Exclusive: Nani Is Doctor In Jersey!
Nani’s next film ‘Jersey’ first poster is out long ago and here is an exclusive update about the film. Nani is playing a role of Doctor in the film Jersey, whose father was a cricketer, Nani again.
Jersey is said to be an emotional entertainer about the dreams of a father son duo, in which the former is cricketer and the latter doctor. We have to see to whom the jersey with printed Arjun on it, actually belongs to. There were not too many cricket backdrop films in Telugu so far and Nani’s Jersey is raising curiosity each day.
Jersey will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, of Sumanth’s Malli Raava fame. The regular shooting is all set to begin from September this year. It is definitely an interesting wait to see how Nani does it as cricketer and in father son roles.
On the other side, Nani’s look suggests us to believe that he is playing a doctor in Devadas, a multistarrer with Nagarjuna.
Multi-starrer King Venky Joins Hands With Suriya
Multi-starrer movies have so far augured well for Tollywood and filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned to try their luck at the box office.
Hero Victory Venkatesh can be called as the King of multi-starrers undisputedly. He had earlier joined hands with top stars like Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan and now, he has a couple of multi-starrers in hand with Varun Tej and his nephew Naga Chaitanya.
And now, Venky will soon be teaming up with Tamil star Suriya for a big multi-starrer. The movie, which is not yet titled, will be directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina. Interestingly, both the stars are donning the roles of a police officer in the film. The movie will be produced under Suresh Productions banner. According to sources, Suriya’s role in the film is going to be of 20 minutes duration.
KCR seeks fresh mandate for ‘golden Telangana’
Hyderabad: Amid talk of early polls, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday appealed to people to continue their support in his pursuit to transform the state into a ‘golden Telangana’.The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief, who recently dropped hints of polls being advanced, said the blessings of the people were a source of strength for him.
In his speech at the main official function to mark India’s 72nd Independence, he recalled the struggle for Telangana state under his leadership and said the people did not rest till achieving the goal which was considered impossible by many.He claimed that the government not only put to rest all doubts about the viability of Telangana as a state but made it a model for the entire country.
In his hour-long address, he spoke at length about the initiatives taken by the state during last four years for all-round development and welfare of all sections of the society.KCR, as Rao is popularly known, also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent speech in Parliament in which he praised Telangana. He said Modi lauded Telangana for acting with maturity after bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh by focusing on development.
“As he said we refrained from playing cheap politics and raking up unnecessary disputes.”
Without naming any party, KCR said attempts were still being made to stall the state’s march on the path of progress. Stating that for last four years the state was registering annual growth rate of 17.12 percent, he vowed to use the surplus revenues for eradication of poverty.He claimed that with annual expenditure of Rs 40,000 crore on 40 welfare schemes, Telangana had the largest welfare budget in the country.
KCR spoke about waiver of loans of farmers, investment support to farmers at the rate Rs 8,000 per acre per annum, overcoming electricity shortage, 24 hour free electricity to farm sector, completion of pending irrigation projects, revival of irrigation tanks, drinking water supply to every household.He announced that the government was launching from Wednesday two new schemes to provide free eye care to the entire population and Rs.5 lakh life insurance to farmers.
The Chief Minister said during last four years, the IT sector attracted huge investment and the annual IT exports had reached Rs 1 lakh crore.He claimed that since the launch of new industrial policy to give all approvals for industrial units within 15 days, the state attracted Rs 1.32 lakh crore investment, providing employment to 8.37 lakh people.
Under the new policy, 7,697 approvals were granted and out of them 5,570 units commenced production.
KCR said the government was undertaking infrastructure projects worth Rs35,000 crore to make Hyderabad a global city. He announced Rs 50,000 crore will be spent in the next five years to further improve the infrastructure and basic amenities in the city.
He said a 330 km long regional ring road would be constructed around Hyderabad to provide better road connectivity between the state capital and other towns.He announced the second phase of Hyderabad metro rail project will be thrown open next month.

He is the reason for Taapsee to take up Tamil remake of RX 100.Aadhi has requested Taapsee to watch the original and she reportedly fell in love with the female lead character. Aadhi is playing the lead in Tamil remake of RX 100.
The remake is getting bigger by the day with noted and popular actors being zeroed in. RX 100 has good chances to do well in Tamil as it suits the taste of Kollywood audience.
Shocking Survey in AP: 7 MPs for BJP, 3 For Congress
Even as the general elections for Lok Sabha has ample time, Opinion Polls and Surveys are already in place. In latest, the Times Now Opinion Poll is out and it predicted that BJP would win 227 seats and Congress would limit at 78 seats out of overall 545 seats. It projected that others would win in 238 seats indicating that it wouldn’t be easy for BJP who marched to victory on its own in 2014.
But what’s shocking in the results of the Opinion Poll is the projection for the Andhra Pradesh. The Opinion Poll for the successor state of Andhra Pradesh projected that BJP would win 7 Lok Sabha seats and Congress would win 3 Lok Sabha seats in AP. While Congress is routed in AP and doesn’t even have strong candidates to contest for Lok Sabha, the situation of BJP too is no different.
