If the YSRCP were to move a no-confidence motion against the TDP in the Assembly, will the Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao honour it and allow the proceedings?No way because he behaves more like a TDP MLA, out to protect the interests of his Party than as an impartial Speaker out to do justice to the august House of Assembly. And it’s the same situation everywhere more or less across the nation including in Parliament.

Therefore, the statement of the TDP MPs to the media today is really amusing.“After having not approved our motion the last time, the Speaker has approved our no-confidence motion. She is finally convinced about our resoluteness,” said the TDP MPs.The Speaker has approved their resolution because she has apparently got sanction from the Central government.

Anyway, Narendra Modi’s govt is going to win the no-confidence motion with consummate ease. But Naidu intends to utilize the occasion to shame the BJP at the national level. Fine!But the very fact that the Speaker approved of the no-confidence motion should set the alarm bells ringing for the TDP! Why is the government not scared of its reputation being tarnished by the TDP? What is the ace in their sleeve?

Leaders are indulging in personal attacks using abusive language against their rivals – whether it is Bonda Uma and Buddha Venkanna of Telugu Desam Party or R K Roja of YSR Congress or Kanna Lakshminarayana of Bharatiya Janata Party.

On Thursday, it was the turn of YSR Congress party’s Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy who used a vulgar word against TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

He described Naidu as “fourth gender,” a very serious comment by any politician.

“He is neither male nor female. He is not even a transgender, but a fourth gender. He is like the one who plays a dual role in natural sexual activity,” Sai Reddy said.

Apparently, he is referring to Naidu’s attack on the BJP by moving a no-confidence motion against the Centre, while maintaining friendly relations with the party secretly.

Reacting to Sai Reddy’s comments against Naidu, TDP MLA Buddha Venkanna said the YSRC MP had lost all his brains so much that he did not understand what he was speaking.

“He is licking the boots of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. That is why, he is not tolerating our no-confidence motion against the Centre,” he criticised.

On the other hand, TDP general secretary and minister for IT Nara Lokesh took pot shots at YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for heckling at the No. 1 rank obtained by the Naidu government in Ease of Doing Business.

Lokesh, in his official Twitter account tweeted on Thursday: “How can we expect Dongabbai to know about getting a rank in #EoDB. Ask him about corruption or deal-making in the backend, he will know. No wonder he has questions about AP’s No 1 rank and CBI has questions about his No 1 rank in corruption. #CorruptionKingJagan”.

It has been quite some time since one has heard about firebrand MLA from Kodangal A Revanth Reddy. For the last few weeks, there was no information about where he is and what he is doing.

The MLA, who joined the Congress party with high hopes that he would get a prominent position and the responsibility of steering the party to victory, has quietly slipped into oblivion after he realised that the high command had taken him for a ride and was not going to give him any important role in the party. This was unpalatable for Revanth, who was an uncrowned king in the Telangana TDP, where he used to call shots.

Inquiries revealed that Revanth had gone to the United States to take break from the dirty politics in the Congress party.

“He went to the US on a personal trip. He will return shortly, but unless there is some action plan involving him in the party, he is unlikely to take active part in the Congress,” a source close to him said.

What is humiliating to Revanth is that there was none in the party who is bothered to find out where he is and why he had gone to the US.

“It looks like the top leaders in the TPCC have virtually ignored him and are not bothered to find out why he was not coming to Gandhi Bhavan. That is the importance he is getting in the Congress party,” the source said.
