Buzz: Politics Worrying #ChaySam

Share

Queen bee Samantha Akkineni is stunning netizens with her spiciest looks all the time as she fills up her social media feed with loads of glamour. And then, her husband Naga Chaitanya is quite busy okaying film after film and wrapping them at a brisk pace. And, both are waiting for “Majili” to hit cinemas.

At the moment, one of the romantic film being awaited by fans and audiences alike is none other than Majili, which is set for April 5th release. However, currently, this star heroine and hero are said to be in discussions with their producers and distributors for a change in release date. Because they don’t want “Majili” to get struck between politics of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana as April 11th is the date these states are going to vote.

Though expected that the election schedule will be put up, we hear that Samantha is a bit worried that political parties and their ads might eat up the hype around Majili. Also with just five days before the election, even the mood of audiences will be inclined towards voting only.

Some distributors and trade circles are however saying that there will be no such impact of elections on movies. They feel that already youths will be enjoying their summer holidays in April and that will be a huge advantage no matter whether elections or IPL comes into the scene. Let’s see what #ChaySam do!

Balayya adamant on TDP ticket to Bharat

Share

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is under tremendous pressure these days. Not because, he is facing difficulty in selection of candidates for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the state.

But, the pressure is from within the family. His brother-in-law, senior actor and TDP MLA from Hindupur Nandamuri Balakrishna has been sitting on his head to give the party ticket to his second son-law M Sri Bharat from a suitable assembly or Lok Sabha constituency.

This has landed Naidu in a dilemma – as there are already three persons in his family in the party politics– he, his son Nara Lokesh and Balakrishna. So, if Bharat comes into the scene, it will be the fourth person from the family to come into politics.

Moreover, Lokesh is also the elder son-in-law of Balakrishna and so, if Bharat has to be given the party ticket, it will lead to a negative talk that Balakrishna and his two sons-in-law are dominating the party politics.

This will lead to further disgruntlement in the family, as other descendants of NTR like Junior NTR feel sidelined.

But Bharat also has a strong political background. He is grandson of senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former Visakhapatnam MP and founder of Gitam Group of Institutions M V V S Murthy, who died in an accident in the US a few months ago. He is married to Balakrishna’s younger daughter Tejaswini in 2013.

When Bharat is lobbying for the party ticket for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency, which the young leader has been nurturing for the last few days, Naidu asked him to wait for the next term and gain enough political experience in the meanwhile.

But Bharat said he would lag behind his other contemporaries as all parties are encouraging youngsters.

Simultaneously, he started bringing pressure on Naidu through his father-in-law. Now, Balakrishna is insisting that Bharat should be given party ticket from Vizag LS seat. But since Lokesh is likely to be fielded from Visakhapatnam north, Naidu cannot field Bharat for the LS seat.

Moreover, Visakhapatnam is a very high-profile constituency and Naidu cannot take risk by fielding a political novice like Bharat.

So, that has become a headache for Naidu. Latest report is that he is now contemplating fielding Bharat from Rajahmundry LS seat. It is not clear whether Bharat would agree for it or not.

Official : Nara Lokesh To Contest From Mangalagiri

Share

It is all official. IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh is going to be in fray in the general elections 2019. Lokesh will be contesting for Mangalagiri Assembly constituency. Telugu Desam Party has decided to field Lokesh from Mangalagiri.

Although the names of Bheemili, Vizag North Assembly constituencies were considered, finally TDP chief Chandrababu has finalized Mangalagiri as the constituency for Lokesh.

Currently, YSRCP’s Alla Rama Krishna Reddy is representing the constituency. He had defeated TDP’s Ganji Chiranjeevi by meager 12 votes in 2014 general elections. Mangalagiri constituency had witnessed the dominance of Congress prior to 2014. Last time, TDP’s candidate (Koteswara Rao) won from Mangalagiri was in 1985.

With this, the fight for Mangalagiri turned interesting. As the constituency falls under Capital Region, it has to be seen whether Lokesh’s electoral debut will be a big success or not. It can be noted that Lokesh who didn’t fight 2014 elections was nominated as MLC and subsequently inducted into Chandrababu’s cabinet.

WANTED! Candidates For Janasena

Share

Ever since Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan announced that he will not act in films anymore and will take up politics as a full-time vocation, the party has been reflecting a message that they will contest from all the Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh. Over the last few months as part of the poll preparations, Pawan Kalyan has been touring various districts across the state to ensure that people vote for them.

