Niharika Brings Humor to Raakaasa Song Launch

Yesterday marked the song launch event of Raakaasa, starring Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika. The event had a playful twist due to producer Niharika dealing with throat pain, which led to a humorous scenario on stage.
Sangeeth took the spotlight for a moment, announcing Niharika’s throat issue and offering to read her speech on her behalf. As he read aloud, he jokingly mentioned that Niharika promised to gift him a Range Rover if the film became a hit.
Not missing a beat, Niharika jumped in and said, “See! My throat is blocked like this. But instead of leaving it to Sangeeth, it’s better to speak with this throat itself, as my post-release budget would also shoot up. I will try to manage with this ‘Chinmayi-kind-of throat’,” and continued speaking a few more lines.
The reference, of course, was to popular singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi, sparking lighthearted chatter among the audience. Some joked whether Chinmayi might be offended by the playful comparison.
The moment has sparked a humorous trend, similar to how men jokingly claim their voice sounds like Udit Narayan when suffering from a cold. Perhaps for women, the “Chinmayi-style throat” might now become the new playful benchmark, thanks to Niharika’s witty remark.
Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh Struggles with US Pre-Sales

The advance booking trend for Ustaad Bhagat Singh in the United States has raised concerns, with just a few days left for the premiere and numbers remaining modest. Despite the strong overseas fan base of Pawan Kalyan, early ticket sales in North America have not gained the expected momentum.
According to initial booking data, the film has grossed around $160K in the USA from premiere pre-sales across roughly 1,016 shows, with nearly 6,936 tickets sold. Including Canada, the total North American advance stands at approximately $175K.
For a star of Pawan Kalyan’s stature, a premiere advance under $200K with less than a week to go is considered underwhelming by trade observers. The numbers appear even weaker when compared to his previous benchmark with They Call Him OG, which had recorded a massive $1.9 million in US premiere pre-sales. In comparison, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is currently at barely 8% of that figure.
Industry watchers note that the film faces tough competition from Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, as both are scheduled to release on March 19. With the trailer of Ustaad Bhagat Singh yet to be unveiled, trade circles believe that advance bookings could see an improvement in the coming days, depending on audience response to the promotional material.
Vijay’s TVK Faces Election Funding Challenge

Actor-turned-politician Vijay recently launched his political outfit, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), with the bold promise of challenging Tamil Nadu’s major political parties — Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) — independently.
However, a recent internal party meeting highlighted a serious challenge. During an online discussion led by party organiser Bussy Anand, several district leaders admitted that TVK is struggling to find candidates who can afford the unofficial ₹5 crore typically required to contest an Assembly election. While the Election Commission sets the official spending limit at ₹40 lakh, insiders say the actual costs for a competitive campaign are much higher.
The discussion sparked a heated debate within the party. Some leaders suggested that TVK may have to reconsider alliances, despite earlier claims of running independently. Questions also arose about potential partnerships, such as joining hands with the AIADMK — including who would be the Chief Ministerial candidate and what role Vijay would play.
Sources revealed that nearly three-fourths of the leaders present supported exploring alliance options due to financial and organisational constraints.
For now, TVK’s leadership is still weighing its choices. The meeting, however, has laid bare a harsh political reality: launching a political movement may be easy, but funding a full-fledged election campaign is a far more complex challenge.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Private Jet Travel Habit Explained

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known for his grand lifestyle and global travel, but one particular habit reportedly influences the way he chooses to fly.
According to industry buzz, the actor rarely travels on commercial airlines and instead prefers private jets for most of his journeys. The reason, sources say, is linked to his long-known habit of chain smoking.
Since commercial flights strictly prohibit smoking during the entire journey, it becomes difficult for him during long travel hours. This restriction reportedly makes commercial air travel less comfortable for the superstar.
Private jets, on the other hand, offer much greater flexibility and privacy. Some chartered flights permit smoking on board, which makes them a more convenient option for him.
Because of this, Shah Rukh Khan is said to rely heavily on private aviation whenever he travels for film shoots, promotional events, or personal commitments.
Six Ministers Absent in N. Chandrababu Naidu Cabinet Meet

