performances by Chay and Samantha in #Majili. So proud of them!! Rao Ramesh and posani. All the best team majili!!!”. Looks like Nagarjuna is quite happy with the way both Chay and Sam emerged as actors over years of time.
Meanwhile, an inside talk is that the second half of the film is a tad bit slow and Nagarjuna is waiting to see how audiences will receive it.
Saaho All Set For A Mega Showdown In Japan
UV Creations along with T-Series is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Baahubali hero’s next is going to be bigger than that. Yes, we are talking about Prabhas’ Saaho which is going to hit screens this Independence Day.
Reportedly Prabhas’ producers are making sure that the film will get a maximized released in the whole of India as the film will release in almost four languages. At the same time, there is a plan for Japan audiences as well, as Prabhas amassed a huge following there with the release of Baahubali.
Recently UV Creations is said to have sold the rights of Saaho to leading Japanese distributors for a hefty price. However, the film will not be hitting cinemas along with the Telugu version but will release only after three weeks of the India release. And then, Prabhas is likely to attend a promotional event in Tokyo too.
Featuring Prabhas and Shraddha Das in the leads, Saaho is directed by Sujith of Run Raja Fame who has waited for almost six years for Prabhas’ dates. And the film is going to be an epic Hollywood like a treat if the making videos are anything to go by.
Amala Paul Takes Up New Job!
Actress Amala Paul has taken up a new job. She will be turning into a producer. She is producing a Tamil film Cadaver and the film is based on true incidents. Interestingly, Amala is playing a significant role in the film. She essays the role of a forensic pathologist, Dr. Bhadra. She deals with a complicated case.
Cadaver means a dead human body used by medical students for research purpose. It is buzzed that the movie revolves around real-life case handled by former Kerala police surgeon Dr. B Umadathan. The film’s shoot is expected to begin soon and the team will shoot in mortuaries and hospitals.
“I had thought a lot whether to invest so much on a debutant director. But finally, I budged. Since the film’s script is so impressive, I’ve decided to co-produce the film,” said Amala. Amala said she has spent a decade as an artiste where she experimented with various commercial roles. She said she has finally got clarity on the roles that she has to do now which would elevate her as an actor.
Money begins to flow in AP elections!
With just five days left for the closure of campaigning in the general elections, it is time for the flow of money among the voters in a big way.
While indulging in large scale distribution of cash in a big way, the political parties are also trying to check similar money distribution by their rivals.
The contestants adopt ingenious ways to distribute money among voters – through online transactions, direct disbursement of cash along with pamphlets and even bearing the expenditure of voters for purchase of provisions and other goods.
Money is entering Andhra Pradesh through hawala methods from abroad and also in trains and buses.
While the police generally check private vehicles at several points, they do not focus on transfer of money in trains and buses.
On Wednesday, the Hyderabad police caught two persons carrying Rs 2 crore cash in two bags, just before they boarded a train to Rajahmundry.
On interrogation, it was revealed that the two persons were diverting the cash from Jayabheri real estate venture in train to Rajahmundry.
The money is said to be meant for distribution among voters for seeking their votes Telugu Desam Party candidate Maganti Rupa, daughter in law of outgoing MP and senior actor Maganti Murali Mohan.
The Jayabheri Group belongs to Murali Mohan. Obviously, the police booked a case against him.

TDP MP Murali Mohan booked for bribing voters
Hyderabad: The Madhapur police has booked AP Telugu Desam MP M. Murali Mohan and five others on charges of bribery and trying to influence voters during the elections.
The case was registered following the seizure of Rs 2 crore on Wednesday night, said Cyberabad commissioner V.C. Sajjanar on Thursday.
The two persons from whose possession the cash was seized reportedly confessed that the money was supposed to be handed over to Mr Murali Mohan at Rajahmundry, said police.
A team from Madhapur police station and the Special Operations Team that was checking vehicles at Hitec City apprehended two employees of Jayabheri Properties Private Limited of Mr Murali Mohan — Nimmaluri Sri Hari, 44, of Nizampet and native of Krishna district, and Avuti Pandari, 39, a native of Medak district and resident of Lingampally.
They were in possession of two bags containing Rs 2 crore in denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 2,000. The Rs 500 notes amounted to Rs 96 lakh and Rs 2,000 notes totalled Rs 1.04 crore, said the commissioner.
“The two confessed that the cash was handed over to them by Dharma Raju and Jagan Mohan Rao, employees of Jayabheri Properties. They were directed to take the cash to Rajahmundry in a train from Secunderabad on April 1,” he said.
Releasing Today: Can Chaitanya Break His Flop Streak?
Naga Chaitanya will hope to end his dry spell at the box-office with Majili, the romantic drama in which he has paired up with his wife Samantha.
Chaitanya has been struggling to find success post Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam. He tried his hand at action and masala genres that are not his forte.
Chay is back to his comfort zone with Majili. All of Chaitanya’s hits were romantic dramas and Majili is helmed by Siva Nirvana who made an impressive debut with Ninnu Kori.
Although Majili is a romantic drama, Chay plays an interesting character that appears different from his previous movies.
He will be seen as a struggling man who couldn’t get over his past and couldn’t settle in life. He depends on his wife’s income to survive. Majili’s promos have been impressive and have set high expectations on the film.

Maharshi Team Continuing 9.09 am Sentiment
The first look of Mahesh Babu’s “Maharshi” was released on August 9 last year on the occasion of the superstar’s birthday.
The first look and a video teaser of Mahesh Babu walking on the corridors of a college was released at 9.09 am muhurtham on that day.
The film’s first song “Choti Choti Baatein” was released recently and the muhurtham was fixed again at 9.09 am.
Interestingly, the film’s teaser will be released this Ugadi festival (April 6) and it will hit the Youtube at 9.09 am exactly.
Why is this peculiar time sentiment? Is it numerical sentiment as 9 is considered is lucky number?
“Maharshi” is Mahesh Babu’s 25th movie and it is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The film is also going to be released on 9th May.

Friday happens to be this Kannada beauty’s birthday and the makers have released the first look of Rashmika.

Naidu biggest opportunist in country: Amit Shah
Amaravati: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Thursday dubbed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu as the biggest opportunist in the entire country, saying he changes colours whenever it suits him.
Addressing a party rally at Narsaraopet in Guntur district, he said the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) joined hands with the BJP in 2014 as there was Modi wave in the country and came to power in the state.
The BJP chief alleged that last year, Naidu pulled out of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) as he sensed that there was an anti-incumbency wave in the state. He said Naidu tried to mislead the people by making baseless allegations against the NDA.
Predicting that the NDA will retain power at the Centre, Shah said this time the alliance would not open its doors for Naidu. “There are indications that he may again try to join NDA but now we have shut the doors for forever.”
The BJP leader alleged that Naidu’s political career is full of instances when he displayed opportunism. He recalled that Naidu had quit the Congress party in 1983 and joined the TDP founded by his father-in-law N.T. Rama Rao but later backstabbed him to grab the power.
Shah also pointed out that Naidu joined NDA in 1999 when there was Vajpayee wave but left the alliance when it lost power in 2004.
He said the TDP chief joined hands with the Congress in Telangana Assembly elections but as the alliance faced a crushing defeat, he dumped the Congress and refused to have alliance with it in Andhra Pradesh.
Shah alleged that Naidu indulged in corruption in construction of Polavaram project and development of new state capital Amaravati. He claimed that Naidu was not sincere to complete these projects.
He said both TDP and YSR Congress Party were family parties and involved in corruption.
