NOTA, the latest political thriller from rising young actor Vijay Deverakonda, has landed in trouble regarding the censor clearance.The bilingual got clearance for the Tamil version long back but now the Telugu version is facing issues as there is an objectionable swear word that has become the bone of contention.

The Board has raised many objections over the content and dialogues since the movie is loaded with politics.Vijay Deverakonda reportedly stepped in and explained all the Board members the importance of each scene and the vision behind every sequence and dialogue. Since the director is Tamilian, Vijay Deverakonda took initiative to explain the movie’s vision.

Despite his best efforts, the board members didn’t relent to. They asked the team to mute the objectionable dialogues.The swear word that was recently heard in some films has also been repeated in this movie. Since the elections around the corner, the Censor Board doesn’t want take a chance with this swear word used against the politicians.

Finally, the team of “NOTA” has agreed to mute this word and other objectionable dialogues and settled for UA certification. But they have now to re-edit them and submit it to the Board again to get final certificate.“NOTA” is releasing on October 5 both in Telugu and Tamil languages. The film is directed by Anand Shankar and produced by Gnanavel Raja.
