Well, apart from the graphics team, they have to thank the ‘birdie’ Akshay for 2.0’s positive talk and as his looks and performance were on par and more to that of Rajini in many scenes.

Here is yet another unseen look of Akshay Kumar with a bird and a cell phone. While one can relate to this picture after watching the film, Akshay Kumar’s hard work for different looks and hours of effort on makeup seems to have paid off.

Modi’s Speech in Telangana Is Disaster and Why?

Share

Narendra Modi is not just a tall leader from BJP, but he is the Prime Minister of the country. Yet, Modi had not lived up to his stature when he had visited Telangana for BJP’s political campaign. Here are Modi’s top Five Mistakes in his speech during the election campaign in Telangana.

1. Raising about political roots of KCR, Modi had courted a self-goal. Accusing that KCR had done his apprentice from Congress and TDP , Modi comfortably forgot where BJP’s AP chief Kanna Lakshminarayana and Purandeswari came from.

Hasn’t Kanna come from Sonia and YSR’s school? And what about Daggubati Purandeswari who had served as Union Minister for 10 long years in Sonia’s UPA. Not just AP, BJP leaders who are in top positions today in several states were from Congress and other political rivals.

2. Pariwar? Alleging KCR of family rule, Modi has goofed up. While his party at the Centre might not be having dynasty politics, but BJP in several states is encouraging dynasty politics.

Not a month long ago in the Karnataka by-polls, BJP had fielded Yeddyurappa’s son Raghavendra from Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency. And in coming Assembly elections in Rajasthan, several BJP tickets have been given to family members and kin of the leaders from BJP and other political parties. In Madhya Pradesh too, BJP fielded kin of senior leaders of the party.

3. By targeting KCR mainly, Modi has really helped Congress and TDP combo. As the polls in Telangana are seen as referendum on KCR’s 4.5 year rule, whoever speaks against KCR would eventually benefit his nearest rival Congress. Also, not to forget that KCR could help BJP in the coming Lok Sabha elections. Since KCR cannot support Congress at the Centre, he has no other option left but to support BJP. By criticizing KCR badly, Modi has done a blunder of sorts.

4. Stating that TRS and Congress are playing “friendly match” in Telangana, Modi has done a major political blunder. While the fight between TRS and Congress is intense, Modi’s statement is evoking laughs even from commoners. If the battle between KCR and Congress is friendly, then the battle between BJP and Congress at the Centre could also be called “friendly”. Isn’t it?

5. Modi’s speech at Mahabubnagar is also under fire from locals. Modi had questioned KCR that why Mahabubnagar is facing drought situation despite two major rivers Krishna and Tungabhadra passing through the district. Modi also questioned why Palamuru is facing shortage of water. Yet again, it’s a goof-up from Modi.

Back in 2014 during poll campaign, then Opposition leader in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj, had promised that Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project would get National Irrigation Project status. Then why didn’t BJP accord any National status to any irrigation project in Telangana.

Top guns blazing as campaigning peaks in Telangana

Hyderabad: Campaigning in Telangana for the December 7 Assembly elections has reached a crescendo with top guns of major parties hitting the roads.

With less than a week to go for the electioneering to end, ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and opposition Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and others intensified their campaign.

Addressing rallies and conducting road shows, top leaders of the major parties were trying to woo the voters by highlighting the promises made in their respective party manifestos and targeting their rivals.

While Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao was already on a whirlwind tour, addressing at least half-a-dozen rallies every day, the national leaders of Congress and BJP also plunged into the electioneering.

A day after their joint campaign, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday campaigned separately for the candidates of ‘People’s Front’.

While Rahul Gandhi addressed three public meetings at Bhupalapally, Armoor and Pargi, Naidu conducted road shows in Hyderabad. Standing atop his special bus, Naidu addressed the gatherings at five places in constituencies in and around the city.

Burying their 37-year-old rivalry, Congress and TDP have joined hands along with Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and Communist Party of India (CPI) to form ‘People’s Front’.

Rahul Gandhi and Naidu shared the dais at their first election rally at Khammam on Wednesday. They later conducted road shows in Hyderabad.

Continuing his whirlwind tours across the state, Chandrashekhar Rao addressed public meetings in Adilabad district on Thursday. Targeting Congress, TDP and BJP, he urged people to give fresh mandate to TRS so that it can continue its good work to make Telangana a “golden state”.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh addressed BJP’s election rallies in Nagarkurnool, Zaheerabad and Wanaparthy. BJP’s general secretaries Ram Madhav and Muralidhar Rao also campaigned for the party on Thursday.

On his second leg of campaigning in Telangana, BJP president Amit Shah had addressed a public meeting in Adilabad on Wednesday and later conducted road show in Hyderabad.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two election rallies of BJP at Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar on Tuesday.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati also addressed a few public meetings in the state during last two days. The BSP has fielded candidates in some constituencies.

The elections for 119-member Assembly are scheduled on December 7. TRS and BJP are contesting all seats on their own. Congress has fielded candidates in 94 constituencies, leaving 13 for TDP and the remaining for other allies.

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) is contesting eight seats in Hyderabad but is backing TRS in other constituencies.

Collector reveals the cost of each vote in Telangana

Share

In a shocking revelation about cash distribution for votes in the upcoming Telangana elections, Akunuri Murali, director of State Archives Department who was district collector of Jayashankar Bhupalapally, said that his relatives with a family of three voters were given Rs. 15,000 by a political party.

As elections in Telangana near, many cases of cash stash being seized are coming to light everyday. Currently, the money spent on one vote in Telangana is Rs 10,000, he said, adding that the amount being spent by a political party for every voter has increased manifoldly.

