Comment: Charan Takes Things Seriously!
At a time when sons and daughters of big stars failed to recreate any magic on silver screen, his success as the successor of Megastar Chiranjeevi is all the worth in gold. And One of the most kept secrets, which actually helped him in becoming the kind of person he is now, is this.
Ram Charan has this habit of taking things very seriously. When he was commented as an average dancer after he loosed out legs at a family event, he took that ‘seriously’ and became a stunning dancer now. And then, when is blasted by media for his anger and aggressiveness at press meets, he took that ‘seriously’ and today he is the most humble star ever.
When they said his acting is limited, he took that very ‘seriously’ and has taken his acting prowess to next level with Rangasthalam. Unfazed by any external pressures or forces, he signed a multi-starrer with NTR, because he took Rajamouli very ‘seriously’.
And we are seeing many celebrities donning Ayyappa Deeksha these days, and mega heroes like Chiranjeevi, Nagababu and Charan are regulars. Guess what, Ram Charan takes this Deeksha also very seriously and he is not wearing chappals anywhere even if the walking track is uneven. Whether it is walking on the rugged terrains of #RRR sets or going to his sister Sreeja’s baby shower event, he didn’t put anything on his feet, staying true to the Deeksha.
Seriously, Ram Charan is one book that many can read and learn.
No Polls, Only Trolls for Bandla!
It is not an exaggeration to say that many trollers on social media are waiting for Bandla Ganesh’s new interview. Bandla Ganesh turned a laughing stock, thanks to his interviews after joining Congress. Right from his ‘oath’ to recent funny pun criticism on KCR, seem to have made zero political mileage for him.
With polls ahead and seat sharing within Mahakutami being the toughest part, he was kept aside from polls this time and above that, he is designated as the official spokesperson of Telangana Congress. With all the Hungama he made and now being kept at bay for polls, he turned favorite for trollers and is keeping them busy all the time.
Funny side apart, many feel that Bandla Ganesh should have stayed with Pawan Kalyan instead of shaking hands with Congress. Though he belongs to Congress now, Bandla openly ruled out criticizing Pawan Kalyan in any way. Had he joined Janasena, his options to praise and campaign for Pawan Kalyan could have been much more energetic and sensible? Being a Pawan fan himself and joining Congress distanced him from Pawan Kalyan and Janasena fans for good.
And if he had joined Janasena, Pawan might have given a chance to Bandla to contest from somewhere. Well, it looks like Bandla Ganesh has to do the talking part for more time.
Jumping Again! Krishnam Raju needs to rethink
Actor-turned politician Krishnam Raju is a leader who doesn’t make many media appearances with respect to his political career. The BJP leader who served as a former Union Minister, had a strong base in Narsapuram constituency. His popularity in Narsapuram won him an MP ticket.
Currently, political circles are rife with speculations that Krishnam Raju’s wife Syamala Devi may contest from Narasapuram constituency from Jana Sena Party. Given that Jana Sena is building its cadre in the Godavari districts, this family is trying its luck there.
The party-hopping, political observers believe, might not work for Krishnam Raju’s family. Going by the history of Krishnam Raju’s pattern of contesting, when he had shifted to Praja Rajyam and contested, he lost his hold. Similarly, it was heard that he lost the Tamil Nadu Governor’s post because he wasn’t loyal to the BJP and jumped from one party to another. Now, by coming back to the BJP, he is slowly regaining his supporters’ confidence.
At such a time, ff he chooses to field his wife from Jana Sena, which is a new party in Andhra Pradesh, this step could not only affect his career but also put all his future opportunities in jeopardy. It would be wise for Krishnam Raju to first show consistency in sticking to a single party than going party-hopping!
Deverakonda Lays Hand On Allu Arvind, Team Upset?
For his swag, style and semblance, young hero Vijay Devarakonda is quickly scaling heights in Telugu Film Industry. Thanks to some of the unique subjects he has chosen for his film, which sets him apart from the crowd and made him a dependable box office hero.
Other day with positive reviews coming up and positive talk flowing everywhere, the unit of Vijay Devarkonda’s Taxiwala conducted an immediate press-meet where the likes of director Maruthi, producers Bunny Vasu and SKN and others attended. While everyone is busy taking credits for the movie’s success, here is another backstage thing that has upset the unit.
Apparently, Vijay is standing next to ‘legendary’ Allu Arvind, and while posing for a photograph he has actually wrapped his hand around the veteran producer’s shoulder. We hear that Taxiwala’s core team is upset with that act and they have asked Vijay to slow down.
But the hero is said to have told them that Arvind is like his dad and resting his hand on his shoulder shows the affection but nothing else.
Can She Become The Next Busy Starlet?
After the likes of Ileana and Kajal ruled the roost in Tollywood, Samantha is the only starlet to rise to the pinnacle, while other starlets failed to acquire that star status. Since then, many are trying to get on top of their game and win the crown.