On the other hand, Jana Sena had also been preparing to identify the right candidates for each constituency in the state. A team of 1200 members, according to sources, was assigned the task of identifying candidates. As a result the party announced its first list of candidates on Monday by declaring the names of 32 candidates for Assembly and 9 Parliamentary constituencies. Pawan Kalyan, informed people about this news through Twitter that it was the Party’s General Body that took the decision.

Meanwhile, Jana Sena, which will be partnering with Left Parties, is expected to announce seat-sharing tomorrow. According to sources, the Left Parties will be contesting 26 Assembly seats out of 175 and four LS seats out of 25, while remaining will be contested by the JSP. However, the biggest dilemma now doing rounds within Jana Sena Party is whether the party has potential candidates who can contest from all assembly seats as declared by their party president.

Some sections in the political circles are rife with rumours that Jana Sena does not have so many candidates that it can field them from all the 175 constituencies. Apparently, this news has even confused the cadre and are expecting clarity after tomorrow’s meeting with the Left Parties. The big question now for Jana Sena is, will they or won’t they contest from all the assembly constituencies in AP?

Son Out, Dad To Contest on YCP Ticket

Purandheswari and Daggubati Venkateswara Rao’s son Hitesh Chenchuram, who is aspiring for Parchur Assembly ticket from YSRCP, is almost out of the race now. The reason being Hitesh is an American citizen and anyone who wants to contest elections in India, should be a citizen of this country first as per the constitution. Accordingly Hitesh is said to have applied for cancellation of his citizenship. But the process got delayed and so Hitesh backed out.

Since election schedule is out and AP is going for elections in the first phase i.e 11th April, there’s very little time for the mainstream parties to finalize their candidates. In this backdrop, Jagan don’t want to take any risk and hence asked Daggubati Venkateswara Rao to be in fray from Parchur as per the initial understanding. Accepting Jagan’s offer, Daggubati is now getting ready to contest for Assembly which has now made AP politics very interesting.

If Daggubati Venkateswara Rao gets elected to Assembly, both Chandrababu and Daggubati would lock horns in Assembly no matter who sits in government and who sits in opposition.

Bad Muhurat – Jagan Postpones Candidates Announcement

Share

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was supposed to announce the first list of candidates of YCP today, has changed his mind. He has postponed the announcement of the first list of candidates owing to some party leaders’ advise. Going into details, originally, Jagan had scheduled to release the first list of candidates today morning. However, he got busy with the joining of candidates into the party. Thota family and PVP have met YS Jagan today and formally joined into the party at good muhurat. Meantime, Jagan missed today’s auspicious Muhurat.

While Jagan wanted to go ahead and announce the first list today, a few party leaders reportedly advised him not to announce today as Muhurat is over. As per the fresh muhurat, Jagan will be announcing the first list of candidates on 16th March, Saturday i.e Dashami and 10.26 AM is finalized as the auspicious muhurat and expected to be a “winning” muhurat.

Meanwhile, Jagan may also add a few more names in the first list of candidates. The delay in the announcement of candidates is raising suspense further. YCP MLA ticket aspirants are keeping their fingers crossed. On the other hand, TDP is planning to announce its first list of candidates tomorrow i.e 14th March (Ashtami). And Pawan Kalyan may announce his party’s candidates today 13th March (Sapthami).

Looks like, Jagan will have some advantage as aspirants who missed chance in TDP’s list could join YCP and may contest from YCP.

Chandrababu is nearing 70, he needs rest: Naga Babu

Share

Mocking TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, Mega brother Naga Babu said the Andhra Pradesh CM is nearing 70 years and he needs rest. In the latest video, it starts off Naga Babu in a upset mood. The man holding the camera asks why he is upset.

“While people who are of 60 are gracefully retiring and taking rest at home, Chandrababu is tirelessly working and there is no rest for him. He is nearing 70 and is still working. There are slogans ‘Malli Babu Raavali… Malli Babu Raavali…” and forcing him to continue his work. Everyone has their own space and with such slogans, what they are trying? Doesn’t he needs rest? For the past forty years Chandrababu is in politics and working 24×7. I still wonder how long he will work!,” said Naga Babu.

