Pulwama mastermind Abdul Rasheed Ghazi killed!
The Indian security forces have killed Pulwama mastermind Abdul Rasheed Ghazi who was the man behind the killing of 42 CRPF jawans on February 14th.
The army received a credible information that Abdul and two other terrorists were hiding in a house in Pinglan area. The army blew up the house which also killed the two civilians who are reportedly the owners of the house.
This is a moral victory for the security forces. But the army is not acknowledging that Abdul Rasheed Ghazi was grounded in this incident due to unknown reasons.
Abdul Rasheed commands all the Jaish-e-Mohammed operations in India and reportedly infiltrate Kashmir around mid-December last year. He is believed to be hiding in South Kashmir and before the Pulwama attack, he escaped an encounter with security forces.
A strategy to eat into TDP’s vote bank
YSR Congress Party President and Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy showered a slew of sops for more than 139 Backward Classes and sub-castes in Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing a huge gathering at the party’s BC Garjana in Eluru, he read out the ‘BC Declaration’ drafted by the party’s committee which was set up for the purpose. “If voted to power, YSR Congress Party will establish 139 welfare corporations for the sub-castes with unlimited access in category and every BC woman between 45 and 60 years would be given Rs75,000 under the YSR Cheyutha scheme.”
Jaganmohan Reddy added that he would allocate not less than Rs 15,000 crore per year for the welfare of the BCs in the Budget by bringing in the comprehensive sub-plan act. Additionally, he promised that every BC student would be eligible for free education with a financial assistance of Rs 20,000 assistance per year, for students in government hostels towards mess charges and other expenses. In addition, parents of all the school (government) students would be given Rs 15,000 per year for other expenses for the child’s education.
He announced 50% reservation of the nominated posts in the government corporations, organisations and temple boards for the BC, SC, ST and Minority candidates and a law would be made to implement it. Jagan added that 50% of the outsourced and contract works in the government would be given to the members of the communities. He also announced YSR Bima through which the families of farmers who die would be given Rs 7 lakh. “In this direction, we will bring out a Act which will make sure that the only belongs to the family,” he revealed.
Zero percentage interest loan of Rs 10,000 to recognised vendors and small business organisers, Rs 10,000 for Nayi Brahmin shops and basic salary for those working in temples, houses and jobs for nomadic communities, Rs 10,000 for fisherman during fishing ban and Rs 10 lakh ex gratia for their families in case of accidental death, Rs 2,000 per month for women running handloom mills were among the other promises the YSR Congress President made.
The BC Garjana, political observers say, was held by YSR Congress Party to dent Telugu Desam Party’s BC votebank, which is the Yellow Party’s strong support base. This is a strategy of the YSRCP to eat into TDP’s vote bank with such huge promises, ahead of the upcoming elections in the state.
Encounter in Pulwama: 4 soldiers killed
The Pulwama district in Jammu & Kashmir is boiling with terrorist activities. After the recent attack, on Monday a fresh encounter is reported. Huge gun firing is going on between the army and Jaish terrorists.
Sadly once again the army is on the receiving end as four army personnel including a Major and two civilians were killed in this encounter. Two soldiers were also injured.
The army got to know that Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists are hiding in the Pinglan area. During their search operations, the terrorists reportedly started firing. To counter them, a joint team of Army’s 55 RR, CRPF and SOG were deployed.
The killed army personnel are identified as Major DS Dondial, Head Constable Save Ram, Ajay Kumar, and Hari Singh. The injured solider is Gulzar Mohammad and is shifted to Army’s 92 base hospital Badamibagh Srinagar for treatment.
Bollywood Star Clarifies On #RRR: None Approached Me

Amalapuram TDP MP All Set To Join YSRCP?
Amalapuram MP Ravindrababu is rumored to be leaving Telugu Desam and is expected to meet YS Jagan today or tomorrow in Hyderabad.
