I’ve Given Highest Remuneration To Dad: Ram Charan
Ram Charan for the first time has broken his silence on RRR and Sye Raa. Here are the excerpts from his candid conversation. What’s your first reaction when you first heard about RRR – multi-starrer with NTR?
My first reaction was silence. When Rajamouli garu told me about this, I was silent. NTR is very good friend of mine and working in such a big multi-starrer is really welcoming and I’m very excited, looking forward to. The scenes involving Tarak and me have come out really well. Rajamouli garu did a great job keeping in mind about the expectations.
Your reunion took a while after Magadheera. Were you and Rajamouli talks in meantime?
After Magadheera, Rajamouli garu became busy with his films. He was busy with Eega, Baahubali. There was no time for us to think about doing another film. But he seems to have plans. He came for Sye Raa movie opening and he was working on RRR script. He shared with me his plan later.
Sye Raa seems to have got delayed?
Sye Raa is a huge film involving vast cast. Film of that scale usually takes time. Now, everything is on track. Right now, song shoot is going on. The film is being made with big budget. I’m giving highest remuneration to Dad for Sye Raa. No one has given him such high remuneration.
Any plans to go to Bollywood again?
I’m quite happy here. Tollywood is shining. I’m not very greedy. I’m happy with Telugu cinema and south cinema. Even with Sye Raa, my aim is only South. I don’t have very big plans for Sye Raa in Bollywood. Focus is more on South and less on North. Post Baahubali, economics of South cinema has changed, particularly Telugu cinema. So, we need not go there. In fact, Bollywood is looking up to Telugu cinema.
After Chitti Babu in Rangasthalam, how did you move into Ram’s character in Vinaya Vidheya Rama?
Rangasthalam is a film which I’d cherish forever. Films like Rangasthalam won’t happen often. Dhruva was one kinda experiment and Rangasthalam was another kinda experiment and Vinaya Vidheya Rama is another kinda experiment altogether. It’s a commercial masala entertainer with perfect dose of action, emotion, family elements and drama. The action in VVR is never-before-seen and I’ve done never-before. Boyapati garu inspired me to do the role. The way he narrates scenes on the sets get you into the mood of the film. That’s why I had said every actor should work with Boyapati garu once. It is going to be a good watch for Sankranthi. I’m eagerly looking forward to film.

Some thought they are rumors but Ram Charan now agrees that he had to face many headaches during the shoot of the movie in the last one and half years.”It is a mammoth project involving many actors. It is a dream project for my father. So we are not leaving any stone unturned. We recently went through some problems but I had sorted them all,” he confessed.
Ram Charan also says he would not produce films with anyone other than his dad Chiranjeevi on Konidela Productions. He had produced ‘Khaidi Number 150’ with his father and is now producing ‘Sye Raa’ with whopping Rs 200 Cr.

‘Chiru, Pawan Enthamandhini Padukobettukunnaro’ Nagababu It’s Time To React
For the last few days, Mega brother Nagababu has been making headlines with his controversial comments and social media posts on actor cum TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna. Nagababu’s comments engaged Nandamuri fans, who started trolling him heavily.
To pacify the angry fans, Nagababu released a video in which he clarified that he made those comments as Balayya humiliated both his brothers in the past. But here comes a new headache for Nagababu.
Nandamuri fans are trending an old, fiery yet controversial video in which actress turned politician Roja was blasting both Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan during the 2009 general elections. “Chiranjeevi garu, release a white paper on how many women you and Pawan Kalyan sexually exploited promising film offers and with whom did Pawan’s wife Renu Desai sleep with,” Roja fumed in the video.
Nandamuri fans are now questioning Nagababu’s hypocrisy, as he conveniently ignored Roja’s comments on his brothers and is even sharing screen space with her in a popular TV show. Well, fans do have a point and it’s Nagababu’s time to react.
KTR meets former YSRCP MLA
The social media has been going nuts over TRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao’s latest meeting with former YSRCP MLA from Darsi Constituency Buchepalli Sivaprasad Reddy. The TRS Working President met visited Sivaprasad’s ailing father at his residence.
