Last night, suddenly a tweet has come from legendary actor Kamal Hasaan and it is about Vijay’s recent blockbuster hit ‘Sarkaar’ movie. But one wonders what made the legend respond now with a tweet when he is silent during the peak of issue couple of weeks earlier.

‘Sarkar has been certified by CBFC. Yet Government dares to muffle the right of people to express. This is not a democracy. Fascism was defeated before, will be done again’, tweeted Kamal Haasan, in support of the film. Actually, Kamal extended his support to the film in November first week but later when AR Murugadoss escaped arrest, the legend went silent.

Reports are coming that actually Murugadoss, who has applied for anticipatory bail, has faced tough questions in Tamilnadu high court from the public prosecutor representing AIADMK government when the case came for hearing. The Government-lawyer is said to have asked Murugadoss to give a written statement confirming that he will not criticize government policies in his next films, for which the director said no.

After coming to know about these things, we hear that Kamal Haasan has responded on the fiasco yet again in this way. We have to say what AIADMK cadres will now say to him.

An interesting thing has happened recently in Film Nagar, and the fans of this chubby heroine are worried about her prospects now. Here goes that snippet on heroine Mehreen Pirzada who is yet to score her maiden super hit.

Though Mehreen is right now paired with Varun Tej in the upcoming ‘Fun and Frustration’, we hear that she has upset mega khandan now. Actually, she is part of a film that has Sudheer Babu in the lead, and Puli Vasu (TV serials fame) in the director’s seat. But with Sudheer leaving that project for unknown reasons, Chiru’s son-in-law Kalyaan Dhev took it.

Surprisingly after Kalyan Dhev’s entry, Mehreen also walked out of the project and said to be readying to give back the advance to the producer. If this is anything to go by, then we have to say that she might upset mega biggies. If those mega biggies are upset, surely she will not get another chance or breakthrough into that compound, they say.

We have to see what will Mehreen react on this rumour, provided the fact that her exit seems to have got confirmed from the film.

Sensible director Sekhar Kammula always prefers newcomers and the actors he introduced have made a good name for themselves and turned big stars too. For his upcoming movie, Sekhar has once again opted for fresh faces.

As per the sources, the ‘Fidaa’ director has zeroed upon a Telugu speaking girl. This lady hails from Vijayawada and is said to be a classical dancer. Generally, the female leads in Sekhar Kammula films are author backed and are very strong in nature. And Sekhar too picks the actress wisely, so basing on all aspects, he selected this young Telugu girl. For now her identity is yet to be revealed.

Also the hero of the film is a newcomer and with the pre-production and finalizing the cast is nearing a completion, the shooting is due to start from December first week.

Touted to be a romantic entertainer, the untitled movie is being produced by Sunil Narang.

ANR once opined that an actor who has better skills can survive while the lot with just ‘backing’ will have to leave the arena sooner. Though many thought that hero Sumanth from Akkineni compound belongs to the mentioned ‘lot’, he proved himself otherwise with concept-oriented films.

Long gaps made him lose to younger heroes, but Sumanth is slowly getting at it again with films like Malli Raava, an average fare which was appreciated by many, yet failed to attract the audience. His new film Subramanyapuram too looks promising with intriguing trailer. Coming to his other important film NTR biopic, Sumanth is playing his grandfather ANR’s role and he already got full marks as best fit to appear as ANR.

When NTR biopic is expected to get a special identity for Sumanth in ANR’s role and recognition among present generation, many are advising him to wait for this biopic to come out to theaters before his other films do. As NTR biopic has a large release and Sumanth as ‘Akkineni’ is sure to get a better reach after release, letting his films Idam Jagat and Subramanyapuram out to theaters after ‘NTR’, should be a good move to attract more audience. Well, let us wait to see how Sumanth uses the advantage of playing a legend in an eminent biopic!

Director Vikram K Kumar’s films will have certain connect that impresses one section of audiences a lot. Say it Manam, or 24 or Hello, some audiences loved them to the core and his screenplay is a big binding factor. But still, he is rejected by two happening Telugu heroes.

Firstly we have hero Allu Arjun who worked with Vikram for several months on the script and finally decided to call off the film. And then, the Tamil director was supposed to work with Nani, but that too didn’t materialize. Some insiders revealed that the second half is the key behind these happenings.

Actually, Vikram is quite hesitant to change the second half of the story which is sounding paler and less intensified. Because many films get choked at the box office due to the second half syndrome, and that’s where Bunny and Nani are said to have asked the director to make changes.

Right now, Vikram is said to be waiting for that hero who will work on this story without asking to change the second half.

The remake of Tamil film ’96’ is a hot discussion in the Tollywood circles. Leading producer ‘Dil’ Raju has acquired the remake rights and wants a star hero to feature in it.

With this best contacts, Raju asked heroes like Allu Arjun, Sharwanand and Nani. Though all the three heroes liked the story and film, somehow they could not connect to it and declined to do the remake.

After considering many names, ‘Dil’ Raju has knocked the doors of Macho Hero Gopichand. Not to face yet another disappointment, the producer had asked Gopichand to watch the film first and then take a call.

A special screening of ’96’ will be hosted for Gopichand and then it’s all in his hands.
