Venky Picks Rajamouli’s Choice For Daughter

Share

Hero Venkatesh will be celebrating with friends and family this Sunday as he is getting his elder daughter Aashritha married to businessman Vinayak Reddy on this Sunday, with whom she got engaged already. And there is a Rajamouli connect to this.

Either for security reasons or to avoid some necessary attendance at weddings, these days many celebs are heading to far away destinations when it comes to their wedding. Anushka Sharma got married in Italy, Samantha tied the knot in Goa and Rajamouli’s son did that in Jaipur. And now it looks like Venky also picked the same spot.

Not just Jaipur alone, but Venky’s daughter is going to get married at the same palace-like venue, Hotel Fairmont if our sources are to be believed. With only a few guests invited, Daggubati family is going to raise the toast at the Mughal style palace, with their close friends and relatives.

Back then, Rajamouli is said to have picked up this venue owing to his Baahubalian taste and now Venky followed the suit it looks like.

KCR backstabbed me: Vivek

Share

Former MP Vivek has alleged Telangana CM KCR had backstabbed him by denying Peddapalli MP ticket. Yesterday he resigned to the advisor to the Telangana government post and on Saturday he reached Peddapalli constituency with his supporters.

Addressing them Vivek said, “When I joined TRS few years back, KCR had assured me Peddapalli ticket. There were allegations that I worked against the party. If so why did not KCR take action against me. I was deceived by KCR and so I have resigned to whatever position they have offered. If I contest or not, win or not, hereafter I will be in Peddapalli constituency and look after the developmental works.”

Vivek further said, joint Karimnagar district MLAs have ganged up against him and so he was ignored. Vivek is now contemplating to contest the elections or not. Sources say that he might contest as Independent. Initially he planned to join Bhahujan Samaj Party (BSP) but the party already fielded a young contender by name Panja Kalyan.

Received message from Modi, tweets Pak PM

Pakistan National Day is usually celebrated to mark the Lahore Resolution on March 23rd, every year. On the eve of Pakistan’s National Day, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly sent Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan a greeting message. Imran Khan brought the news to the limelight by tweeting the same on his Twitter page. He said PM Modi told him that it is time for people of the subcontinent to work together for a peaceful and prosperous region, in an atmosphere free of terror and violence.

Imran also quoted that PM Modi is absolutely right and he also wishes to resolve all the pending issues with India. He said the two countries will hopefully create a new relationship based on peace and prosperity. The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has organised events yesterday as Islamabad celebrates the day. But Indian officials reportedly stood outside the Pakistan High Commission and were seen discouraging Indian guests from attending the event. Earlier too, Islamabad has been discouraged to have contacts with the Hurriyat leaders.

Political journalists from Pakistan stated that PM Modi’s greeting message is a great welcoming gesture towards peace. But Former High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, said that it is only a message to remind the terror attacks and no friendly talks are in the mind of Modi. He also added that it is interesting how Imran posted this message but not Modi.

#FeeReimbursement: Manoj Shoots Open Letter

Share

The fee reimbursement row between TDP and Manchu family is turned into big controversy. Yesterday planning commission co-chairman Kutumba Rao issued a press statement claiming that Andhra Pradesh government owes Rs 6.48 crore and rest of the dues were cleared. He also criticized Mohan Babu for politicizing the whole issue.

Reacting to Kutumba Rao’s statements, hero Manchu Manoj has penned an open letter to Kutumba Rao. In the letter Manoj claimed that the government did not clear full amount of first installment of fee reimbursement while very minimal amount is paid as installment and not a penny is paid for the third installment. Regarding the same, an IAS officer had inspected the Sri Vidyaniketan institute in Tirupati and assured that all the dues will be cleared in a week or so. But till date there is no response from the government. According his father and chairman Mohan Babu staged a protest.

Manoj also countered Kutumba Rao’s comments who said when government is reimbursing the fee, from where Mohan Babu is providing free education. “From whatever my father has earned as an actor, with that money, we are offering education to 25 percent students irrespective of caste and religion. If you have any doubts, please do come and check or send tax officials to our institutes. This is an open challenge,” said Manoj.

Rajamouli Approaches Ravi Prakash For Help!

Share

After reading the heading, the name that comes to your mind is quite natural, but we are not talking about him. This is about the Bangalore based collector who is most likely to help director SS Rajamouli in his #RRR.

