Rs.43 crore story behind Adala’s Exit!
In a rude shock to the Telugu Desam Party, speculation is rife that Nellore rural constituency candidate Adala Prabhakar Reddy who had suddenly gone missing in Andhra Pradesh will soon be joining YSR Congress Party. Soon after the Telugu Desam Party leadership announced him as the Nellore rural candidate for assembly elections, Adala began his campaign in the constituency yesterday.
Now, A media reports that Adala Prabhakar Reddy had sought the government for bills clearance worth Rs. 43 crore. On Friday afternoon, soon after he got a message on his mobile phone that the money got credited into his account, Adala abruptly halted his election campaign and told people that he got a call from Amaravati.
Surprisingly, he switched off his mobile phone and was not available to anyone. At the same time, Telugu Desam Party leaders were trying to reach out to him but he wasn’t reachable to anyone. Meanwhile, some flex boards in front of his house, portraying him as the TDP’s Nellore rural candidate also were removed while his office still hasn’t responded to any rumours.
According to inside reports, Adala left to Hyderabad after the money was credited into his account, to meet YSR Congress President Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy. Sources say that Adala was promised Nellore Lok Sabha seat from YSRCP and hence, will soon be joining the party. However, he did not quit TDP until the money got credited into his account. This attitude has shocked TDP leaders about how he waited for the money and then quit the party, to use it for his campaigning in the YSRCP, if he joins the party.

Cong fields defeated leaders in Telangana!
The Congress party which has not been able to find suitable candidates for contesting the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, had no option but to field those who had lost the previous elections.
According to the first list released by the party late in the night of Friday, as many as candidates for eight seats were finalised out of 17 Lok Sabha seats.
They are: A Revanth Reddy from Malkajgiri, Ponnam Prabhakar from Karimnagar, Ramesh Rathod from Adilabad, P Balram Naik from Mahabubabad, A Chandrasekhar from Peddapalli, Madan Mohan from Zaheerabad, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy from Chevella and Gali Anil Kumar from Medak.
Of them, Revanth, Ponnam, Balram Naik and Chandrasekhar contested the recent assembly elections and lost to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
In fact, Chandrasekhar Rao contested as Congress rebel from Vikarabad and was suspended for the same. Recently, he returned to the party after the suspension was revoked.
Of the remaining four, Ramesh Rathod and Madan Mohan lost the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, contesting on the Telugu Desam Party ticket. They later jumped into the TRS, but were denied the tickets.
The only sitting MP candidate is Vishweshwar Reddy, who won on the TRS ticket from Chevella in the last elections.
And Madan Mohan Rao was also a defector from the TRS, who desperately tried for the TRS ticket from Patancheru MLA ticket. Compared to others, he is a small leader, who earlier worked as a ZPTC of Jinnaram mandal in Medak district.
It may be mentioned that the Congress had earlier decided that no party leader who was defeated in the earlier elections would be given the party ticket for parliament elections.
“Now, the high command is requesting the senior leaders, who were defeated in the assembly elections, to contest the Lok Sabha elections, as there are no candidates suitable to fight the polls,” the party leader said.
Other defeated candidates who might be considered for the contest in MP elections are: Komatireddy Venkat Reddy from Nalgonda, D K Aruna from Mahbubnagar and Damodar Raja Narasimha or A Sampath Kumar from Nagarkurnool. Madhu Yashki Goud, who represented Nizamabad twice in the past, is likely to be shifted to Bhongir, because Nizamabad is a tough seat.
Other seniors like former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy, P Sudershan Reddy and Mohammad Shabbir Ali are not evincing any interest in contesting the Lok Sabha polls.

The incident led to tension in the village. Additional police forces were rushed to prevent further violence.

Butta to say bye-bye to TDP?
In a rapidly changing political scenario in Andhra Pradesh, there has been large scale of defection of leaders from one party to another.
Those who had left one party to join the other in the past, are staging a comeback to the same party after realizing that they have a bleak future there.
The classic example of this phenomenon is Kurnool MP Butta Renuka. She got elected on YSR Congress party ticket in 2014, but defected to the Telugu Desam Party within a couple of years after being lured by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in an attempt to demoralize the YSRC.
Now, Renuka is planning to stage a comeback to the YSRC, which has reportedly promised her the ticket for Kurnool LS seat. She is expected to meet YSRC president Y S Jagan in a day or two.
All these days, Renuka had been given the impression that she would be fielded from Kurnool in the Lok Sabha elections again.
Naidu had given her firm assurance to that effect. Not long ago, Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh during his Kurnool visit declared that Butta would be the TDP candidate for Kurnool LS seat again.
But her fate took a sudden twist with the entry of former Union minister Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy along with his wife and ex-MLA Kotla Sujatha and son Raghavendra Reddy into the TDP.
Sujathamma has been given from Aluru assembly constituency and Kotla is most likely to get the party ticket from Kurnool.
This has shocked Renuka, who wanted to know her fate. Apparently, the TDP leadership has offered party ticket for Adoni assembly constituency, but she flatly refused. Naidu, who does not want to lose her at any cost, even promised to make her Rajya Sabha member.
Yet, Renuka was not convinced. She reportedly contacted YSRC leadership and got an assurance for Kurnool MP ticket.

Tamannaah Bhatia signs Tamil, Telugu films
Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has signed up for two new projects. One is a Telugu film, and one in Tamil.
She will be the lead protagonist in the third instalment of Telugu hit franchise “Raju Gari Gadhi”, to be directed by Omkar. The film is expected to go on floors in June 2019.
The first instalment of the horror comedy was released in 2015 with Ashwin Babu and Dhanya Balakrishna playing the lead.
Following its success at the box office, the director went on to wield the megaphone for the 2017 movie “Raju Gari Gadhi 2”, starring Nagarjuna Akkineni and Samantha Akkineni.
On her role, Tamannaah said in a statement: “This is a female-centric role and something that has been on my creative wish list for 2019. The narrative really excited me as I’m shuttling between two different eras and hence portraying two different personas. There is a lot of layering and it will be interesting to navigate between time zones.”
On the Tamil movie front, she has been roped in to play the principal antagonist in yet another film opposite Vishal. It is being directed by a debutant director.
Tamannaah and Vishal will be teaming up for the third time after “Kaththi Sandai” apart from currently shooting together for Sundar C’s yet untitled action-based film.
The actress said she is playing a character with a grey shade in the new film.
“It is quite challenging as my role demands not just physical strength but also a lot of mental forte. There is a lot of mastery required in mind games, even when you’re playing it on-screen and that’s something that doesn’t come very easy to me. In reality I’m quite the opposite, easy going and authentic, so getting into this character will be quite intimidating to be honest.”