Six ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, were absent from the Andhra Pradesh state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, according to official sources.
The cabinet meeting took place amid reports that a few ministers could not attend due to personal and official commitments. Pawan Kalyan and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar reportedly skipped the meeting as they were busy with preparations for the Jana Sena Party foundation day celebrations.
Meanwhile, ministers Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Vangalapudi Anitha, and T. G. Bharath informed the government that they would not be able to attend the meeting due to health issues.
Another minister, N. M. D. Farooq, was absent as he was observing the death anniversary rituals of his wife.
It may be recalled that Pawan Kalyan had also skipped the two-day collectors’ conference held earlier in the week. Though the state-wide rally planned at Pithapuram on March 14 for the party foundation day was cancelled due to heat wave conditions, the Deputy Chief Minister did not attend the collectors’ meeting or the cabinet session.
Instead, Pawan Kalyan directed party cadres of the Jana Sena Party to organise various service activities on the occasion of the foundation day. These include blood donation camps, food distribution programmes, and plantation drives across the state.
Anil Kapoor Missed Cameo in Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s upcoming spy thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is gearing up to carry forward the success of its blockbuster predecessor. The film has already generated strong buzz thanks to its intense trailer and powerful ensemble cast.
Interestingly, veteran actor Anil Kapoor recently revealed that he was offered a cameo in the sequel but had to decline the opportunity due to prior commitments.
Speaking at the India Today Conclave, Anil Kapoor shared that Aditya Dhar had approached him for a small but interesting appearance in the film. However, he chose to honor a commitment he had already made to another filmmaker.
“Aditya came to me for Dhurandhar 2 and wanted me to do a small cameo. But the reason I am where I am today is because of my professionalism and commitment. Talent alone is not enough,” Kapoor said.
The veteran actor explained that he had already allocated his dates to another project and did not want to back out. “I told Aditya that I would have loved to do the cameo, but I was already committed. He is releasing the film now and it looks fantastic. It’s my loss, but that’s okay,” he added.
Kapoor also mentioned that he hopes to collaborate with Aditya Dhar in the future. When asked whether he might appear in a possible Dhurandhar 3, the actor said he would prefer to work on something entirely new instead.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna in key roles.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, 2026, coinciding with festive occasions like Gudi Padwa and Ugadi, and arriving just ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
The trailer, unveiled on March 7, showcases Ranveer Singh in an intense dual role as Jaskirat and Hamza, promising a high-octane spy drama with deeper character arcs and a much larger narrative scale.
After Marriage, What’s Next for Rashmika Mandanna?

In the film industry, it is quite common for actresses to slow down their careers or become more selective about roles after marriage. Many prefer to move towards more dignified characters instead of glamorous or bold roles. However, there have always been a few exceptions.
For instance, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone continued to portray glamorous roles even after her marriage, maintaining the same screen presence she had before. On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also remained active in films after marriage but largely chose more graceful and dignified characters rather than bold or highly glamorous roles. Whenever she did step slightly out of that image, it often became a topic of wide discussion.
This trend has been more visible in Bollywood, but when it comes to the South Indian film industry, the situation can be even more complicated. Industry observers often say that many directors and producers hesitate to cast married actresses. This mindset sometimes leads to a gradual slowdown in their careers.
According to some producers, there are several concerns behind this hesitation. They feel that signing a married actress could affect schedules if she later becomes pregnant. Sometimes, actresses who initially agree to certain costumes or scenes may later feel uncomfortable due to personal or family considerations. In addition, if the actress’s husband is a popular star, filmmakers worry that his fans may not like seeing her romantically paired with another hero on screen. Because of these perceptions, some producers prefer to avoid casting married actresses altogether.
A recent example often discussed is Lavanya Tripathi, who has significantly reduced her film appearances after marriage to Varun Tej.
Now, a similar question is being raised about Rashmika Mandanna. With rumors about her relationship with Vijay Deverakonda frequently making headlines, industry watchers are curious about what her future choices might look like. Will she continue to take on glamorous roles as before, or will she shift toward more restrained characters? Or could she gradually reduce her presence in films?
Only time will reveal how Rashmika chooses to navigate her career amid these industry perceptions and social expectations.
Prabhas Turns Focus to Fitness and Discipline