The likes of Sai Pallavi, Anupama, Raashi Khanna and others are struggling to become big stars, while Rakul Preet, Pooja Hegde and Kiara Advani are en route to become one. And then, we have some other hotties like Mehrene, Anu Emmanuel have done a decent number of films but a hit is eluding them.
Cut to our topic, can this Telugu girl Priyanka Jawalkar become that big starlet in Tollywood? She has done some impressive performance in Taxiwala movie, though the premise for her is limited. And then we have her flaunting glamour at all the press meets of the movie.
Some say that she should focus on trimming her weight, as she seems to be already near the border. As long as appearance looks hot and personality impressive, one will have all the chances to become a star heroine.
Richa is shining gold in this first poster of Shakeela!
Just a few days ago, the makers of one of the most anticipated biopics of 2019 released the logo of the film with a controversial tag line, ‘Not A Porn Star’ clearly emphasising the perspective of the film.‘Shakeela’ is based on the life of the Southern actress of the same name, whose popularity soared after the untimely and tragic demise of Silk Smitha.
Even though she was known primarily for her roles in adult films, her phenomenal success made her several enemies and said to have caused ripples in the male dominated industry of the time. She was an unlikely superstar whose films were translated into foreign languages like Chinese and Russian in her prime. Her box office was often responsible for helping cinema halls survive in B and C towns in the South.
The first look poster of the film which has the impeccable actress, Richa Chadha playing the titular lead has been released.Covered in authentic gold jewellery, which is a staple element of glamour in Kerala, Richa looks convincing as Shakeela Khan.
Interestingly the actress stands defiant in the face of the insults that are scribbled on the wall behind her.The slurs refer to her skin colour, body and religious faith along with some obscene illustrations that have been scratched out.Looks like the director Indrajit Lankesh is cautious and doesn’t want to be accused of ‘whitewashing’ the truth as had happened in the case of a recent blockbuster. Despite it all, Shakeela meets your eye, looking into the lens with confidence.
The film which has been produced by Magic Cinemas and Yoddhas Entertainment is now all set to release in Summer 2019.

A Hat-trick of Disasters – Forgettable Year
2018 turned out to be a nightmarish one for Mass Maharaja who suffered a hat-trick of disasters. All of his 2018 releases turned out to be outright duds at the box office. It started with Touch Chesi Chudu, which looked like an out and out commercial entertainer prior to its release.
However, it ended up as a boring fare and eventually became one of the biggest flops in the actor’s career.Nela Ticket that released in summer couldn’t capitalize on the season advantage due to disastrous content.Kalyan Krishna who scored back to back hits with Soggade Chinni Nayana and Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam messed it up in his third attempt at direction. Nela Ticket also collected more or less the same as Touch Chesi Chudu.
Despite back to back disasters, Raviteja raised hopes with Amar Akbar Anthony that looked promising from the outset. But director Sreenu Vaitla who is totally out of form lately has made a film that couldn’t impress at all.Amar Akbar Anthony’s dismal show on Saturday and Sunday makes it clear that the film is heading for a massive flop. After bouncing back with Raja The Great last year, Raviteja’s career graph has taken a nose-dive this year.
Mass Maharaja should be very careful with his choice of scripts and needs to bounce back very strong ASAP.
‘My producers felt I won’t be able to act in films’
Actor Akshay Kumar did lots of action films during the initial part of his career as his producers and directors thought that he won’t be able to act in their films.”Till today I have done around 135-140 films and in the initial part of my career I did only action films because my producers and directors used to feel that I will not be able to do acting, so they only made me action in their films,” Akshay said.
Akshay further added that after doing action films, he started to feature in different kind of genres.
“Slowly, I started doing comedy and romantic films then I started doing socially relevant films,” he said while speaking at the panel discussion titled as ‘Universal access to sanitation’ as a brand ambassador of Harpic on the eve of World Toilet Day here on Monday.
The actor has won National Film Award in 2017 which is considered as highest award in India in the field of acting for his combined brilliant performances in “Rustom” and “Airlift”.

Buzz: Varun Tej Turns Villain For Gabbar Singh?
Here is an interesting gossip that is making rounds in film circles at the moment.Varun Tej who is riding high on the success of Fidaa and Tholi Prema has shown interest to essay the antagonist role in an upcoming film.
Gabbar Singh director Harish Shankar is currently in plans to remake Tamil cult hit Jigarthanda in Telugu.Tamil film directed by Pizza fame Karthik Subbaraj featured Siddharth and Bobby Simha in lead roles. Harish is reportedly looking for an actor who has hero image to play the negative role in it.
According to the buzz, Varun Tej is keen to take up the challenge. However, neither Varun nor Harish has confirmed the news.Interestingly, Jigarthanda was dubbed into Telugu as Chikkadu Dorakadu, but went unnoticed. It was regarded as one of the finest dark comedies ever made in Indian cinema. So with perfect star cast and hype the remake has potential to work at the box office.
Perhaps this is the reason why Harish Shankar is looking to rope in Varun Tej for the negative role.
