Despite having Mammootty on board and having some prominent faces as the principal cast, Yatra, the film based on ‘Prajanayakudu’ YSR and his padayatra, hasn’t garnered the craze it had expected. Even in overseas, the film hasn’t got the response it had predicted during the launch. With this, the film’s makers have decided to postpone the film’s release to February.

While the first reason is to cash in on the coming election season in Andhra and Telangana (Lok Sabha polls), the second and strong reason is that by contesting against the second part of NTR’s much-awaited biopic Mahanayakudu, Yatra wants to gain some brownie points. By pitching against Mahanayakudu, it is expected that they could attract YSR’s fans and supporters towards their film.

Considering the above reasons, Yatra of Prajanayakudu YSR, which was planned for Dec 21st release, has now been deferred to February. With this, the makers wants to position their film as a more serious film like NTR’s biopic and wants to take on NTR’s Mahanayakudu. Let’s see whether this would yield the desired results for Yatra or not.

Some insiders revealed that director Maruthi is the primary reason for good scripts shying away from Allu Arjun. They say that whatever the story that enters Allu camp, that will be first narrated to Bunny Vasu and then Maruthi. As this director is known for his masala taste and trademark commercial cinema, he is said to be unable to judge potential stories. When he rejects a story, Bunny Vasu will be sending it out without reconsidering.

Few writers and newcomers are said to have come up with very exciting and brand new concepts for Allu Arun, but the star is not approachable for those guys. And some of them have narrated very good stories to Maruthi, but they haven’t got his ISI mark over them.

Though many feel that Maruthi is indirectly responsible for spoiling good scripts that are coming to Bunny by rejecting them away, few insiders felt that he always gives right advice to Allu Arjun but only when he is asked.

The critically acclaimed film Mahanati has not just established actress Keerthy Suresh as a star heroine of south, but it also has made her very selective about her upcoming projects. After the release of Mahanati, Keerthy featured in 3 films – Saamy 2, Sandakozhi 2 & Sarkar, all of them were Tamil projects.

Despite the fact that Keerthy is hearing several scrips from Telugu, she hasn’t officially signed any new project so far. Recently, the Chennai born actress was offered a leading lady role in Natural Star Nani’s forthcoming film under the direction of Chandrasekhar Yeleti. But, Keerthy seems to have denied the offer. A speculation also has it that Keerthy is currently in discussions for Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ to which she might have to serve her bulk dates. If that is true, it could be one of the reasons for Keerthy’s denial to a Nani, who’s a good friend of the talented actress.

She will be shooting with us right till the very eve of her nuptials, which I think shows a tremendous amount of professionalism.”