Change is inevitable. Often, people resist it when everything around them seems to be going smoothly. But when factors like health, public image, or perception start becoming concerns, the willingness to change naturally grows.
This seems to be the case with pan-India star Prabhas. The actor has often been known for his love of food and a relatively relaxed approach towards strict fitness routines. At times, he was also said to rely more on body doubles during shoots rather than pushing himself physically.
However, things appear to be changing now. After the response to The Raja Saab and the comments circulating about the difference between his on-screen and off-screen appearance, Prabhas reportedly decided to bring in some discipline to his routine.
According to sources within the industry, the actor has made noticeable changes in his lifestyle. He is said to be attending shooting schedules more regularly and showing greater commitment on set. His earlier dependence on body doubles has reportedly reduced, which many see as a positive shift.
Another interesting change is in his food habits. Prabhas is believed to be focusing more on fitness and workouts these days. If this continues, fans may soon see a fitter and more energetic version of the star on screen.
For fans of Prabhas, this is certainly encouraging news. If he maintains this renewed focus and discipline, it could reflect positively in his upcoming films as well.
Varun Tej Wraps Korean Kanakaraju Shoot Soon

Mega Prince Varun Tej is currently busy with an interesting horror-comedy titled Korean Kanakaraju, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. The film is being produced by leading banners UV Creations and First Frame Entertainment and is now nearing the completion of its shoot.
Blending spooky elements with comedy, the film comes with a unique concept that connects India and South Korea. Varun Tej is said to be appearing in a completely new avatar, something very different from the roles he has attempted so far. His quirky look and energetic antics shown in the title glimpse released on his birthday received an excellent response from fans and movie lovers.
Meanwhile, the team has flown to South Korea for the film’s final shooting schedule. This one-week schedule will cover the filming of a couple of songs and several important scenes featuring Varun Tej, actress Ritika Nayak, and popular comedian Satya across vibrant Korean locations.
With this schedule, the shooting of the film will be wrapped up completely. After that, the makers will shift their focus to post-production and begin an aggressive promotional campaign.
The film’s music is composed by S. Thaman, while cinematography is handled by Manoj Reddy Katasani. The makers are expected to announce the official release date of Korean Kanakaraju soon.
Nani’s The Paradise Builds Massive Slum Set for ‘Aaya Sher’ Song

Shooting in a real slum location may sometimes be inexpensive, as filmmakers can obtain permission by paying a nominal fee to the government. However, when a production team decides to recreate an entire slum environment as a specially designed set, the costs increase significantly because it allows complete control over lighting, assets, camera movement, and overall visual design.
For the song “Aaya Sher” from Nani’s upcoming film The Paradise, the makers appear to have taken on a massive production effort. Director Srikanth Odela and the team constructed a huge slum-style set on nearly 2.5 acres of land. The set includes numerous houses, narrow alleys, arches, walls, and drainage systems designed to replicate the look and feel of a densely populated settlement. Along with the hero’s house—designed in a distinctive arch-style structure resembling a traditional kaman—the team also created an entire village-like environment. This elaborate setup features several residential structures, a large water body, a giant bowl-shaped structure resembling a biryani vessel, and even a dump yard nearby to add realism to the setting.
The construction of these extensive sets involved many workers and skilled artisans, and it reportedly took around 20 to 30 days to complete. To enhance authenticity, the designers applied natural aging effects, vintage textures, and weathered colors to the structures so that the environment would appear lived-in and realistic on screen.
The grand slum-style set was designed by production designer Avinash Kolla, and it has become a major talking point after the release of the “Aaya Sher” song. The track has already crossed 100 million views on YouTube, with audiences praising its raw visual appeal, energetic tone, Anirudh Ravichander’s powerful music, and Nani’s commanding screen presence.
The Paradise, produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, was initially scheduled for release on March 27, but due to delays in the film’s shooting schedule, the release has now been postponed to August 27.
