Bhatti Vikramarka as Congress floor leader
Madhira MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has been selected as Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader in the Telangana Assembly. Two days back the CLP meeting was held and they moved a resolution stating that the AICC would decide the CLP leader.
Congress has won 19 seats in the December elections and in the CLP meeting held in Golkonda hotel, many MLAs wanted to become CLP leader. TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy has been the front contenders while LB Nagar MLA Sudhir Reddy and others also tried their luck. This is kind of a setback for Uttam who has been trying to dominate the party in Telangana.
But the Congress high command preferred Vikramarka’s name being the senior most Congressman and has ample of knowledge about the assembly affairs as he worked as deputy speaker in the last Congress government. A press release is issued by the Congress party a while back stating Vikramarka will be the new CLP leader.
All eyes on ‘United India Rally’
The entire country and media has set its eyes on Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s mega rally scheduled in Kolkata on Saturday. This rally is a counter to PM Narendra Modi led BJP government.
At least 25 top political leaders belonging 20 national and regional political parties are attending this rally. Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, DMK chief MK Stalin, former BJP leader Arun Shourie, Loktantrik Janata Dal chief Sharad Yadav and Nationalist Congress Party head Sharad Pawar are appearing in the rally and they have already reached Kolkata.
Brigade Parade Ground will host the rally and Trinamool Congress claims that 40 lakh people are likely to attend and it could well be the biggest political rally ever. Mamata is eyeing the PM post in the next elections and so TMC is putting all efforts to make it a grand success.
Telangana CM KCR, YS Jagan, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik are skipping this event.
Fake News On Sharmila-Prabhas: 12 Websites Booked!
Taking swift action on websites that posted news of a rumoured affair between film actor Prabhas and Y.S. Sharmila, sister of YSRCP chief Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy, the Hyderabad Police sent notices to 12 websites which have published such defamatory articles and videos.
Alleging that these websites have taken the character assassination route, the police said that they will crackdown on the websites that posted the content. Despite deleting content, we will know the source of it by finding out the IP address from which it was posted, said Additional DCP Raghuveer. A special team has been formed to probe this case and action would be taken against those who have posted the objectionable content.
YS Sharmila, along with her husband Anil Kumar, met Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar recently and lodged a complaint seeking action on those behind a malicious campaign against her on social media. The cyber crime department is working swiftly to track these websites and take action at the earliest.
When Mahesh Drives Tractor, Works in Farm
Mahesh Babu is currently shooting his keenly awaited silver jubilee film ‘Maharshi’. The film is nearing completion and a crucial schedule is underway in Pollachi these days. Mahesh will be seen as a college student and a New York-based businessman in the film.
But there’s a much bigger treat awaiting fans. The buzz is that, for the first time, Mahesh has donned a farmer’s avatar. The Superstar reportedly drove a tractor as he ploughed the land with oxen in the ongoing schedule in Pollachi. Director Vamshi Paidipally reportedly used 60 oxen and 30 tractors in this scene.
Apparently, the scenes in the Pollachi schedule are coming out quite well and fans will have a gala time seeing Mahesh in a never before rythu getup. Maharshi’s storyline is said to be of a US-based CEO coming to his native village and then bringing out a revolution in sustainable agriculture. Famous Twins to shake leg with Prabhas
Identical twin brothers Laurent Nicolas and Larry Nicolas popularly known as Les Twins who are international reputed dancers are going to shake leg with young rebel star Prabhas in his upcoming movie ‘Saaho.’
The makers are planning to shoot a song on a grand scale and accordingly are roping international dancers from different countries. Les Twins are very famous as they have featured dancers for various music artists like Beyonce, Meghan Trainor, Missy Elliott and others. Bollywood choreographer Vaibhav Merchant is going to choreograph the song.
‘Saaho’ is an action thriller being directed by Sujeeth. The film is setting the bar very high with its update. The teaser released on the eve of Prabhas birthday in October, got a terrific response with over the top action sequences making.
Shraddha Kapoor is pairing with Prabhas in ‘Saaho’ which is being simultaneously made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy are composing music.
Lagadapati Not To Do Any Survey In AP?
Once-bitten-twice-shy, former Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal is unlikely to commission any survey for the forthcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh for both Lok Sabha and state assembly.
When media persons confronted Lagadapati at the camp office of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Vundavalli in Amaravati on Friday morning, he refused to make any predictions on the federal front proposed by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
“I don’t want to comment on the federal front at this stage,” Lagadapati said and refused to answer further queries on it.
Apparently, he has decided against doing any other survey, because if his predictions go wrong, his image would further go down.
During the recent assembly elections in Telangana, Lagadapati predicted that the Maha Kootami of four opposition parties will come to power and the TRS would end up with 35-45 seats.
But the results proved him totally wrong as the TRS won 88 assembly seats out of 119 and decimated the Maha Kootami completely.
Sources said Lagadapati is planning to get back his glory by making a re-entry into politics by joining the TDP. It is learnt he is lobbying for Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat again.
For the record, Lagadapati met Naidu to give the invitation to attend a family function which is to be held on January 27.

Samantha who was bowled over by the beauty of Tamil romantic drama “96” that starred Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha as silent lovers said no one should touch it to remake in other languages. The beauty of the movie will not be recreated, she tweeted.
Despite her reservations about the remake, she has now finally given her nod to reprise the Trisha’s role in the Telugu remake.
If reports are to be believed, she will be sharing the screen space with Sharwanand for the first time in the remake of “96”.
