Vijay Devarakonda’s Hero: A Sports Drama?
Young sensation Vijay Devarakonda is lining up interesting films that dabble with different genres. Rather sticking to the rom-com genre that gave him mega hits like Pelli Choopulu and Geetha Govindam, he is eyeing political thrillers, sports dramas and larger-than-life stories too.
Currently busy wrapping Dear Comrade and also director Kranthi Madhav’s movie, we hear that he will be coming up with a sports drama later this movie. Likely to be produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this film will be shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada if we have to believe.
Tamil film Kaaka Muttai fame dialogue writer Anand Annamalai is said to be carving this sports drama based on some real incidents where our hero will appear as a bike racer. Though much details are yet to be revealed, the makers are currently considering the title “Hero” for this film.
In 1984, Megastar Chiranjeevi came up with “Hero” under the direction of Vijaya Bapineedu, and in 2008 Nithin has also come up with a film with the title “Hero”. We have to see if Vijay Devarakonda also joins the club.
Family Advise To Pawan: Do A Film After Elections!
Right now Janasena President Pawan Kalyan is busy with his political campaigns in the Rayalaseema region. He is busy touring Kadapa and other places where his meetings have drawn huge crowds. But here comes personal advice to him for his family folks.
Recently Pawan is said to have met his family members as he attended a special homam performed by the mega family at a temple. During this meeting, he spoke to his Vadina who he treats like mother and discussed various things. At that time, we hear that, Megastar Chiru and Surekha have given a piece of advice to the Janasenani.
Reportedly they are said to have told him that quitting films is not the right option. Apparently, Chiru might have felt that occasionally doing a film or two will make Pawan more close to the people. Though Pawan has no plans to act in films anymore, people close to him are feeling that he might act in a film in the near future. Some friends from his political fraternity asked him to do a film after the elections get wrapped, says a source.
On the other hand, Pawan sees this as a love for the actor in him, but not contemplating to do movies in the near future.

Kangana slams Ranbir for not taking stand on politics
Mumbai: Actress Kangana Ranaut has slammed actor Ranbir Kapoor for not taking a stand on the country’s politics and other issues.
Kangana was interacting with the media at the success party of “Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi” along with co-star Ankita Lokhande here on Sunday.
When asked if she planned to join politics or to participate in an election campaign, Kangana said: “I don’t have any intention to join politics or an election campaign of a political party. Many people feel that I want to enter politics but that’s not true. There are few actors in our industry like Ranbir Kapoor where he has been seen talking in an interview that ‘We have regular supply of water and electricity at my home so, why should I comment about politics?’ But I feel because of this country’s people you are living in your luxurious home and you are travelling in your Mercedes so, how can you talk like that? This is irresponsible behaviour and I am not that kind of person.”
In a 2018 interview, Ranbir was asked why he shied away from making political statements.
The actor replied that he doesn’t follow politics since it makes no difference to his life. He added that since he lives in a luxurious life and has complete access to basic needs like water, and electricity, he was fairly satisfied.
Kangana said that if expressing her opinions about a certain issue ruins her film career then, she is okay with it.
“If talking about politics can hamper my career then let it be. I also have regular supply of water and electricity at my home but that doesn’t mean that I will not talk about other issues. This has to change and the media should change that.
“I feel you shouldn’t distance yourself from issues of the country. In a democracy, you should speak about how the government has performed and also speak about your political inclination as a youth of this country. You cannot say why should I talk about politics when I get all the facilities. I don’t understand why they think of their career so much that they don’t have anything to do with their own country?”
On the film front, Kangana will be next seen in “Mental Hai Kyaa?” opposite Rajkummar Rao, slated to release in May .
She will also share screenspace with Punjabi singer Jassi Gill, Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi and Neena Gupta in Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s “Panga”.
Sai Pallavi In Talks For Mahesh Babu’s Next?
Sai Pallavi has so many fans in Telugu States, but she hasn’t bagged any big ticket film in Telugu film industry till now.
The Fidaa actress has been restricted to doing medium budget films with mid-range stars. The talented actress is finally getting her due according to the latest reports from tinsel town.
Sai Pallavi is being considered for one of the female leads in Mahesh Babu’s proposed project with Anil Ravipudi, according to reports.
Mahesh has given a nod to Anil Ravipudi’s script recently and the director is now busy in getting the bound script ready. Meanwhile, he is considering viable options for the female leads.
The idea to cast Sai Pallavi is still in talks and we have to wait for few more days to know whether it has turned out true or not. Having Sai Pallavi as the female lead will give pan South India appeal to the film.
Sai Pallavi’s recent films may not have done well at the box office, but the Rowdy Baby song has kept her name buzzing across the social media platforms.