As the film #RRR takes place in the backdrop of 1920s, Rajamouli is now desiring to use some vintage cars of that era to bring authenticity. Though they will make the far-looking shots in VFX, for close shots, they need the cars. While the Jaipur royal families that usual rent out such cars is said to be quoting high prices, we hear that Rajamouli found another source now.

Dr. Ravi Prakash from Bangalore is known for his 225 vintage cars collection regarding which even many world-renowned car collectors spoke many times. Recently he has given a couple of his cars on rental for many movies including that of Malayalam superhit Bangalore Days. And now, the #RRR team is said to have requested him for a couple of cars.

While the Bangalore based car collector immediately agreed for it, the transportation of these cars from Bangalore to Kolkata (and Pune) is said to be time-consuming nad costly process.

What’s Wrong With Balayya And Nithin?

Share

Other day, two actors have given a major shock to Telugu audiences. They are none other than Nandamuri Balakrishna and young hero Nithin. As the news related to them turned out to be false, many cinema lovers got stunned.

Though Nandamuri Balakrishna is busy in political rallies, his fans got excited regarding a talk that he will be starring in the remake of super hit Tamil film Vikram Vedha that featured Vijay Sethupathi and Madhavan in the leads. Earlier Nagarjuna also tried to get a hand over this project, but finally, a report came in a major newspaper like Eenadu that Balayya and Rajasekhar are doing this remake.

At the same time, all major news dailies including Times Of India have covered extensively about the London based love story project of Nithin, which will be directed by Ramesh Varma of Ride movie fame. While Nithin has tweeted himself indirectly to not believe in any other news except that comes on his social media pages, the original producers of Vikram Vedha released a statement that they haven’t sold rights and Balayya-Rajasekhar news is just fake.

Without these producers and heroes giving any confirmation, one wonders how come big news dailies write about. Reports are coming that the PR teams of these heroes are giving that info to publicize, but later things changed due to internal issues of these stars.

Mahesh Avoids Another Controversy

Share

When a controversy is likely to broke, Superstar Mahesh Babu and his team have made a smart move thereby avoiding all the possible criticism. Like we revealed it already, many fans are actually waiting to see if Mahesh will allow them to have a glimpse of his wax statue for free or not.

As the news spread everywhere that fans who want to pay a visit to this statue should buy AMB Cinemas tickets, Mahesh now found a way to ensure that his fans will get an entry. Already his team is said to be working hard to zero on few fans and invite them to take selfies with the statue.

After Mahesh inaugurates the statue on March 25th, these fans will be given time till 6 pm to take selfies with the wax idol. That way, we have to say that Mahesh has averted a major controversy by making this move, otherwise, he would have got nailed on social media for making huge money out of a wax statue being displayed by Madame Tussauds.

On the other hand, Mahesh is said to be readying the first single from Maharshi for a release on March 29th.

NTR Producer Should Be Careful With Jaya

Share

Seems like this producer has special love for biopics as he is coming up with back to back films that deal with the real-life stories of some celebrities. After making two films on legendary NTR’s life, producer Vishnu Induri is now gearing up for Kapil Dev’s biopic there. Not stopping there, he got another one in his kitty.

Reportedly Vishnu is coming up with Tamil superstar and former CM Jayalalitha’s biopic now. Not stopping there, he has gone on roping in writer Vijayendra Prasad to take care of the screenplay aspect. Then there are consultations going on with Kangana Ranaut now, as he plans to rope her in for Jaya’s role.

Well, while NTR biopic got a perfect casting, the film failed to due to an overpainted drama that tried to hard sell the sugar-coated stuff around the legend, rather sticking to narrating some honest truths. And when it comes to Jayalalitha’s life, it’s tough to showcase anything far from what they like for Tamil audiences. That too with a Telugu writer carving the story and a north lady playing the lead itself is something tamilians can’t digest.

Perhaps that is the reason many are advising Vishnu to be more careful with Jaya as any slight wrong step could lead in a disaster.

#VivekaMurder: YS Sunitha Reaches Telangana Police

23.6 per cent voters in Andhra gave a positive feedback for Modi

Share

Voters in Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Goa are most satisfied with the performance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi while people in Puducherry, Kerala and Tamil Nadu are the least impressed with his work.

While Modi remains the most popular leader in the country in two successive CVOTER-IANS Tracker 2019 opinion polls leaving all his rivals far behind, a state-wise breakdown of the satisfaction level of people with him show that in at least 13 states, more than 50 per cent of the respondents approved of his work.