On the other hand, Murali expressed his discontent at the way money is being distributed in Telangana. Stating that he had lot of expectations on the Telangana government after the creation of a separate Telangana state, he added that the TRS government’s talk of development is all bogus and it has disappointed people.

In 2014 elections, United Andhra Pradesh witnessed Rs. 154 crore distributed to voters. However, the amount of unaccounted cash distributed in 2014 is still not known. This shows that bribing voters for elections has become the new normal during every election season. Political observers say that this time it could be much higher as the amount spent on single vote has increased drastically.

Rakul’s Epic Answer On ‘Big Four In Tollywood’

Share

The big four of Telugu film industry are always in news for something or the other reason. Many claim that they control the entire industry but whenever this issue comes into picture, none can stand till the end.

Though the big four don’t need any backing, it got an unwanted support from a top heroine and she is Rakul Preet Singh. At International Film Festival of India (IFFI) held in Goa, Rakul took part in a panel discussion and a Telugu origin Goan resident had asked about the big four and claimed that it has become like a mafia.

In reply, Rakul accepted that Tollywood is being dominated by four because their presence has been in the industry for decades. But there is also scope for newcomers with absolutely no background. Rakul cited the example of Vijay Deverakonda who is currently a crazy hero.

Defending the big four, she added that only if one is able to deliver great work, they can sustain for generations together.

Rahul Gandhi Calls KCR ‘Khao Commission Rao’

Share

Bhupalpally/Nizamabad: Calling Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao “Khao Commission Rao”, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday lambasted him for enriching his family at the cost of Telangana, and promised all-round development if the Congress-led Peoples Front won the Assembly elections.

Addressing successive rallies, Gandhi simultaneously targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and KCR for crony capitalism and denying rights and protection to tribals and farmers.

He asserted the Congress-led coalition will first dethrone the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the state and then the Modi regime in Delhi.

“KCR’s only job has been to rename old Congress projects only by enhancing their costs, and getting commission for himself and his family. KCR stands for Khao Commission Rao,” said Gandhi addressing a rally in Nizamabad.

Pointing to how “KCR supported and endorsed all moves” of Modi and the BJP-RSS, including demonetisation, Gandhi said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi party should rename itself to “T-RSS” to reflect “its bond with the RSS”.

“KCR’s only aim is to ensure his family rules Telangana and Modi rules in Delhi. But time is up for both,” asserted Gandhi.

Addressing another rally in Bhupalpally of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, Gandhi said: “Modi at the Centre and KCR in the state diluted laws meant to protect tribal lands.

“The result is tribal land is being snatched away for industrialists without proper compensation. Despite having so much land and forest, tribals here have no protection and their rights are consistently being trampled upon.”

Accusing KCR of plunging Telangana into debts, Gandhi said: “When he became the Chief Minister, Telangana was at a surplus of Rs 17,000 crore but today it is reeling under debts of over Rs 2.5 lakh crore.

“On one hand KCR is burdening every family with debts, on the other hand his son’s income has grown by over 400 per cent,” said Gandhi, referring to K.T. Rama Rao’s annual income that has increased from Rs 29 lakh in 2014 to around Rs 74 lakh in 2018.

Claiming that over 4,500 farmers committed suicide during the KCR regime, Gandhi pledged to cancel farm loans to the tune of Rs 2 lakh each and also promising minimum support price (MSP) for 17 crops, including Rs 2,000 for paddy, Rs 7,000 for cotton and Rs 10,000 for chillies.

He also promised setting up of 30-bed hospitals in every subdivision and giving Rs 5 lakh to eligible families to build houses. He assured the setting up of a tribal university in the state and preventing the privatisation of the Singareni coal mines.

Besides doubling old-age pension to Rs 2,000, he also promised providing Rs 3,000 as unemployment allowance and jobs to one lakh youth.

Ridiculing KCR for not fulfilling the promise of building 22 lakh houses, Gandhi said it was time for the TRS chief to take rest in his “Rs 300 crore” house and let the Congress-led coalition work for the state.

Besides the Congress and Telegu Desam Party, the Communist Party of India (CPI) and Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) are constituents of the People’s Front.

Elections to the 119-member Assembly are scheduled for December 7.

CM Yogi calls Lord Hanuman a Dalit

Share

It is well-known fact that the Bharatiya Janata Party has harped on religious sentiments to win voters. In a new twist to its religious politics, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath who is a prominent leader in the BJP, spoke at a rally in Rajasthan’s Alwar and made some controversial statements.

Speaking to BJP Karyakartas in Alwar district, he said: “Hanuman was was a forest dweller, deprived and a Dalit. Despite being a Dalit, he worked to unit all Indian communities together, irrespective of the Geography or region. This was his determination to fulfil Lord Ram’s wish. Like him, we too should not rest until our wish is fulfilled.”

Additionally, he said that people of “Alwar district are Ram Bhakts and hence, should not vote for Ravana (Congress).” These comments have raked up a row among political parties and the Congress has alleged that BJP’s divisive tactics will do more harm to people. On the other hand, several Brahmin communities from across the country have condemned Yogi’s remarks and said that it is shameful to listen to such statements from Uttar Pradesh CM who is getting political mileage out of religious figures.

Recently, Yogi landed in other controversies when he stated during Diwali that he will construct a Statue of Ram taller than that of Sardar Patel’s Statue of Unity. He has also recently renamed Faizabad district’s name to Ayodhya and landed in trouble for unnecessarily disturbing communal harmony in the state.

Going by UP CM’s recent remarks and controversies, it is evident that BJP is trying to use its “divide and conquer” strategy on voters. It would be better if BJP chooses to focus on the development rather than practising divisive politics that will divide the country further!
