When Will AP Be Free Of Their Nuisance?
At a time when Andhra Pradesh is complaining of total apathy by the Centre towards the State’s interests, TRS MPs as usual led by the incorrigible Vinod came up with a ridiculous assertion.They claimed that Union Defence Minister Nirmala Seetharaman was helping Andhra Pradesh and not Telangana.Pray, in what way has the lady supported Andhra radish, can these gentlemen please clarify?
At the heart of the protest is the issue of defence land in Hyderabad.After bifurcation, instead of using the available Secretariat and other buildings, KCR requested the Centre to hand over 200 acres of defence lands comprising Bison Polo grounds etc for constructing a new Secretariat and other highway and flyover projects.The Centre is yet to respond. Meanwhile, Karnataka government requested defence land in their State for infrastructure purposes and the Centre readily agreed for the same leading the TRS MPs and KTR to cry foul.
Apparently, there is no politics involved here because Karnataka is not a BJP-ruled State.
Logistics, national security and a whole lot of other issues have to be taken into consideration before parting with defence land.In some cases, it may be easy and complicated in other instances as it depends on the topography and demographics among other factors.Like a school boy, KTR tweeted about this the other day to Nirmala Seetharaman who was gracious in her reply and said the officials of the State government and the Centre will work out the modalities.
Such important issues need to be addressed in person and not restricted to a 140 character rant. But KTR is treating it as a medium for scoring brownie points.And as for the TRS MP Vinod, the lesser said about him, the better. During the T-agitation, he echoed the view of KCR’s daughter Kavitha and said Telanganites were not Indians but independent nations living a happy life until the region was annexed to the Indian Union in 1948 along with Kashmir.
Why then do Vinod and Kavitha sit in Parliament and travel on Indian passports? And why drag Andhra Pradesh into the controversy of defence land not being allotted to the T-government?

Despite not having a hit against his name, director Parasuram has been bagging decent projects consistently.Till date, Parasuram has made Yuvatha, Anjaneyulu, Solo, Saarochharu and Srirastu….Subhamastu.
None of these films set the box-office on fire although Yuvatha and Solo received good reviews.The director is now ready with his latest offering Geeta Govindam starring Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead.
Needless to say, this is the biggest opportunity for the director in a long time and he should capitalize on this, failing which, the road ahead might be bleak for him.
The film is scheduled for release on August 15.

Vijay Devarakonda Gets A Clear Route
One much-awaited film for Independence Day holiday is Vijay Devarakonda’s Geeta Govindam.While the film does not boast of any patriotic messages, the film’s hero has time and again said that his character is in total contrast to what he played in Arjun Reddy.Though it was initially anticipated that Sreenivasa Kalyanam would be a threat to Geeta Govindam, the audience response has clearly shown that team GG can rest assured.
In fact, the film has a good two weeks for solo run, as there are no films lined up till August 31.If the film manages to live up to the pre-release hype, then Geeta Govindam can make good money at the box office. Since it is Vijay’s next release after Arjun Reddy, youth are already waiting for the hit.Since the songs and promos have already created a flutter among youth, the producers are also aggressively promoting the film. After Mahanati, there has been no big release in Telugu.
Barring a few small films that created a ripple at the box-office, the industry is waiting for a huge hit.So, if Vijay Devarakonda manages to hit the bull’s eye with Geeta Govindam, then he will establish himself as an actor to be reckoned with, in Telugu.
Sakshyam effect: Huge cost-cutting for Bellamkonda
bThe failure of big-budgeted Sakshyam (made on a budget of Rs 42 crore including promotion costs) has had an impact on his projects in various stages of production.The problem for Tollywood is estimating the actual market of Bellamkonda, trying to judge, how much his film can earn on the strength of his name alone.
Earlier, his films attracted attention because of top directors and heroines being part of them.The failure of Sakshyam has reportedly resulted in 30% cost-cutting for Bellamkonda’s next film with Teja.
His next film in the direction of a debutant for Vamsadhara Creations is alo a big-budgeted one but the cash flow is now being rescheduled.
