It is said that Chandrababu Naidu is determined to defeat Talasani Srinivas Yadav in Sanathnagar as latter had betrayed TDP by defecting to TRS after winning as TDP candidate in 2014 polls. Therefore TDP supremo has personally discussed with Congress president Rahul Gandhi and ensured that Sanathnagar constituency is allotted to TDP, as part of alliance.
The reason for Chandrababu’s special focus on Sanathnagar is, he had given the seat to Talasani then in 2014, though it is not Srinivas Yadav’s traditional constituency. As Srinivas Yadav feared defeat in his native constituency Secunderabad then and requested Babu to give Sanathanagar, TDP president had obliged to Yadav’s request and gave him Sanathnagar seat.
Chandrababu had even shifted a senior and sincere leader like Kuna Venkatesh Goud in 2014 polls from Sanathnagar to Secunderabad, to accommodate Talasani. But forgetting all this, Talasani has betrayed TDP and shifted to TRS. He has even personally criticised Chandrababu on many occasions. Now Chandrababu wants to teach a lesson to ungrateful Talasani and do justice to Kuna Venkatesh Goud.
It is said that Kuna Venkatesh Goud has sympathy in Sanathnagar and has good connect with cadre and people. Therefore his candidature for Sanathnagar is seen as a master stroke by Chandrababu Naidu.
As soon as Kuna was announced TDP candidate even Talasani has entered into a fear zone. It is said that he has alertes his cadres and even expressing fear of defeat.
Though Congress leader Marri Shahsidhar Reddy expressed displeasure over not giving ticket to him, it is said that both Rahul Gandhi and Chandrababu will soothe him and agree him to work for Kuna’s victory.
