Cong MLAs remain united, TDP divided!

Share

With the commencement of the first session of the Telangana state assembly, a tense atmosphere prevailed in the opposition camp as to whether there would be any exodus of MLAs into the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

However, the Congress appeared to have remain united at least for the time being, as all the 19 newly elected MLAs attended the Congress Legislature Party meeting held in the assembly on Thursday in the presence of AICC observer K C Venugopal, indicating that nobody is going to join the TRS at least in the near future.

Though there were certain rumblings in the party over the election of CLP leader with half a dozen MLAs throwing their hat into the ring for the post, they finally left it to the party high command to select the CLP leader and said they would abide by whatever decision party president Rahul Gandhi will take.

However, the Telugu Desam Party having just two MLAs in the assembly seemed to be on the verge of disintegration.

Sattupalli MLA and senior TDP leader Sandra Venkata Veeraiah was conspicuous by his absence, when the party leaders were paying floral tributes to TDP founder president NT Rama Rao at NTR Ghat before leaving for assembly.

Aswaraopet MLA Mechha Nageswara Rao was the only MLA along with other Telangana TDP leaders who attended the programme organised at NTR Ghat.

When the party leaders contacted Sandra, he said he was not in a position to come to Hyderabad because of gram panchayat elections and there was no other intention on attending the programme.

But his absence led to the speculation that he will soon be going to join the TRS, as was being speculated for the last few weeks.

NTR Biopic Second Part on Feb 14

Share

As speculated, the makers of ‘NTR Mahanayakudu’, the second part of NTR Biopic, have decided to postpone the movie.

The film will now be hitting the screens on 14th February instead of 7th February. An announcement will be made shortly.

The decision was taken in the wake of disastrous result for the first part.

Krish wants some more time to recheck the final edit of the second part and do corrections if necessary so that this movie doesn’t go wrong at the box-office.

Rumors say Krish was so confident on his first part that he didn’t even recheck properly. The balance work of shoot for the movie is now under progress.

The first part “NTR Kathanayakudu” has become one of the all-time disasters at the box-office and the distributors are in shock. However, they will be compensated with the second part.

Jagan’s Rising Popularity: Sakshi Zooms to 2nd Position

Share

The popularity of Andhra Pradesh opposition leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is on the rise.

If last week’s Television viewership ratings are any indication, his interviews will now be selling point for the media.

Jagan’s owned Sakshi channel, which has been struggling to get into the top-5 slot for many years has seen turn around.

Last week, the channel rose to second place, putting other popular channels like TV5 and NTV behind.

While TV9 continues its dominance as the number one channel, Sakshi stood at second place with 45.3 TVR points.

1. TV9: 58
2. SAKSHI: 45
3. TV5: 41
4. V6: 38
5. NTV: 36

Last week, Sakshi did telecast Jagan’s interview as well as live telecast his Padayatra’s conclusive event.

Similarly, TV9’s Rajinikanth did a special interview with Jagan and the viewership for this program is in top position. Also TV9’s Youtube channel attracted more than million views for Jagan’s interview.

All these indicate that Y S Jagan’s matured statements and his balanced views are now being seriously taken by the general public. This would definitely send shivers down the spine of Telugu Desam party leaders.

NTR First Week Collections: A Huge Disaster

Share

First part of prestigious biopic of NTR titled Kathanayakudu is heading for a disaster at the box office.

The film’s first week collections are disastrous considering the pre release business. The film is an outright failure in each and every territory including overseas.

The film has collected around Rs. 13 crore share in Telugu states and worldwide is around Rs. 17 crore.

The film’s overall business will be below Rs. 20 crore as the holiday period is over. What’s surprising is the film’s poor performance in spite of weak opposition.

Except F2 there isn’t any successful film in the market now. However, NTR failed to do well in spite of decent reviews and positive word of mouth.

