Mumbai: Actress Kangana Ranaut is determined to fight against the Shri Rajput Karni Sena, who have threatened protests if the film is not screened for the outfit before theatrical release.

The actress says if they don’t stop harassing her, she will “destroy them”.

According to reports, the Maharashtra wing of the Karni Sena protested against the film on Thursday alleging that the period drama “alludes to Rani Laxmibai’s relationship with a British officer”.

The outfit — which led a long protest against “Padmaavat” in 2017 — also claimed that the film shows the queen dancing to a special number, saying that it is against tradition. They asked the makers of the film to show them the movie before its release.

“Four historians have certified ‘Manikarnika…’. We have got censor certificate as well. Karni Sena has been conveyed this but they are continuing to harass me,” Kangana said in a statement.

“If they don’t stop then they should know I am also a Rajput and I will destroy each one of them,” added the actress, who has directed the film along with Krish.

National Award-winning lyricist and Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairman Prasoon Joshi has penned the songs for ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi” which captures the life story of Rani Laxmibai. Kangana will be bringing her life alive on the big screen.

The film, also featuring Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Danny Denzongpa, Suresh Oberoi and Jisshu Sengupta, will be screened for President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi on Friday.

Produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti, the movie will release on January 25.

Back in summer 2014, a struggling Naga Shaurya got his first major break as a hero with Oohalu Gusagusalaade. This romantic comedy marked the directorial debut of actor Avasarala Srinivas. Also starring Raashi Khanna, the film went on to become a decent hit.

Later, in 2016, both Avasarala Srinivas and Naga Shaurya teamed up once again for Jyo Achyuthananda along with Nara Rohit and Regina. Even that film had a decent run at the box office. Sai Korrapati had produced both the movies.

Now, the OGG and Jyo duo is all set for a hat-trick collaboration. We have exclusively learnt from a source close to the development that Avasarala Srinivas has completed penning his next script and that he has got Naga Shaurya on board as the male lead. New producers will bankroll the film. An official announcement regarding the film will be made soon.

These names we are reading and hearing are the biggest ones of Tollywood. And then, if Jr NTR is seriously following Megastar Chiru and Superstar Mahesh as well, then we have to surely look into this. And this is actually in connection with an Akkineni hero.

Firstly we have Mahesh Babu attending the audio launch of Akkineni Akhil’s debut film “Akhil” which flopped big time at the box office. At that time, Mahesh has attended the event because Nagarjuna attended as Chief Guest for Mahesh Babu’s debut film audio launch. It’s a kind of payback.

And then, as Akhil gets treated at Megastar Chiru’s family like Charan’s younger brother, the Matinee Idol has attended “Hello” audio launch. While Chiru claimed that Akhil is his younger son, Akhil went on calling Chiru as ‘Peda Nanna’ garu. And now, Akhil’s new film “Mr Majnu” is gearing up for a release.

For the pre-release event of the movie that is scheduled for Jan 19th, now Jr NTR is following in the footsteps of Mahesh and Megastar. We have to see what reason Tarak will actually say for coming to this event.

Earlier Tarak and Nag were supposed to star together in Oopiri, but the Nandamuri hero opted out of it for reasons better known to him. Now, fans will get a chance to see them together at this event.

NTR : Kathanayakudu might have garnered good reviews, but the BO collections are taking a toll on its distributors. As the film did a massive pre-release theatrical business of Rs 70 Crore which is first of its kind for Balakrishna film, certainly trade is on tenterhooks when it comes to recovery of the huge investment.

The film’s co-producer Sai Korrapati who also bought the film’s theatrical rights in Vizag, Ceded, Krishna and Karnataka areas is one among the distributors who are worried about the recovery. It is learnt that Sai Korrapati has bet a huge amount for the above areas and going by trade analysts, Sai may drop into huge losses.

Despite gaining good reviews, the film is struggling to pull in crowds to cinemas. Now, Sai Korrapati and other distributors of the film are pinning high hopes on the second part NTR : Mahanayakudu to bail them out.

Akkineni Prince Akhil is yet to score a hit even after two big attempts. He is hoping to get third time lucky with Mr. Majnu directed by Tholi Prema fame Venky Atluri.It is a key film for Akhil as he cannot afford to fail for the third time in a row. Delivering back to back flops has already affected his career to an extent.

Akhil is wise enough to do a medium budget film this time. Despite taking utmost care about everything, Akhil is leaving no stone unturned to get every bit of mileage for Mr. Majnu.He has invited NTR Jr. as the Chief Guest for Mr. Majnu pre release event so that he gets full support from Nandamuri fans.

He is already in good books of Mega fans with his close association and brotherly bonding with Ram Charan.Megastar and Charan attended the pre release event of Hello. His fans also impressed Venky fans with flexies supporting F2 recently.

Akhil is looking to get the support from all sides to make Majnu work.

Balakrishna and team NTR believed that there would be unprecedented craze for NTR biopic, which is why they have placed statues of NTR in more than hundred theaters across Telugu states.But the film turned out to be a box office disaster with poor collections. Even trade pundits are puzzled by the disastrous response for biopic.

Nandamuri fans are in a state of shock with very disappointing performance of the film even in Balakrishna’s strongest fortes.While many are coming up with various theories for the failure of biopic, here is an interesting analysis where fingers point at Nagababu and Nadendla for minimizing the impact of NTR at the box office.

Nagababu had released a series of videos targeting Balakrishna by highlighting some of Balakrishna’s objectionable comments against mega family as well as lower castes.Nagababu’s videos have gone viral on the internet and have shown Balakrishna in bad light.Then Nadendla started exposing dark secrets of late NTR and Chandrababu Naidu that also got maximum attention.

A certain section of audience have stayed away from watching the film irrespective of word of mouth and reviews.The film couldn’t post good collections with so much negativity surrounding Balakrishna and the biopic.The theory may not be entirely true but the effect of Nagababu and Nadendla cannot be ruled out entirely.