Big Breaking: Sukumar and Allu Arjun film locked
In a major twist, Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s film has been announced. Though Mahesh Babu is willing to begin Sukumar’s film along with Anil Ravipudi’s movie, Sukumar has decided to go with Allu Arjun.
Allu Arjun’s 20th film will be directed by Sukumar and Mythri Movie Makers will produce this film. Will Mahesh Babu now do Sukumar’s film later?
All Arjun has already signed his 19th film for director Trivikram and it will be launched shortly. Sukumar will direct 20th movie.
This is third time that Sukumar is directing Allu Arjun after ‘Arya’ and ‘Arya 2’.
Bheemili Beckons Nara Lokesh
The TDP is hard at work in trying to find a suitable constituency for Nara Lokesh where he can win from comfortably.In line with this, 5 constituencies have reportedly been shortlisted: Bheemili in Vizag, Penamuluru in Krishna district, Pedakurapadu and Vinukonda in Guntur district and Hindupur in Anantapur.
Of these, Hindupur can straightaway be removed as Balakrishna is likely to contest from there again.
Bheemili is represented by Ganta Srinivasa Rao who is keen on representing the constituency again. However, Ganta is willing to make way for Lokesh provided he is given Vizag North. For some reason, the TDP is keen on sidelining Ganta from Bheemili.
Earlier, Andhra Jyothi carried a survey report which said there was a lot of anti-incumbency against Ganta. Upset by this, Ganta was on the verge of leaving the Party but stayed put, eventually.
Now this ‘Lokesh for Bheemili’ plot seems to be aimed specifically at Ganta although the reasons are best known to the TDP leadership only. But if Lokesh were to content from Bheemili, by no means is it a ‘safe seat’ for him.
Unfortunately for Lokesh and fortunately for the people of Bheemili, there are not enough Kammas here who can automatically vote Lokesh to victory.So, the whole exercise as mentioned earlier seems to be directed with Ganta in mind.
What could be the reason? Only the TDP knows!
ED’s next target: Jayadev Galla?
At a time when assembly and general elections are nearing, Andhra Pradesh’s Telugu Desam Party leaders are still embroiled in facing Income-Tax or Enforcement Directorate raids as part of the BJP’s tactic to weaken the ruling party. In a scathing attack on the Prime Minister and BJP’s political vendetta, TDP MP from Guntur Galla Jayadev accused the saffron party of “misusing the ED and I-T” to crackdown on their political rivals.
“Anyone who goes against BJP’s interests becomes an anti-national in the country. Prime Minister Modi is using blackmail tactics against TDP leaders. They are targeting me for giving a befitting reply to the BJP in the Parliament in the Budget session and for directly questioning the Prime Minister,” he said, adding that no one can stop the victory of Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh in the upcoming elections.
“They are unnecessarily setting off rumours that I-T raids are on, on all my businesses,” Jayadev said, adding that he is ready to face any raids or investigation. However, he told party cadre that ED had questioned him for eight hours because he has been one of the prominent voices opposing the BJP from TDP and that he answered every questioned posed by them.
He also elaborated on ED officials’ misbehaviour with him during the investigation. “The BJP, TRS and YSRCP are doing everything in their power to ensure that TDP loses. But, we will fight and that too rightfully,” he said, adding that he is confident of Telugu Desam sailing to victory in Andhra Pradesh this time too.
‘In Next 2 Yrs, Jr NTR may take over T-TDP’
Surprising everyone with his statement, Ashwaraopeta Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA from Khammam district declared that the party high command is mulling over handing over the reins of the party in Telangana to film actor Junior NTR. At a time when the party’s popularity has been on a decline ever since 2014, Mecha Nageswara Rao made these statements that have set the rumours mills ringing in the political circles in both the Telugu states.
According to the TDP MLA, Junior NTR may take over the party in the next two years and revive it. Responding to speculation that he will quit the TDP and join Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) just like his counterpart Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, he said that he will stay with the Telugu Desam Party.
Stating that he was approached by TRS leaders, he added that even Telangana Chief Minister’s Office employees, ministers in the government and others tried to influence him to join the pink party. However, he revealed that he would not quit the party and would continue with the TDP as he believes that the party has potential and strong chances of revival in the upcoming years.
A film on Surgical Strike 2.0 on-board?
India’s widespread of emotions that took place on the recent surgical strikes is no less than an action movie. People have witnessed intense nail-biting tension last week when one of the IAF pilots have been captured by the Pakistan army.
Looks like the whole episode has inspired Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. As per the latest news, a film on the recent IAF strikes and Jaish-e-Mohammad operations in Balakot is already in pre-production. However, the filmmakers are working with the research process on the actual events and said to be co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. The film will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor.
The cast details are still in talks and will soon be unveiled. Also, a few producers had already rushed to decide titles relating to the Pulwama attack and some of them are Pulwama: The Deadly Attack, Surgical Strike 2.0 and How’s the Josh?