Adding the mega brother said, “Naidu has a grandson, Devaansh and every grandfather will wish to play with their grandson. But Chandrababu is losing patience working round the clock. The other Nara Lokesh also said the same and as son, I can understand his feelings. This time we will make sure to give Chandrababu Naidu rest at any cost.” By saying so Naga Babu indirectly appealed to the people of Andhra, not to vote for TDP in the elections.

Bunny-Trivikram Film: ‘Nanna..Nenu’?

Share

During the pre-release event of S/o Satyamurthy movie couple of years ago, director Trivikram told that somehow our mythologies and scriptures have told very less about the virtue, greatness and hard work of a father, while they spoke volumes about mother. And since then, he is keeping this ‘father sentiment’ in every film of his.

Films like A..Aa, Agnyaathavasi, and Aravinda Sametha has this father sentiment in one way or the other. But now, Trivikram is coming up with a sequel to his own full-fledged father sentiment flick and it is titled ‘Nanna..Nenu’. Are we confusing you? No, we are not.

Actually, the upcoming film of hero Allu Arjun and director Trivikram deals with father sentiment yet again. And we have come to know that they are considering the title Nanna.. Nenu for this movie, which sounds like a sequel of S/o Satyamurthy or something that is part of Bunny-Trivikram’s father franchisee.

On the other hand, both Pooja Hegde and Catherine Thresa are roped in as leading ladies, if reports from Allu camp are to be believed.

Sukumar Said Sorry? Who Planted The Story?

Share

This is what wondering Team Sukumar right now, says insiders, who are revealing that director Sukumar got hurt again.

Cut to the happening, Sukumar has met Mahesh Babu at Chennai shoot location of Maharshi. And someone shared a picture of it, and some print media folks added the line ‘Sukumar apologized to Mahesh Babu’. Reading this, we hear that, Sukumar and his men are quite upset. Because there is nothing to apologize in that matter.

Though Sukumar is said to have expressed regret that he didn’t inform Mahesh about Allu Arjun’s project, at the same time he’s said to have added that Mahesh okaying Anil Ravipudi’s film has hurt him a lot. And Mahesh is also said to have told him that he too took it little hastily and posted tweets about the cancellation of their project.

But the story of Sukumar saying sorry is not going well with the director’s camp right now and Team Sukumar is said to be trying to find out who has planted that story. Because they want their director to be in the comfort zone without getting distracted by gossips and distorted facts.

Well, it’s better to forget the whole fiasco and proceed ahead.

KGF Director Moves On: Prabhas And Mahesh Waiting

Share

One of the hot cake directors at the moment is none other than KGF fame Prashanth Neel. The film has become such a big hit in Kannada and Hindi that every mass hero who wants that big commercial success is running after him.

Even Tollywood has two big heroes calling up this director and proceeded with some talks, but he has given a shocker to all of them. Actually, UV Creations are the first ones to approach the man behind KGF, asking him to prepare a script for Prabhas. And then, Mahesh’s team also approached the director, to check if the director will be willing to work with their star. While Prashanth met all these heroes politely, he stated that they have to wait for a year to team up with him.

And now he went ahead with KGF: Chapter 2 plans which is on the cards since the first part release. The sequel movie was launched without any hungama and fanfare today. So all our heroes should wait for more than a year to get Prashanth aboard for a movie. So after a year, we have to see if Mahesh will do a film with him or Prabhas will grab the chance, and that also depends on KGF 2 success at the box office.

Why Four Takes Each For #RRR?

Share

Director Rajamouli is known for shooting almost 4-5 hours length movie and later he chops out many portions on the editing table. Definitely, for the kind of budgets his producers pour on him, he enjoys that luxury of shooting extra lengths. But these numerous takes happening for #RRR have another reason.

Other day the legendary director has already confirmed that #RRR is going to be another Baahuabli, in terms of grandeur, budgets, and scale. As the film is set in a vintage backdrop of a pre-Independent era, surely Rajamouli will be crafting another visual marvel only. But this time, he wants his marvel to reach many untapped territories.

Reports are coming out that #RRR is being shot simultaneously in four languages. While we know that Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi are the possible languages the film will be predominantly shot, what is that fourth language anyway?

Though few said it is Malayalam, some say that Rajamouli is making some of his actors dub their lines in Japanese. Though the slang is not correct, at least the dubbing artist could do proper lip sync. These are just assumptions only, but few sources confirmed that the film is being shot as a multi-lingual.
