Political leaders believing astrological signs and dogmas are not uncommon in our country. In the case of senior TDP leader Nandamuri Harikrishna, it is no exception that he used to make considerate calculations before stepping out of house for any important event or work.
According to his close friends and known relations, Harikrishna is a firm believer of Hindu panchanga. And everytime he steps out of his house, he would ensure that he takes other people along with him totaling four while attending a work or any event. However, he believed that the numerical number of 3 was always a bad omen.
The horrific accident that claimed his life is now raking a debate. Speaking to media persons, his close friend Prakash said that Harikrishna called him and asked him to accompany to a marriage reception in Nellore. However, Prakash did not receive call from Harikrishna on Tuesday. Meanwhile on Wednesday, the actor met with the accident and declared dead in Kamineni hospital at Narketpally in Nalgonda. Prakash said he is still in shock as to how Harikrishna set to travel with total three number of persons in the car.
Arikapudi Sivaji and Venkatrao are the two people who accompanied Harikrishna in the SUV. About 100 kms away from Hyderabad, the car hit the divider on the highway at the speed of 150 kms, at 6 am on Wednesday. Both Sivaji and Venkatrao escaped unhurt while Harikrishna suffered injuries to his head and chest.
Nandamuri brothers Tarak and Kalyan Ram have lost both the heads in their family in road mishaps. In this viral picture, both NTR and Kalyanam are being consoled by their uncles Chandrababu Naidu and Balakrishna and cousin Nara Lokesh.
The photograph was taken at the Kamineni Hospital where Harikrishna breathed his last following a car accident. While Babu and Lokesh flew down to the hospital in a special flight, Balakrishna cancelled NTR biopic’s shoot and headed straight to Nalgonda to see his elder brother one last time.
Nandamuri Harikrishna’s death in a road mishap at Nalgonda is certainly a loss to his family and the TDP. The 61-year-old actor-turned-politician, who entertained Telugu audience over the years, was known for being upright and frank opinions.
Harikrishna along with two others started off from Hyderabad to attend a wedding ceremony in Nellore. The police officials stated that the actor was driving his car – Toyota Fortuner at a high speed to reach Nellore early by today morning 9 am. After reaching Anneparthi in Nalgoda district, the car rammed into the divider and flung in the air before turning turtle. Harikrishna suffered severe head and chest injuries while three others in the vehicle escaped unhurt. By the time locals rushed him to Kamineni hospital in Narketpally, he breathed his last.
A letter purportedly written by Harikrishna is doing rounds on social media. Ahead of his birthday on September 2, the actor urged his fans not to celebrate his birthday on the occasion rather help the flood victims who lost houses in the devastating floods in Kerala.
The actor also urged his fans not to erect flexis and banners marking his birthday. He asked his fans in the letter to spend the money in helping the Kerala victims. However, the authenticity of the letter is not yet been ascertained.
Meanwhile, Chief Ministers of both the Telugu states and Tollywood celebrities poured condolence message over the tragedy.
The Communist parties – CPI and the CPI (M), which had once dominated the politics across the country, have now virtually turned parasites in the Telugu states. Before every elections, these Left parties had the habit of running around one or the other party for alliances.
In the previous elections, they had joined hands either with the Congress or the Telugu Desam Party. In 2014 elections, they could not join hands with either of it, because the Congress divided AP and had become a villain in the eyes of the people while the TDP had an alliance with the BJP.In Telangana, too, there were no takers for them, as they opposed the Telangana formation. Yet, both the parties had won just one seat each and finally, the CPI MLA switched over to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
This time, too, the Left parties had no way to ally with the Congress or the TDP in Andhra Pradesh. They tried to make friendship with the YSR Congress party, but they realised that he might go with the BJP. So, they are running after the Jana Sena Party headed by actor Pawan Kalayn. In Telangana, the CPI and the CPI-M are in a dilemma as to what stand they would take. The CPI is now contemplating joining hands with the Congress and bargain for a seat or two to retain its identity. But CPI (M), as a matter of policy, does not want to go with the Congress.
So, here also, the CPI (M) wants to go with the Jana Sena. On Monday, CPI (M) Telangana unit secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram wrote a letter to Pawan Kalyan expressing his party’s interest in joining hands with Jana Sena in Telangana.Following his advice, Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of Jana Sena held a meeting in Hyderabad to discuss about CPM State General Secretary Veera Bhadram’s letter.
PAC stated that it needs more clarity to decide whether the alliance would be restricted to fighting for resolving public issues or it would go on to contest in the upcoming elections to the State Assembly.

Nara Lokesh has intensified his attack against opposition leaders Jagan and Pawan. In a direct attack, Lokesh described Jagan as ‘Avineeti Putrudu’ and Pawan as ‘Datta Putrudu’ for BJP. Lokesh said BJP has failed to match to the development and progress being carried out by Andhra Pradesh state government. Lokesh went onto dub Jagan Mohan Reddy as Jagan ‘Modi’ Reddy. Lokesh accused YCP of becoming close to Modi and BJP in the recent times and acting against Andhra Pradesh.
Lokesh has smartly targeted Pawan. He said he had thought Pawan Kalyan as ‘Powerful’. But he said he came to know true Pawan Kalyan when he had gone missing during the No-Confidence Motion moved by the TDP against Modi Sarkar. Lokesh recalled Pawan’s tall claim he had made that he would personally muster the support from all parties if No-Confidence Motion is moved.
In a direct attack, Lokesh said a vote for YCP or Janasena is a straight vote to the BJP that is in the bad books of the people of AP. Lokesh has also targeted BJP and Pawan for doing ‘divisive’ politics. He said BJP is creating Special Statehood for Rayalaseema and Pawan is demanding for Uttarandhra Movement. Lokesh accused BJP and Janasena of trying to divide AP people further during tough times.
Accusing Jagan of dividing people on caste-basis, Lokesh alleged that Jagan was behind the burning of trains and encouraging casteism and trying to bring law and order situation by creating fights between various castes. Lokesh cited Kapu Reservation Stir in Tuni that turned out violent and alleged that Jagan had conspired to disrupt the peace in the state for his political gain. Lokesh’s speech is thoroughly rhetoric and a direct attack against all the three – Pawan, Jagan and BJP.