Sivaprasad has been away from party activities for quite sometime and has made it clear that his family responsibilities have increased. Hence, he has told YSRCP Chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy that he will not be contesting the 2019 elections. The YSRCP is looking for an alternative candidate to contest from Darsi.
I feel jealous: RGV Tweets Nagababu
Director Ram Gopal Varma has intervened in the issue between hero Nandamuri Balakrishna and Naga Babu. Praising the mega brother, RGV tweeted that Naga Babu has surpassed him with his comments and at the same time defending his brothers Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan.
“I feel jealous looking at your (Naga Babu) comments. You have turned a superstar backing your brothers. Tears are rolling out of my eyes. (Oka kanta kanneru ..Maro kanta panneru). Hats off Naga Babu,” tweeted RGV. The director the lastly added that he loves Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan as much Naga Babu does.
Well during Megastar’s re-entry to films, RGV continuously target him. Naga Babu went on a verbal war with RGV then. However in the latest issue between NBK and Mega brother, RGV is making use it to promote his upcoming movie ‘Lakshmi’s NTR.’
Pawan Doesn’t Want Family Politics!
Power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan is understood to have decided not to allow his family member into the party at least till the forthcoming elections to the Andhra Pradesh assembly and Lok Sabha.According to a party source, Pawan has asked his family members, including megastar Chiranjeevi, elder brother Naga Babu and nephews Ramcharan Teja, Allu Arjun and even Varun Teja not to interfere in his party activities, though they could extend their moral support to him and the party.
Apparently, Pawan does not want to create an impression that Jana Sena is going to be a family-run party, like the other parties like TDP, Congress and even YSR Congress party.Apparently he remembers how Chiranjeevi had to take the blame due to interference of Allu Aravind, Naga Babu and even himself (Pawan) in the activities of Praja Rajyam Party.
In fact, there were allegations of party tickets being sold to some people by Allu Aravind for which Chiranjeevi had to pay a heavy penalty. So, Pawan wants to keep all his family members at pay and handle the party affairs all alone. However, he has accepted the financial support extended by Naga Babu and others for Jana Sena but will not allow anything beyond that.
The mega fans have extended their support to Jana Sena, but Chiranjeevi is not involving in any of Pawan’s activities.
Public Pulse: The Most Anticipated Sankranthi Movie is…
This Sankranthi is going to be a feast for Telugu cinema lovers with three biggies from TFI and another biggie from Tamil hitting the marquee. While every movie looks to be strong in its own respect, which is the most anticipated of them all?
We conducted a poll on this and the results clearly indicate that there would tough competition at the box office.Vinaya Vidheya Rama has been voted as the most awaited movie among Sankranthi releases. It won the poll but only by a slight margin.Vinaya Vidheya Rama got 37.1% of the polled votes and NTR Biopic stood close second with 35.54% votes.
Poll: Much Awaited Movie Among Sankranthi Releases?
F2 also got around 21% votes while Petta was left far behind with just 6.37% votes. Telugu film lovers are not keen on watching this Rajinikanth’s masala entertainer.
So the competition will be among the three Telugu biggies and it is interesting to see which of these will emerge as the ultimate Sankranthi winner.
Ram Charan to have Rambo inspired body in VVR
Telugu superstar Ram Charan, who has been trained under the guidance of Salman Khan’s fitness trainer Rakesh Udiyar for the upcoming film “Vinaya Vidheya Rama”, says he will flaunt a Rambo type of body in the film.”It was the director’s idea completely for me to have a Rambo type of body for this particular film. I completely surrendered to the director’s vision and worked towards it,” Ram said in a statement.
Being helmed by Boyapati Srinu, the film also stars actress Kiara Advani in the lead role.Ram said it was “the commitment to the director’s vision and the thought of the final output” that kept pushing him.
“It is extremely easy to get distracted when you are on a diet. Luckily for me, Upasana (my wife) is really good at whipping up some extremely tasty healthy food,” he added.