The blunders of both the national political parties are expected to cost them hugely in the upcoming general elections in AP. The regional parties TDP and YSRCP are having strong hold and expected to have neck-and-neck in the forthcoming general elections – be it for Assembly or for Lok Sabha.
Quite contrary to it, the opinion poll suggested that both TDP and YCP together would settle at 15 seats out of total 25 seats. These results are now raising many eyeballs. Congress has zero Lok Sabha seats in AP and zero representation in Assembly. After denying the Special Category Status to the state and not keeping the bifurcation promises, BJP too expected to face the fate of the Congress in AP.
Meanwhile, the Times Now Opinion Poll also projected 2 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu which again is quite shocking as the Lotus Party hardly has any strength in the state. Considering all these, many are raising doubts over the survey aired by the popular channel.
C/o Kancharapalem Trailer: Realistic
Hero Rana Daggubati has launched the theatrical trailer of ‘C/o Kancharapalem’ a film that got selected for New York Indian Film Festival.The trailer has honest storytelling visuals and they are quite arresting. The film falls in the romance genre but reflects with people of all age group. It is extensively shot on the backdrop of Kancherapalem town near Visakhapatnam.
‘C/o Kancharapalem’ is written and directed by Venkatesh Maha and has music of Sweekar Agasthi.
Produced by Vijaya Praveena Paruchuri, hero Rana Daggubati is presenting the movie and Suresh Productions banner is backing the release which is scheduled on September 7th.
Rajamouli’s Son Leads #RRR
Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya has been assisting his father in his production and direction departments since Magadheera. He was the Second Unit Director for the Bahubali franchise. During Baahubali 2’s audio launch, Rajamouli openly praised Karthikeya and hailed him an all-rounder.
And now, Rajamouli seems to have entrusted Karthikeya with a much bigger responsibility for his multistarrer with NTR and Ram Charan ‘RRR’. Karthikeya will now lead RRR’s casting team and choose the right actors for the movie.
Karthikeya has left for Kerala today to audition theatre actors from the state that produced some of India’s finest actors. However, RRR’s team is maintaining that Karthikeya is headed to Kerala only to setup a database of talented actors which will be useful for all Tollywood filmmakers.
Geetha Govindam : Movie Review
Vijay Deverakonda’s latest film Geetha Govindam is loaded with fun elements that will cater to families and youth alike. Parasuram makes a clean movie that has a wafer thin story but loads of entertainment. This film is sure to take the box office by storm.
Story :
Vijay Govind (Vijay) is a good guy with noble intentions. He falls in love with Geetha (Rashmika) at first sight. He meets her again in a bus journey where things go out of place and he loses impression with Geetha. Despite that they are forced to stay close because of a strong reason. How Geetha comes to know about Vijay’s real self forms rest of the story.
Performances:
Vijay Deverakonda is a talented actor who keeps it simple without overdoing anything. His casual approach to his role makes Govind an adorable character. He is a typical boy next door who doesn’t flex muscles and break into fights. He is superbly supported by Rashmika. They both have the maximum screen time and the terrific chemistry between them doesn’t bore the viewers at any point. Rashmika is a fantastic actress and the right fit for Geetha. Subba Raju is okay in a supporting role. Rahul Ramakrishna shines with his style of humor. Vennela Kishore has a limited but hilarious role to play. Nithya Menen’s cameo is interesting and Anu Emmanuel appears in a scene.
Technicalities:
Parasuram’s script is very simple. It is a single line story with a strong conflict. He narrates the film in fun manner right from the beginning. He keeps it engaging all the time in spite of a thin story line. There is a lot of entertainment and a bit of emotion towards the end, which proves his capabilities as director. He shows his mark with the well written dialogues.
Gopi Sunder’s music is an asset. A good soundtrack is a must for a love story and Gopi provides one that will bring in repeat audience. Cinematography is neat and editing is adequate. The film has good production values too.

Analysis:
Geetha Govindam is a no brainer romantic comedy that only focuses on offering entertainment from the word go. Govindam is a very good guy with morals and dreams of having a great life partner. He comes across Geetha who seem to be the right one, but she misunderstands him due to an unfortunate incident. Whole film revolves around this point but thanks to some sparkling chemistry between Vijay and Rashmika it never gets boring.
First half of the film is thoroughly entertaining with wonderful songs. It reaches the intermission point with a mini outburst from the frustrated lead character. Second half shifts to the same scenario of heroine dominating the hero and him pleading her. There are many repetitive scenes but it never gets tedious because of fine writing and an adorable lead pair. The scene where heroine realizes the nobleness of hero is also done pretty well.
However, things get dragged after this point as the conflict is resolved. Many cliches happen and when things are slipping out of hands enter Vennela Kishore’s character that offers fun in between. We can excuse a bit of drama and cliched final part as Geetha Govindam has lot of fun and entertainment until that point.
It is one of the most fun films to come out in recent times. It is a clean romantic comedy that can be enjoyed with whole family. Vijay and Rashmika together steal the show in Geetha Govindam that is ably handled by Parasuram. Mellifluous soundtrack by Gopi Sunder is an icing on the cake. Go watch it.
