Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is marking her debut as a radio show presenter, has said that people advised her againt getting married as it would end her career.Kareena, who is happily married to actor Saif Ali Khan, launched “What Women Want with Kareena Kapoor Khan” on Ishq 104.8 FM on Tuesday here.

Asked what she has been wanting as a woman all her life, she said: “I have always been someone who wanted to follow her heart. When I was getting married people told me that don’t get married because your career will end after that. No producer will take you in his films and you will not get any work.”

“But after marriage, I have been working so much that sometimes, I say I don’t want to work too much.”The 38-year-old actress said she has been a person who has done things that she has wanted to do.”I wouldn’t listen to what people had to say. I am doing more work than earlier, I would like to continue and I hope that, I will always follow my heart and that’s what I wanted to do,” she added.

What made the “Veere Di Wedding” star venture into radio?

“When Ishq 104.8 FM came to me for a show that time, I was also surprised because I never been explored radio in my life. So, I was very nervous but when I heard concept of the show and the show would be about ‘What Women Want’ then, I realised that this is the perfect time for me to dive into something like this.”

Kareena added that it’s high time women should speak out.

“Its an unknown territory but I think it’s a territory that we need to speak about and it’s a topic that we need to address. I am glad that they (Ishq 104.8 FM) think that I was perfect for it because I have been opinionated all my life so, I think it’s time that women should speak out and I think it’s going to be a fabulous show,” she said.

The “Jab We Met” actress said she would love to know the reaction of people.”I am here to talk about women and I am here because I am a proud woman so, I would love to represent all of us gorgeous ladies out there,” she said.Saif and Kareena’s step-daughter Sara Ali Khan appeared in the latest episode of talk show “Koffee With Karan” hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar.

Talking about Sara’s appearance in the show, Kareena said: “I am sure that it’s definitely the best episode because Sara and Saif are deadly combination of beauty and brains which is quite rare in this industry.”

If the buzz from film circles is to be believed, Megastar Chiranjeevi will soon team up with star director Trivikram.According to reports, Trivikram has a story idea for Chiranjeevi that was instantly liked by the latter. However, Chiranjeevi is committed to do his next film for Koratala Siva.

#Chiru152 will start rolling once Megastar is done with the shooting of magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy directed by Surender Reddy. Therefore, Trivikram’s film could be the 153rd film of Megastar.Trivikram is currently busy with the script work of his next film with Allu Arjun. He will start working on the Mega project after completing the stylish star’s film.

Interestingly, all the top ranked directors are queuing up to work with Chiranjeevi now. Megastar will be busy with these films until 2020.So there is still some time for Megastar to switch to doing multi-starrers and character roles.

Chennai: This is not the first time actors are slammed for their onscreen portrayal of smoking cigarettes by politicians and self styled patrons of moral policing.It was Thalapathy Vijay’s cigarette clad first look of his recent film Sarkar which drew flakes from former union health minister Dr Anbumani Ramadoss who called the gesture of Vijay ‘shameful’.

Dr Anbumani Ramadoss always raises voice for antismoking campaign and takes a dig at Rajini, Vijay and other mass heroes who glorify smoking on screen.Now, it seems it is the turn of his father and PMK party leader Dr S. Ramadoss who has criticised the first look poster of Vishal’s Ayogya which was released recently.In the poster the leggy actor is seen sitting on a police jeep with a beer bottle in his hand.

Dr Ramadoss took to his social media handle and in a series of tweets wrote: “The promo posters of Vishal film Ayogya featuring him with beer bottles should be removed immediately. What’s Vishal trying to imply through this poster? Being the secretary of Nadigar Sangam, I expect some kind of social responsibility from him”.

The politician added sarcastically , “I had earlier written to Vishal in his capacity as Nadigar Sangam secretary to ban smoking scenes from films. Now, I see him going one step ahead and flaunting a beer bottle. What a way to display his social responsibility!!!”

A remake of Tollywood hit Temper which featured Jr NTR in the lead, Ayogya directed by Venkat Mohan has Vishal essaying a ruthless cop with Raashi Khanna playing his romantic pair.

Equations in film industry change on day to day basis depending on the market of the hero. And when a hero is in top form, there will be cars lined up at his house, while no one enters even when gates are empty at a time he delivers only flops.

Back then, many producers and other film industry members used to question hero Vijay’s father Govardhana Rao about the film’s release date and else. “I don’t know when the film will release. But whenever it releases, it will become a blockbuster. That’s completely content driven film” is what his father was used to tell. And now, we have to say that his prediction has come true, as the film is reaping profits for Geetha Arts and gang.

Actually, the Senior Devarakonda is the person who insisted on Vijay to pick up Pelli Choopulu movie when our hero thought that the script lacks no proper strength. And rest is history.

For a good film to succeed at the box office, not just talk and grand release, but also the timing of the release that is very important. Had recent biggie like Aravinda Sametha released in a non-holiday season, it would have become tough to make 80+ crores for sure.

If that is the situation of star heroes, then what is it about other upcoming heroes? Especially with Robo 2.0 releasing on November 29th, the next big date for Telugu films is December 21, where a slew of releases including Varun Tej’s Antariksham, Sharwanand’s Padi Padi Lechenu Manasu, Yaatra and Kannada star Yash’s KGF are hitting marquee that day. But here goes the master threat.

Just with the trailers, both the million dollar Hollywood movies Aquaman and Bumblebee became completely sought after films, and they are hitting cinemas on December 21st. Aquaman deals with the story of a kingdom that lives under the water, featuring Game Of Thrones actor Jason Momoa as that underwater prince, with fantastic visual effects as its core strength. Bumblebee is that comedy car (Autobot) from Transformers series, and now a whole new story is weaved around a small teen girl and this Autobot.

Actually, for Varun Tej and Sharwa, the major trump card is overseas box office, a lot of NRI Telugu audiences are eagerly waiting for a good Telugu movie from a time. As both these films are of different genres and feature good actors, surely they will be money spinners. But with Hollywood coming up with these massive entertainers, how far our guys could face the heat is the question.

That said, we have Shahrukh Khan’s Zero hitting cinemas on the very same day, so the box office is literally tight.

Multi-starrers are the flavor of the season and if reports are anything to go by, we have Natural Star Nani teaming up with another hero for another two-hero film. Though his recent outing DevaDas didn’t impress the audiences, he is keen on doing this multiple hero films.

Director Mohan Krishna Indraganti, who is running high on the success of Sammohanam, is said to be coming up with a breezy entertainer now. Being produced by Dil Raju, this film is likely to have Nikhil other than Nani.

Earlier this film was rumoured to be the multi-starrer featuring Nani and Sharwa, but now it has become a Nani-Nikhil film. Though there is no official confirmation regarding the same, we hear that Dil Raju is excited about this combo. And also with Nani and Indraganti delivering films like Ashta Chamma and Gentleman earlier, naturally there will be high expectations on their third outing.

Cut to other films, Nani’s next film is Jersey which will deal with cricket and love of a middle-class guy belonging to the 90s.