Ravindrababu is heard to be upset with TDP as the party chief did not give any assurance of ticket in the upcoming elections. The Amalapuram MP want to contest for the assembly this time and a few months back he conveyed the same to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. But as his work was not up to the mark in last four years, Naidu is said to be in thoughts to give the Amalapuram MP ticket to a fresh face.
Unhappy over this, Ravindrababu has met his supporters and made up his mind to resign to TDP. He is already in talks with YSRCP feelers and his appointment with Jagan will be confirmed later in the day. Ravindrababu is said to be demanding assembly ticket from either Vizag or any SC reserved seat from the Godavari districts. Jagan would also discuss the same with his key partymen and then think about welcoming Ravindrababu.

I Will Meet KCR: Jagan In BC Garjana
Banking heavily on the BC votes in the state and trying to woo voters from the BC community, Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s BC Garjana witnessed a huge response. Additionally, the YSRCP President also made huge promises during the meeting showing them with a slew of sops amounting to nearly Rs. 75,000 crore.
On the other hand, Jaganmohan Reddy also promised to Backward Classes people and the sub-castes that he will meet Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to understand why the Telangana government removed 32 sub-castes from BC category. Adding to this, Jaganmohan Reddy also came down heavily on TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu for not questioning KCR on the removal of 32 sub-castes from BCs list.
At the BC Garjana meeting, Jagan gave people a word that he will question KCR regarding that and understand why such a harsh decision was taken by the TRS Chief. “I shall meet KCR soon and I will discuss about why this decision was taken. I will also inform him how it will hard these 32 sub-castes, further pushing them into a disadvantageous position,” he thundered, from the meeting.
The BC Garjana meeting of the YSRCP, just ahead of the assembly elections in state, is expected to dent Telugu Desam Party’s BC vote bank which is one of its core support bases.
From BJP, Kavuri to jump to YSRCP?
Looks like Daggubati Venkateswara Rao’s entry into YSR Congress Party has been attracting a lot of political bigwigs into the party. After industrialist and dormant TDP leader Jai Ramesh’s interest in joining YSRCP on recommendation of Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, BJP Member of Parliament Kavuri Sambasiva Rao joins this brigade.
Kavuri Sambasiva Rao who has been a die-hard Congress neta had switched to the Bharatiya Janata Party post bifurcation. Ever since, he has received tremendous respect within the party. However, it is believed that he has been planning to switch to YSR Congress, given the waning political strength of BJP along with a negative image of the party, after giving a raw deal to Andhra Pradesh.
In view of his close association with Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, Kavuri had apparently approached the former to explore opportunities in YSR Congress Party. Sources say that he has been trying this from the last 10 days and may meet YSR Congress Chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy in this regard. “He had met YS Jagan twice already. Soon, he will meet Jagan again and make a decision,” said a party leader.
According to party sources, Vijay Sai Reddy has been mediating the deal between Kavuri and Jagan. While socially, Kavuri’s entry may not be beneficial to YSR Congress but its aim of bringing all anti-Chandrababu people onto a single platform is bringing people into YSR Congress Party, say political observers.
Telugus in London protest infront of Pakistan HC
People from all over the world have been organizing candle march and protests for the martyred jawans during the deadly Pulwama attack. The upsetting incident has moved everyone and made them held the protest in the memory of dead.
Yesterday, a vast group of Telugus who reside in London took a part in the protest. The rally was made against Pakistan in Belgravia by the Indian community in front of Pakistan High Commission.
All the Telugus were seen holding placards that says ‘A march for Peace’, ‘A march against Terrorism’ and ‘Remembering our heroes’ while shouting ‘Pakistan down, down’. Those who were involved in the protest have earnestly asked the international community to support their cause and take a stand against terrorism.
Anil Kurmachalam, who hails from Telangana, works for a company in London. He was an active participant in the rally and said the whole protest was peaceful. “Our only motive is to cut the roots of terrorism in Pakistan,” Anil said.
The protest ended with Vandemataram song and waving Indian Nation flag. Being united in solidarity, people have walked with their lighted mobile phones.
