The theatrical trailer of Ram Charan’s ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ will be out tomorrow. At the film’s pre-release event, the trailer will be unveiled. The event will be held at Police Grounds in Yousufguda in Hyderabad on December 27.

A new poster announcing this information was launched. The film’s music jukebox composed by Devi Sri Prasad will also be released tomorrow.Ram Charan has invited Telangana Rastra Samithi’s working president KT Rama Rao as the chief guest.

KTR was the chief guest for Ram Charan’s ‘Dhruva’ event which was also held at the same venue. So, it is hit sentiment for Ram Charan.Incidentally, this is KTR’s first filmy event after his party came back to power for the second term. Ram Charan’s father and Megastar Chiranjeevi will also be sharing the dais with KTR.

Baahubali stars Prabhas and Rana were out of action this year. Prabhas missed two calendar years post Baahubali: The Conclusion.He is making sure to keep the Baahubali stardom intact by making ultra high budget films that cater to National audience. Saaho is set to release on August 15.

Rana Daggubati is out of action post Nene Raju Nene Mantri because of rumored health issues.The young actor is currently busy again with Television shows and movies across many languages.Akkineni Akhil disappointed his fans yet again by not releasing single film this year. His Mr. Majnu is gearing up for January release.

There are a few other veteran and young actors that failed to appear on big screen this year.

SS Rajamouli very daringly participated in the rapid fire round of Koffee with Karan and said that he feels Bollywood stars do not give importance to their fans in choosing scripts like South Indian stars.

He said that South Indian stars are good at balancing while Bollywood stars haven’t been able to do so. Karan promptly agreed to this and that seems to have become a problem for Bollywood actors.

Well, until Baahubali came along not many knew about SSR and his films. But most of the stars have been there for decades.

It is known that the biopic on cricketer Kapil Dev is already on cards. Now, a biopic on former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam is going to be made. Abhishek Agarwal and Tollywood producer Anil Sunkara are planning to release this film in so many Indian languages.

As per the latest reports, the makers have recently approached Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor to play the role of Abdul Kalam in the movie. The actor is yet to take the final call on this project and the official announcement is yet to be made. Though Anil Kapoor has reacted positively to this project, he is willing to discuss the project with the producers again.

The makers are yet to rope in a director for helming this project. If the buzz is to be believed, then Raj Chengappa is preparing the script for the biopic based on the book ‘Weapons of Peace’. If everything goes well then the movie will be launched very soon next year.

Prabhas is looking to always keep his audience satisfied with the kind of films only he can make. While he majorly sticks to action genres, he constantly switches to romantic side too.He decided to change the course after four back to action entertainers – Rebel, Mirchi, Baahubali series and Saaho.

His next after Saaho, started shooting in Europe and it will continue shooting in India after Saaho finishes its schedule in January, it seems. Saaho is expected to release by 15th August and during October, most probably, Prabhas20 in the direction of ‘Jill’ Radhakrishna will release it seems.

The movie has a storyline that follows timeless romantic tales, it seems. A 1960’s Rich Car Manufacturer and marketeer falls for a poor girl. Their love story will have significance even in 2010’s timeline also, it seems.

For this film, Prabhas will appear in two diferent looks and he will slim down further it seems. Pooja Hegde after wrapping up another schedule of Maharishi with Mahesh, will join Prabhas20, it seems.

Pawan Kalyan floated Jana Sena Party without the support of any of his family members. Although he never sought any help from the family, PK’s Mother Anjana Devi, Nagababu and Varun Tej donated solid amount to the party already. They are willing to do much more in future.

Sometimes, even though a heroine stays in touch with her director and hero, she will be reading the news related to their next film on social media and newspapers. That is what happened in the case of Kannada siren Rashmika Mandanna as she is waiting for Nithin’s film to go to floors.

Recently there were rumors everywhere that heroine Rashmika was upset as her dates are getting wasted. She has given bulk dates to Nitin’s next movie, which will be directed by her debut Telugu movie Chalo’s director. But the heroine has no clarity as to why the film is getting delayed.

From thinking that ‘awards’ actually recognize talents, it has come to a situation where ‘awards’ could be bought and later it has fallen to a position where award shows are just some money making stints. Amidst this, even if someone wants to genuinely recognize talents, none is taking note of it.

The likes of Filmfare, SIIMA, IIFA are those quite popular and big awards in South India while the government sponsored Nandi awards are next big things. And other day, we have seen Sobhan Babu Awards being held in Hyderabad, where his fan group Sobhan Babu Seva Samithi wanted to honor talents in Tollywood in the name of the late Telugu star hero.

What speaks more about the awards event is the attendance of stars to it. Other than some retired and about to retire film celebs, the event barely saw the attendance of any big happening star. While most of our big stars have time for their Christmas parties, none graced this awards event, though they are invited by the organizers a week in advance through the PR team.

Telugu star-actor Adivi Sesh, who shot to superstardom with the thriller “Kshanam”, had a favourable year with “Goodachari” returning impressive box office numbers.

He looks back and looks ahead.

Q: It was your birthday on 16th December. How did you spend your big day?

