Hyd: Father Attacked Inter-Caste Couple, Daughter Critical
Even as people are yet to come to terms with the caste killing of Pranay by the girl’s father Maruthi Rao in Nalgonda’s Miryalaguda, a shocking incident has taken place in Hyderabad’s SR Nagar.
Angry over the love marriage of Madhavi (22) and Sandeep (24), the girl’s father has brutally tried to kill them on the road while all are watching. Going into details, Sandeep from Erragadda and Madhavi from Borabanda’s Vinayak Nagar have been in love for the past 5 years. With the castes of both of them are different, Madhavi’s parents have not agreed for their marriage. Meanwhile, Madhavi’s parents have fixed her wedding with her cousin (son of her maternal uncle).
To avoid this, Madhavi has run away and came to Sandeep’s house and has been staying with Sandeep. Ten days ago, the couple have tied the knot in a temple in Alwal. Learning about their marriage, finally, Madhavi’s parents have accepted their marriage. Madhavi has been staying in her in-law’s house with Sandeep.
In this backdrop, Madhavi’s father has been acting nice with the couple for the past two days. On fateful Wednesday (Sep 19, 2018), Madhavi’s father have asked them to come near Honda showroom in Erragadda to purchase new clothes to them with the motive of killing them. Going by the CCTV footage, Madhavi’s father who was wearing the helmet had parked his bike next to them, he slowly removed his helmet and opened his bag from where he has taken machete with which he had attacked both Sandeep, Madhavi even as the onlookers were witnessing. While a few onlookers tried to counter Madhavi’s father who had weapon in his hand, he tried to attack them with his weapon. This brazen incident was totally caught in the CCTV.
Madhavi and Sandeep have been rushed to nearby hospital. Sandeep has escaped with serious injuries while Madhavi’s condition is said to be critical. Doctors are treating Madhavi.
Now, Triple talaq is non-bailable offense
In a major relief to the victims of triple talak and Muslims rights activists, the Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved an ordinance making the islamic divorce a serious crime and a punishable offense in India.
Minister for Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad said the government had to take ordinance route as it failed to pass it through both the houses of parliament. According to the proposed law, the crime is a non-bailable offense and accused can approach a magistrate even before trail to seek bail. So bail cannot be granted by the police at the police station. The police can also lodge FIR if approached by the victim (wife) relatives or kin.
Although the bill to criminalize talaq-e-biddat was passed by the Lok Sabha in the winter session of parliament in August, the bill got stuck in Rajya Sabha with the stiff opposition from the members.
Subsequently, the government approved three amendments to the ‘Muslim Women Protection of Rights on Marriage Bill’ in August. Now the ordinance move from the government is viewed as a big win for the women rights activists in Muslim community.
Jagan’s Shock To Vignan Rathaiah’s Son
After giving a rude shock to Vangaveeti Radha, YS Jagan is all set for another blow to Guntur district YCP leaders. Ummareddy Venkateswarlu’s son-in-law Kilari Rosaiah has been directed to contest for Guntur Parliament constituency instead of the existing Krishna Devarayulu who had been projected as the MP candidate from Guntur for over four-and-half years. Jagan directed Krishna Devarayulu to contest from Narasaraopet Parliament constituency. This is said to be irking Vignan Rathaiah who is afraid that his son may not withstand if he moves to Narasaraopet Parliament seat.
Since Ummareddy is from Kapu community, Jagan reportedly voted for Ummareddy’s son-in-law Rosaiah to field against Galla Jayadev, brother-in-law of Mahesh Babu. Guntur Parliament constituency said to have more Kapu votes. Even in 2014, YCP had fielded leader from Kapu community Vallabhaneni Balashowry. Balashowry, however, lost to TDP’s Galla Jayadev by over 55,000 votes.
Of late, speculations are rife that Kapu community is moving away from YCP owing to Jagan’s comments on Kapu Reservation, personal attack on Pawan Kalyan and denying Vijayawada Central Assembly ticket to Vangaveeti Radha. Amidst this background, Jagan seems to have decided to field Kilari Rosaiah from Guntur Parliament seat. This sudden change is said to be getting a lot of flak from the local party leaders.
Controversial Tweet Lands Him In Trouble With Producers
Cinematographer and producer Santosh Sivan has landed in a trouble following his controversial tweet on producers.He posted a meme picture on his Twitter handle. The image of an angry dog with a caption – “Producers while paying technicians. And adjacently, a smiling dog with a caption – “Producers while paying heroine.”
His distasteful comment did not go down well with several producers in the Malayalam industry and elsewhere. Although he deleted the tweet instantly, the damage has done as Tamil Film Producers Council members are likely to take action against Santosh Sivan for the controversial tweet.
Santosh Sivan, who had directed ‘Urumi’, is currently working on his upcoming project in Malayalam. He so far roped in Manju Warrier, Kalidas Jayaram and Soubin Shahir for the crucial characters in the film.

But this time he will be launching the son of a producer through his next which is being produced by Asian Cinemas Sunil Narang.
Cinema experts feel that Kammula has cut the baggage of carrying his previous film’s success by choosing to work with newcomers yet again. But the difference between star and newcomer is the ‘collection’ from the box office, while appreciations may be the same.
Anushka In Talks With Bangarraju?
Nagarjuna always had plans to make a sequel of his super successful film Soggade Chinni Nayana, with just Bangarraju character in lead and title. This was heard to be the combined idea of Nagarjuna and director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala. Nothing much happened since then and now again Nagarjuna seems to be brushing the idea to work.
It is heard that Kalyan Krishna’s Bangarraju could not impress Nagarjuna, and the latter asked the director to come up with a better script. An exclusive report says that Nagarjuna finally gave a nod to a script for Bangarraju with many changes and Nag’s favorite actress Anushka is in talks for the female lead role.
Kalyan Krishna failed to enter big league after Soggade Chinni Nayana’s success. His films Rarandoi Veduka Chudam fared well and Nela ticket ended up as a colossal failure.
Nagarjuna is working on two non-Telugu films, Marakkar in Malayalam and Brahmastra in Hindi. His most awaited Devadasu with Nani is releasing on the 27th day of this Month.