Vidya Is Having A Unique Experience At ‘NTR’ Sets
Bollywood beauty Vidya Balan is all set to make her Tollywood debut with the much-awaited biopic of legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao titled as ‘NTR’. His son, Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the titular role whereas Vidya is on board to play his NTR’s wife, Basavataarakam role. She recently became the brand ambassador of Malta Indian Film Festival 2018 and spoke about her upcoming movie in Telugu.
When asked as this is her debut in Telugu, “I am very excited for that. I have never delivered dialogues in another language apart from Hindi. Earlier, I did special appearances for one-two scenes in Malayalam film but in this film, I have a full-fledged role.” Said Vidya.She has been attending the sets for the past 5 days and is saying that she is having a great time so far. She stated that it has been a unique experience for her to start the shooting at 9 a.m sharp and finish at dot 6 p.m.
Talking about the Malta India Film Festival, “I think now Bollywood films are being watched everywhere and through this festival, more people might start watching, including the Maltese population who are not Indians. It will open up so many opportunities for the film industries of both nations and all would benefit from this film festival.” Said Vidya Balan.
This TDP MP’s Theatrics Disgusting!
YSR Congress party general secretary and Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy might have faced criticism for calling Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu as “fourth gender,” but going by the theatrics of his party MPs in Parliament in the name of demanding special category status to AP, one would be definitely tempted to make such comments.
Such was the disgusting behaviour of TDP MP from Chittoor Dr N Sivaprasad, who has been attending Parliament sessions, wearing strange make-ups every day, even as his party colleagues have been resorting to holding placards and raising slogans for special category status to register their protest in the Parliament premises.On Friday, Sivaprasad came to Parliament wearing the make-up of a transgender (eunuch), making obscene gestures at fellow MPs, media persons and other visitors.
He called the Prime Minister “Modi Baava” in a typical eunuch style and wanted that the state be blessed with the boons as was promised in the past.What is worse, the TDP MP even greeted Congress leader Sonia Gandhi with obscene gestures at the Parliament entrance and she just walked in with a broad smile. It was really disgusting to the other MPs and visitors.In fact, ever since the TDP snapped ties with the BJP, Sivaprasad has been coming to Parliament in strange attires in the name of protests.
On Thursday, he was dressed up like German dictator Adolf Hitler with Nazi uniform, toothbrush moustache and a stick in hand.A few days ago, he wore a long saffron robe to create Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s look. Before that he sported the attire of Saint Annamacharya, with a gold silk drape around his shoulders, tied a yellow waist band and played an iktara.In the past, he had dressed as a variety of characters – from sage Vishvamitra, Parashurama and Narad Muni from mythology to a washerman, Swachh Bharat worker, a student and even a woman.
Though his objective is to grab the attention of the media and fellow MPs, he has only been viewed as a joker!
Surprise: Nithya Menon In Geeta Govindam
Geeta Govindam is all set to release next week. Already, the film’s hero Vijay Devarakonda has said that the role will be in total contrast to the role he played in Arjun Reddy.The film has had good publicity, but at a time when a film’s fate is decided only on the release day, the team has its fingers crossed.
However, leaving aside the film’s fate, it is said to have other little attractions apart from Vijay Devarakonda.
Talk is that two popular heroines will be seen in cameo roles in the film. One is Anu Emmanuel who was last seen in Naa Peru Surya. The girl who hit to fame with Agnyathavaasi will soon be seen in Sailaja Reddy Alludu.
Another major attraction will be Nithya Menon. While there were doubts about Anu Emmanuel’s presence in the film, Nithya Menon’s cameo has come as a surprise. It is being said she will be seen at a crucial twist in the film.
Why KCR Used Adani’s Chartered Flight?
The use of chartered flight, owned by one of the India’s richest industrialists Gautam Adani, by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to fly off to Chennai to attend DMK leader M Karunanidhi’s funeral brought fresh trouble to the TRS Supremo.
Telangana Congress senior leader A Revanth Reddy made wild allegations against KCR that the CM helped to bring Adani group from out of the crisis by buying power from Chattisgarh at higher prices. KCR entered the agreement with Chattisgarh government for the supply of costly power from thermal plants which have been supplied coal by Adani.
Since Adani is close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, KCR is doing big favours to the company to bail out Adani from the financial crisis, Revanth said providing flight service to KCR by Adani group is part of quid pro quo between the CM and an industrialist.