Jharkhand topped the charts where 74 per cent of the respondents said that they were satisfied with the Modi’s performance, followed by 68.3 per cent in Rajasthan and 66.3 per cent in Goa.

The Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Haryana is next where 65.9 per cent respondents were happy with his work.

Among the states where he scored less than 50 per cent includes Maharashtra (47.9), Assam (47.0), Uttar Pradesh (43.9), West Bengal (43.2) and Jammu and Kashmir (39.6).

At the bottom of the chart is Tamil Nadu where only 2.2 per cent of the respondents said that they were satisfied with the Modi’s performance. Only 7.7 per cent are impressed with his performance in Kerala and 10.7 per cent in Puducherry.

The Congress-ruled Punjab saw only 12.0 per cent of voters approving the Prime Minister’s performance while 23.6 per cent gave a positive feedback in Andhra Pradesh.

What’ll happen if BJP can’t get a majority of its own

Share

Although it is now almost certain that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) – the group of parties led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – will attain a majority in the Lok Sabha in the forthcoming general elections, the question will nevertheless arise whether Narendra Modi will be the Prime Minister since the BJP itself is expected to fall short of a majority of its own.

In that case, it will be a case of so near, yet so far for the BJP since Modi, who was described as “God’s gift to the nation” by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, has been a pivotal figure in the BJP’s rise since 2013-14.

It is his leadership which is expected by the BJP to usher in a Congress-mukt (free) India and enable the saffron party to rule everywhere from panchayats to Parliament for half a century.

The party’s image and political fortune are intertwined, therefore, with that of Modi’s. There has been no other person in the BJP with such a larger-than-life figure.

But if he is seen to falter at the very entrance to the gate of even greater power during an impending second term, it will be hugely disheartening for the party.

It is for this reason that the BJP has been pooh-poohing the idea of the party being unable to get a majority and that it will have to choose someone else to be the Prime Minister since the domineering Modi may not be acceptable to all.

Besides, Modi himself may realise that he is not the ideal person to run a coalition (unlike the amiable Atal Behari Vapayee) since he has never done so in his political career either as the Gujarat Chief Minister or the Prime Minister.

He is also known to be a loner with few friends who is not quite the primus inter pares (first among equals) in the party and the government, where his word is the law.

The BJP’s inability to secure a majority of its own, as most opinion polls including one by a BJP-friendly news channel suggest, can be regarded, therefore, as a direct blow to Modi’s prestige, for it will show that the “wave” which enabled him to win in 2014 was a one-time phenomenon which has receded.

If the “wave” nevertheless appears to have enough oomph to help the NDA cross the halfway mark of 272 Lok Sabha seats, the reason has more to do with the opposition’s failure to get its act together than with the NDA’s political resilience.

But for the ego hassles in the opposition camp which hindered the selection of a leader or the formation of anti-BJP alliances in crucial states or the outlining of a vision, the NDA would have had a hard time reaching the winning post.

Virtually all the opposition leaders – Rahul Gandhi, Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamata Banerjee – are to blame for the failure of the “secular” camp to present a credible challenge to the BJP.

But it is the Congress president who is perhaps most at fauilt since it was up to him, as the leader of a 134-year-old party, to set the trend for advances and retreats in the matter of forming the proposed mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) which never took shape.

The two states where the pattern could have been set were Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, but he let the opportunity slip by an unwarranted display of hubris about contesting all the 80 seats in UP instead of reaching out to Akhilesh Yadav and even the recalcitrant Mayawati.

In Delhi, too, Sheila Dikshit’s suggestion about having no truck with the Aam Aadmi Party should have been ignored. It is probably these failures which alerted the Congress to the need to wrap up at least a few partnerships as has been done with the Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar and the National Conference in Kashmir.

Now, the opposition’s only hope is that the NDA will prove to be a fragile entity, especially if the BJP is unable to get a majority of its own, so that the secularists can fish in troubled waters.

But the outcome will be that the political scene will become murkier with badmouthing opponents becoming even more widely prevalent than at present.

On both counts, therefore, whether it is the BJP’s mission of building a new India after 1,200 years of “slavery” under the Muslims and the British, or the opposition’s hope to “save” the Constitution, the protagonists are likely to bite the dust.

From this aspect, the general elections may prove to be a disappointing experience for all the contestants. They will have to go back to the drawing boards for a restart after examining what went wrong.

For the BJP, it is apparently the failure to bring about the promised “achhe din” (good days) of a buoyant economy and, for the opposition, letting personal ambitions cloud the idea of attaining the goal of defeating the BJP.