NTR Mahanayakudu’s Team Blasts at RGV
The team of ‘NTR Mahanayakudu’ doesn’t know how to react to all the bad press that the movie is getting now. The memes on social media are circulating widely.
The team is now venting their anger at Ram Gopal Varma as they see it is he who is badmouthing NTR Mahanayakudu.
The movie’s writer Sai Madhav Burra’s brother has written a big post on Facebook attacking RGV and calling him as “Vaadu” and “Kukka”.
He is also former film journalist worked with Saakshi and he must be defending his writer brother but his choice of words is in pure taste.
On other hand, RGV’s fans are attacking him. The fans believe that the team of “NTR Mahanayakudu” is using RGV as a shield to cover their follies.
Beware of wrong advisers, Mr Jagan!
As the elections to Andhra Pradesh assembly and Lok Sabha are fast approaching, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has been under tremendous pressure in the selection of right candidates to be fielded in various constituencies.
Since various surveys indicated that Jagan has the fair chances of coming to power in the state, he has naturally been flooded with requests for the party tickets.
Several aspirants for the party tickets have been lobbying through leaders close to the party president.
It is here that Jagan is said to be under pressure from certain leaders who are claiming themselves to be his reliable advisors.
Because of these advisors, even those who have bright chances of winning are not able to get an assurance from Jagan for the party posts.
The teams constituted by Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) floated by political strategist Prashant Kishor have come with a list of definite winners based on the feedback they had taken from the people during their extensive field-level studies. But, these advisors have been recommending other candidates for the same seats.
In 2014, too, this same set of advisors had given similar advices to Jagan and made him field candidates in several constituencies and many of them had lost in the elections.
At least this time, Jagan should go cautious in selection of candidates as per his scientific surveys, rather than going by recommendation from these advisors, who he believes are his close confidants!
Jagan Says NO ENTRY For TDP MLAs
Some of the Telugu Desam Party MLAs are trying hard for the appointment of YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Though leaders like Avanthi Srinivas and Amanchi Krishna Mohan has joined YSR Congress, the party is not ready to allow all the TDP MLAs.
As a wave in favour of YSRCP is noticed in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam leaders have started falling in line to join YCP.
Some of the TDP MLAs are discussing with local leaders of YCP to confirm their berth in the coming assembly elections.
But, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s team has given clear instructions to the party leaders saying that not to encourage any of the TDP MLA if the people are irritated with them.
With this, some of the TDP MLAs have been rejected entry to YSRCP. Now some other MLAs who are ready to join YSRCP are in a confused state whether to approach Jagan or not.
YS Jagan and his team felt that allowing corrupted TDP MLAs into the party is nothing but helping Chandrababu Naidu.

Kamal Haasan Takes A Dig At Rajinikanth
Chennai: Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan on Sunday took digs at DMK President M.K. Stalin and Rajinikanth.
At the Rotaract Annual District Conference held here, Kamal Haasan said Gram Sabha is there for decades and only after he started holding such meetings in villages in Tamil Nadu that others started copying that.
The founder of MNM party was obliquely referring to DMK President M.K. Stalin and others holding Gram Sabha meetings.
“Are you not ashamed of copying from a small boy?” he said.
At another point, Kamal Haasan said he cannot be wearing a torn shirt, and even if his shirt gets torn in the Assembly, he would wear another shirt.
Kamal Haasan was obliquely referring to Stalin, who came out of the Tamil Nadu Assembly in torn shirt on 17.2.2018 when the AIADMK government led by Chief Minister K. Palaniswami sought vote of confidence.
Similarly, Kamal Haasan, when questioned about his bold decision to contest the Lok Sabha elections, said: “After oiling one’s body and slapping of thighs, one should not back out from the wrestling field saying he would come the next day.”
If that happens then one would become a laughing stock, Kamal Haasan added.
On Sunday, actor Rajinikanth announced his decision not to contest in the Lok Sabha polls. He also said he would not support any party.