A: It’s the first birthday I’ve gotten to spend with my parents in a long time. They’ve moved to India after living in the US for close to three decades. That’s my biggest accomplishment this year! More than ‘Goodachari’, convincing my parents to come live with me!

Q. 2018 was a watershed year for you how do you look at the progress you made this year?

A. The credibility that comes with the perception of success is something I cherish. I’ve lived with the idea of ‘Goodachari’ for fourteen years and the film itself was in the making for a little under two years. Of course, its always nice when a movie succeeds at the box office so beautifully. ‘Kshanam’ 2016, ‘Ami Tumi’ 2017, ‘Goodachari’ 2018…. each year, it’s been nice to be part a film that has done well. On a separate note, I don’t take success or failure too seriously.

Q. Did you find it tough to break in and when you did was it tough to convince the industry about your language of expression?

A. It was tough to find the credibility to become a lead actor. That didn’t happen until late 2015. But as an actor, my big break came in 2011 with my second film, ‘Panjaa’. A lot of people in the trade told me that I became a leading man of sorts in 2015, and ‘Kshanam’ cemented that. I never took all that too seriously anyway. I always thought that growing up in different countries would’ve been my asset. And it has been, when writing a story. As a person living here, I’ve always felt like a square peg in a round hole. I still do.

Q. Goodachari was a smash did you expect it to be such a success?

A. It’s become my career’s biggest hit and I’m very proud of the work we put in. I’d always hoped and dreamt that it would be a huge success. That’s exactly what happened. And now, a franchise is born. I couldn’t be happier.

Q. ‘Arjun Reddy’ , ‘Bahubali’, ‘Goodachari’… is Telugu cinema going through a process of radical genesis?

A. I feel that the new wave started sometime in 2014. People’s ideas started changing. The kinds of concepts being discussed in Hyderabad were a little different. ‘Baahubali’ was being made. For people to write these movies, start putting them together and release them, the public started seeing the fruit of that around 2015 or 2016. I’m proud to have been in Telugu cinema’s new wave with two of my films. ‘Kshanam’ and ‘Goodachari’.

For a big star like Ram Charan to agree to his character in ‘Rangasthalam’ is incredible, and speaks volumes about how creatively inclined the movie business has become, top to bottom. Commercially as well, the last few years have been phenomenal for the Telugu movie business and that is entirely because of ‘Baahubali’, it revived a culture of proud movie-going, for the Telugu people. What Bhangra is to Punjabis, cinema has become that – for the Telugu people. I’m Proud to be told that we are the most profitable movie business in India.

Q. Your career changing film ‘Kshanam’ was made into Hindi as ‘Baaghi 2’ . What did you think of the remake?

A. To this day, I haven’t seen Baaghi 2. I haven’t gotten around to it, maybe because it’s not really mine. But I’m told by a lot of Telugu folk who’ve seen ‘Kshanam’, that ‘Baaghi 2’ isn’t their cup of tea. But then, Telugu audiences will always pick Mahesh(Babu) Sir’s ‘Pokhiri’ over Salman’s ‘Wanted’. They’ll always pick the original.

Regardless, I respect that ‘Baaghi 2’ has become so successful. It’s not that I’m being diplomatic about Baaghi 2. I just don’t feel anything personal toward it.

Q. What are your plans vis-a-vis Bollywood? Or do you believe better to be the lion in your own jungle?

A. I’ll be working on my debut Bollywood film in 2019. I’m quite proud of that project and will announce it in due course. I am essentially the product of my experience and my exposure isn’t limited to the Telugu states. I’d love to tell stories that are pan -Indian or even international.

Q. Tell me about your forthcoming projects?

A. I’m reuniting with the producer of ‘Kshanam’ for a pulpy thriller, it’s nice to just be an actor and do something exciting. ‘Goodachari 2’ is on the cards and so is an untitled war film. They’re ambitious films. G2 will be huge. We are working very hard to exceed the expectations of G1. We are currently working on the scripts of both G2 and the War film.

I’m not really looking toward direction as a career step. I intend on doing it sporadically whenever a story speaks to me in a way that I feel that I should be the only one that tells that story. Besides, I feel that I’m a better actor than director.

Megapowerstar Ram Charan’s upcoming movie ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ needs a big boost up compared to the other Sankranthi releases.

Audience have already set their eyes on ‘NTR’ biopic which is based on an iconic personality of Telugu cinema. On the other hand, ‘F2 – Fun & Frustration’ has entertainment factor in its favour. The teaser played a crucial role in grabbing the attention and we know what will be the result if the comedy works out.

But ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ is a typical commercial entertainer. The teaser and two songs have not succeeded in generating enough hype for the movie so far. From Thursday the promotions of the film are going to kick-start with the pre-release event.

Megastar Chiranjeevi will grace the event as chief guest and audience, especially the Mega fans are eager to watch Chiru’s speech. Generally the fans will come to a conclusion based on Chiru’s speech and on many occasions his prediction did not go wrong.

And Chiru who has the habit of watching the rushes of all Charan movies, might have already watched at least couple of episodes of ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama.’ So the entire speech of Megastar will be based on this and what will he say is something going to be interesting.
