Now that elections to Andhra Pradesh assembly along with the Lok Sabha polls are just four to five months away, Bharatiya Janata Party is planning to go all out to decimate Telugu Desam Party, though it has little stakes in the state.

As part of the strategy, BJP is roping in Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address a massive public meeting on January 6 at the Bible Mission grounds in front of Nagarjuna University in Guntur district, which is closer to Naidu’s power centre at Amaravati.

It was at the same venue on March 14 that power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan held a public meeting, where he declared a war against the Chandrababu Naidu government.

Though initially it was decided to hold the meeting in East Godavari district, it was changed to Guntur because BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana suggested it for his own political reasons and also to throw a challenge to Naidu closer to his power centre.

The place is also centrally located to enable the party to mobilise enough crowds.

Apparently, Modi is serious about attacking Naidu on the latter’s home turf, because Naidu had challenged his leadership by holding a meeting of all the non-BJP political parties in New Delhi.

Modi will not only explain the assistance given by the Centre to the state, but would also expose the failure of the Naidu government in utilizing central funds and in running the administration.

“Modi shall give a fitting reply to Naidu who had taken a U-turn on issues like Special Category Status to AP and attacking the Centre on alleged non-implementation of provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act. He would also expose Naidu’s ill-intentions in preventing the CBI from conducting probes into the financial irregularities in the state,” a BJP leader said.

After Modi’s meeting, the state BJP leaders would take out a bus yatra to explain the people about the failures of the Naidu government.

“Even national BJP president Amit Shah would also be visiting Andhra Pradesh subsequently,” the leader said.

Pawan Kalyan always pitches himself as most patriotic politician in India. His Twitter handle’s Bio also carry this: “Jai Hind !!”

However, his knowledge about our freedom fighters seems to be very limited. The other day in Dallas in USA, Pawan Kalyan stated that Bhagat Singh committed suicide at the age of 23. This was grave mistake that Pawan Kalyan attempted in his speech

Bhagat Singh, considered as the most influential revolutionary in Indian Independence movement, was given the death penalty by the British colonisers.

He was only 23 years old when he was hanged. His death inspired hundreds to take up the cause of the freedom movement.

Where as Pawan Kalyan termed it as suicide. Bhagat Singh is often called Shaheed Bhagat Singh, a martyr.

Pawan Kalyan is being trolled and criticized by Netizens for his poor knowledge about Indian Independence movement. Perhaps, it was tongue of the slip but he should have corrected it but he didn’t.

Even before the people living in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh could forget the devastating Cyclone Titli, the Cyclone Phethai has gripped them in fear. IMD officials predicted that Phethai will make the landfall in the Yanam-Tuni coastline this afternoon.

Currently, Phethai is centred in the East-West direction of the Bay of Bengal, some 270 kms from Kakinada. Due to the pressure in the Bay of Bengal, there are chances of huge winds at a speed of 90 to 110 kmph. However, Phethai, which is travelling at 28 kmph at the moment, is expected to weaken slightly before its landfall.

Cyclone Phethai will show its impact on 7 districts along the coast. Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari, Krishna and Nellore district officials have been alerted. Schools in several highly alerted areas will remain closed on Monday. Relief and rehabilitation centres have been setup in case of emergency.

Chandrababu Naidu keeps updating himself. In a fresh, he has wowed one and all with Tamil speech. Naidu, who attended the inauguration of Karunanidhi’s statue at DMK HQ in Chennai, addressed the large gathering in Tamil.

Crowds, who also has Telugu population, were stunned by this unprecedented move. And it is not just a line or so, Naidu has spoken in Tamil for a considerable time. He has heaped praises on late Karunanidhi and that instantly got applause from DMK leaders, party workers and locals.

As Naidu was addressing in Tamil, even Sonia, Rahul, Stalin, Pinarayi Vijayan were all seen at his speech in a awe. The people gathered too clapped and supported Naidu’s speech. Chandrababu expressed his wish to learn Tamil and he said the language has close similarities with Telugu.

With each passing day, the Andhra politics are heating up as the general elections are fast approaching. In what can be seen at a blow to Chandrababu Naidu, two prominent TDP leaders are all set to join the YSRCP.

Former TDP MLA Anna Rambabu and Madduluri Malakondaiah Yadav are likely to join YS Jagan in the coming days. Incidentally, Anna Rambabu, a Vysya leader in the Giddaluru assembly constituency in Prakasam district has decided to join the YSRCP after finding that his chances of getting a TDP ticket in 2019 are bleak. Rambabu had announced that he will join the YSRCP in the last week of December.

On the other hand, Madduluri had been actively taking part in Jagan’s Padayatras for the last few weeks. He had contested in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Chirala on a TDP ticket and was defeated. He is expected to play a key role in the 2019 elections as his constituency has over 30,000 Yadav votes. Meanwhile, the YSRCP high command is hopeful that more TDP leaders will migrate to the YSRCP in the next 2 months.

Pawan Kalyan, who has been dreaming to become the next Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has received a rude shock in form of KCR, KTR, and Owaisi. Although Pawan has not been openly vocal about his love for TRS, Pawan indirectly supported TRS in Telangana elections. In fact, many of his fans, people in the Kapu community and Janasena followers have got instructions to support TRS in the Telangana polls. As directed by Pawan, his fans, followers and Janasena leaders in Telangana have supported Pink Party.

Here is the big twist. After winning with a thumping majority, TRS and MIM have stated that they would support YS Jagan in Andhra Pradesh. This is definitely a big shock to Pawan Kalyan who has been equi-vocal against both Naidu and Jagan. In fact, Pawan is attacking Jagan more than Chandrababu. Even Jagan has been targeting Pawan and criticizing personally. Amidst war between Jagan and Pawan, KCR and KTR supporting Jagan is a big shock to Pawan for sure.