“Vinaya Vidheya Rama” is scheduled to release on January 11. It also features actors Vivek Oberoi, Prashanth, Naveen Chandra, Sneha and Aryan Rajesh in pivotal roles.
Naidu Revives Operation Akarsh?
With elections to Andhra Pradesh assembly and Lok Sabha hardly three months away, Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu appears to have revived his “Operation Akarsh” to attract senior party leaders from the rival parties to destabilize them.
The decision of senior YSR Congress party leader Ghattamaneni Adiseshagiri Rao to resign from the party is said to be part of Naidu’s latest strategy.Ghattamaneni, brother of yesteryears superstar Krishna, had been an ardent follower of late chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and an active leader of the YSR Congress party. For some strange reasons, Ghattamaneni quit the YSRC on Monday. He is likely to shift his loyalties to the TDP and it is learnt Naidu had promised him party ticket in Lok Sabha.
Similarly, senior BJP leader and official spokesman Chinnam Ramakotaiah, who had been in forefront in attacking the TDP in the television debates, suddenly took a U-turn on Monday and resigned from the BJP, expressing unhappiness over the BJP-led NDA Government’s ill treatment towards Andhra Pradesh.
A senior RSS leader, Ramakotaiah had been fighting for Railway Zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters for the past several years. He said he had met Chandrababu Naidu and the latter had entrusted him with the responsibility of solving temple archaka issues.“He asked me to prepare a document helping the temple archakas,” he said.
Leaders Losing Hope On Uttam Leadership!
The humiliating defeat in the recent assembly elections in Telangana has caused so much despair and hopelessness among the party leaders and cadre that they are not in a position to recover even a month after the election results. Many Telangana Congress leaders blame it on Pradesh Congress Committee leadership, rather than the national leadership, for the debacle.
Already several party leaders openly expressed their disgruntlement against PCC president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy and AICC in-charge of Telangana affairs R C Khuntia for bungling in selection of candidates and dragging the seat sharing in the Maha Kootami till the eleventh hour.
The outburst of former Union minister Sarvey Satyanarayana against Uttam and Khuntia during a review meeting on Sunday was the climax to the ongoing trouble in the PCC.Sarvey, who was suspended from the party for allegedly trying to assault the party bosses, made some serious comments against the leadership.
He alleged that Uttam had colluded with Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrashekar Rao to defeat not only him but also the other candidates from Kollapur, Bhongir, Palair and several other constituencies. He also alleged that Uttam had cheated TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and TJS chief M Kodandaram in the name of alliance. It is learnt several Congress leaders including newly-elected MLAs are disgusted with the leadership of Uttam, who has still been clinging to his post without taking any responsibility for the defeat of the party.
“Unless Uttam is sacked and a new leadership is brought in, there will be no life to the Congress. If he is continued till the Lok Sabha elections, not less than a dozen MLAs and several other senior leaders will resign from the party to join the TRS,” a Congress leader said.
Balayya Pays The ‘price’ For Criticising KCR
Actor Balakrishna seems to have paid the price for criticising KCR and TRS during his campaigning for TS Assembly polls held recently.Balakrishna campaigned for TDP and Congress candidates in Hyderabad and Khammam districts. He accused KCR of bringing ‘family rule’ in Telangana and TRS government of failing to deliver the promises made in 2014 polls.
Slapping his thighs in his filmy-style in Hyderabad, Balakrishna dared KCR and KTR to enter AP politics, then he will show them what fate they would meet in AP.However, Balayya’s campaign did not work out for Mahakutami which lost miserably and TRS stormed into power again with bumper majority.
Balakrishna who produced NTR biopic by acting in the lead role, has applied to Telangana and AP governments seeking special permission to screen ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’ six shows per day for a week from January 9 to 16 against the rule of allowing only four shows per day.
While AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu issued orders straight away granting approval, the TS government kept his application pending. With only a day to go for NTR biopic’s release, it is most unlikely that KCR will give special permission to Balayya given that KCR and KTR are said to be very angry at recent Balayya’s campaigning against TRS in Assembly polls.
