The Mega actress Niharika Konidela made her debut in Tollywood hoping that she would become a top actress and achieve star status, that is enjoyed by other actors from her family. But, unfortunately, she was welcomed with a flop ‘Oka Manasu’, which was followed by couple of disasters – ‘Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren'(Tamil) & Happy Wedding (Telugu).

The Mega actress has been reportedly casted in a ‘Kathakali dancer’ role for which she is currently taking up a special training. The film has slowed down considerably, yet is adding good amount even today.At US box-office, the film has achieved a huge feat. The film has now officially crossed the life-time gross of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s mega comeback movie “Khaidi No 150”.

“Khaidi No 150” which was released last January raked in whopping $2,447,043 in its life-time gross. This was a big amount then.28 days after its release, “Geetha Govindam” has surpassed the “Khaidi No 150” amount and is now inching towards to cross the life time gross of Trivikram – Nithin’s “A Aa” that grossed $2,449,174.

What is astonishing is that “Geetha Govindam” has achieved this feat with just $12 ticket unlike other big movies that grossed with $18, $20 ticket rates.

The film now stands at 8th position at all-time Tollywood top grossers at US Box-office.

Hero Nagarjuna said he is undecided about which movie to watch first as ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’ and ‘U Turn’ are releasing tomorrow.Nagarjuna graced the pre-release event of ‘U Turn’ as chief guest and made the above statement.

Speaking he said, “I know director Pawan Kumar before Samantha. I think ‘Lucia’ is the first ever crowd funded film and it’s a fantastic film.”Nagarjuna added that when he watched the trailer, he liked it immensely and immediately asked Samantha about the movie.

“She (Samantha) was so excited for this film and it’s a new age cinema with a young team behind it,” said Nagarjuna.About his daughter-in-law Nag said, “While coming I asked Samantha whether she is planning to go to Guinness Book of Records by releasing three films in a single day.”

‘U Turn’ is a mystery thriller surrounding an accident and how Samantha who plays an investigative journalist chases it forms the plot.

Director Ravibabu who always comes up with unique ideas has once again proved his versatility with Adhugo. A piglet plays the lead role in this Live-action film.The makers claim it to be the India’s first live action 3D film. The story revolves around a piglet and a kid. It looks like a film targeted at kids and families with a mix of humor, action and romance.

Although the idea of Adhugo sounds exciting, the visual effects look tacky in the trailer. Superstar Bunty looks very unrealistic in the trailer.Movies with animals playing lead roles using motion capture technology is very common in Hollywood. But they look far superior and very realistic compared to what Ravibabu and his team has pulled off.

Nevertheless, it is an exciting experiment and it would be interesting to see how our audience lap this up.Adhugo bankrolled by Suresh Productions is aiming for Dussera holidays release.

Yatra, the biopic of late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy gets a release date. The film will hit the screens on December 21 on the occasion of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s birthday.Legendary Malayalam actor Mammootty is playing the lead role as YSR in the film directed by Mahi V Raghav.

Actual plan was to release the film for Sankranthi, but makers have now decided to release it on late CM’s beloved son’s birthday.Yatra is not a complete biopic of YSR. It only focuses on the epic padayatra of YSR which proved instrumental in getting him to power against all odds.

December 21 is turning out to be the favorite date for many producers. Movies like Antariksham (Varun Tej – Sankalp Reddy) and Padi Padi Leche Manasu (Sharwanand – Sai Pallavi) were announced for release on Dec 21.With Yatra joining the race Dec 21 is getting crowded than anticipated.