Was offered Nobel Prize & Bharat Ratna: KA Paul

Share

Christianity preacher KA Paul said he was nominated for Nobel Peace Prize seven times and was offered thrice. But he declined to take to serve people in a better way. Paul went on to add that former Lok Sabha speaker GMC Balayogi had recommended his name for ‘Bharat Ratna’ which is the highest civilian award.

Not stopping here, Paul said six months back BJP national president Amit Shah had written a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee claiming that ‘Paul is modern day Gandhi’ and deserves to win Nobel Peace Prize for the year 2019.

However, Paul rejected all these and said he just needs the blessing the almighty and people. He called Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan to join hands with for the upcoming elections.

Paul reiterated that his Praja Shanti Party will contest all the 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats.

This Is What Megastar Did On Sankranthi Eve

Share

Not even taking a break from work, it looks like Team Sye Raa simply stunned everyone with their work ethic. And one has to appreciate Megastar Chiranjeevi’s work ethic in this connection. Because he has set the ball rolling like anything with his commitment.

This Sankranthi, Megastar didn’t go to his Bangalore farmhouse to celebrate three days of Sankranthi festival. Instead, he felt the need to wrap the shooting of Sye Raa as already the huge star-cast and the scale of the film is making it a delayed released. And then, the work they have done is said to be amazing.

Under the direction of Surender Reddy, Chiru and Co are now filming a farmland sequence where they are plowing the land with axes and cows and trying to get rid of the great famine that took over Rayalaseema during the pre-Independent era. We hear that Megastar and his cast have enjoyed shooting this particular episode on Sankranthi eve.

Actually, Sye Raa was supposed to release on August 15th this year, but there is no clarity over the suspense. Though there are still eight months to go, Ram Charan is yet to come to a conclusion over the release date due to shoot delays. That’s the Chiru is working hard like this.

Dil Raju Knows The Talk In Advance?

Share

Matinee, First Show and Second Show registered full-houses at various centres like RTC X Roads and other multiplexes in Hyderabad. Yes, we are talking about the movie ‘F2’ which is reaping huge profits for producer Dil Raju now.

The biggest plus point for Dil Raju when it comes to Venky and Varun’s F2 is not keeping the film in Sankranthi race, but with the other competitors going weak at the box office he is able to mint profits. Many things are being heard about this, and here is one rumour.

Some are saying that Dil Raju might have known the talk of other two films in advance through his sources planted in various production houses in the film industry. That’s the reason that pushed him to launch ‘F2’ attack on Sankranthi eve, braving the biggies like NTR and Vinaya Vidheya Rama.

While F2 is making nearly 80K Rs. Per each show, VVR is struggling to touch 14K while NTR stood at 8K if we look at matinee collections at single screens. That explains how much Raju benefitted with the poor result of other two films.

Talk: Pawan Kalyan’s Job Made Easy

Share

Will Pawan Kalyan eat into Telugu Desam’s vote bank? Or will Pawan break the fruits that YS Jagan was about to reap by luring anti-incumbent votes towards his side? That really depends on what the Janasena president will offer in his manifesto though there is no denying about his charisma in winning few seats.

But today, the job of Pawan Kalyan is made easy. For two reasons, his supporters are thinking that the Janasena boss will make his winds blow strongly at Andhra Pradesh election box office. Firstly, the recent failure of Telugudesam party in Telangana elections, majorly due to its tie-up with Congress party, is likely to help Pawan a bit.

At a time when political analysts are trying to figure out if Pawan really cashes on this vacuum, there came YS Jagan and his meeting with TRS party working president KT Rama Rao. This has surely raked up some serious Andhra feeling in Andhraites as Jagan moved to shake hands with anti-Andhra slogan makers. Like how TDP got affected by their tie-up with Congress in Telangana, Jagan might make a huge self-goal with his affinity towards Federal Front being led by KCR.

All said and done, these incidents gave literally an opportunity to Pawan Kalyan by making his job of political campaigning easy. Can the Janasena president cash on these opportunities is what we have to see now? Analysts feel that Pawan is still being little slow and he has to take two-steps a day now rather half step.
