Watch: Chota Kisses Kajal on Stage
Cinematographer Chota K Naidu took everyone by surprise. He planted a kiss on her face in presence of all at an event.
While Kajal tried to hug him as a friendly gesture at the teaser launch of ‘Kavacham’, he hugged her and tried to kiss her. His lips touched her face even as she tried to push back.
She got shocked with his behaviour but recovered back in seconds to make the situation light. She jokingly said Chota did a ‘chance pe dance’ stint, meaning he used the chance.
Moreover, he came up with a strange explanation on stage. She later said he is like family, so she is not prolonging this embarrassing incident further.
A Big Change In Nithya Menen!
Talented actress Nithya Menen has attitude problem. She doesn’t like when anybody comments on her weight and defends herself by saying she would do roles that prefer her personality. Likewise Nithya lost many opportunities in Telugu which she eventually dented her chances of becoming a star heroine.
Now this Malayalam beauty is doing supporting roles and soon she would mark her debut in Bollywood with ‘Mission Mangal.’ This film has Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Taapsee Pannu in the lead cast. Nithya is said to be doing a prominent role as well in the movie and for her role, she is toning down her weight.
Bollywood being the biggest film industry in the country and filmmakers in Mumbai like heroines being slim and trim, Nithya wants to cash the opportunity with ‘Mission Mangal.’ She has already started working out and is spending extra hours to lose as much weight as possible at the earliest. If Nithya seriously had put some efforts, she could have been the star heroine in Tollywood by now.
Anyway it was her choice, we can’t do much anything about it.
Pay Me 4 Lakhs Or No Way, Says Comedian!
One of the most important roles in a film is that of comedian these days. There are times where some films ran merely due to the presence of star comedians like Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, 30-years Prithvi, and Vennela Kishore. In this shining list, there is one more unforgettable name too.
After biting flops back to back, the and only Sunil Varma has turned to comedian roles again. However his first comeback role in Aravinda Sametha hasn’t shown any of that comic side, but we hear that in Amar Akbar Antony he has rocked it with his timing, which we could notice a bit in the trailer too. There started his demands now.
Apparently, Sunil is demanding close to 4 lakhs per day for any film and he is not willing to take up the role if his remuneration demand is not met. Recently he is said to have rejected films like Jersey that wanted him to tone down his remuneration. And the makers are opting for a quick alternative, Vennela Kishore, who charges 2+ lakhs per day.
In case if Sunil stuns everyone with his timing in Amar Akbar Antony, then his demand of 4 lakhs/day will be met easily. But if that role fails, he has to trim down his demand.
Ileana: On #MeToo, Andrew & Tollywood
Ileana, one of the popular starts who ruled Tollywood a decade ago has now become busy in Bollywood. After a gap of six years, the actor is now part of a Telugu film which is releasing on November 16. Here is what she has to say about Amar Akbar Anthony and more of her personal life.
Can we call AAA as your comeback film?
I don’t call it a comeback. It was just some gap in between because I was busy in Bollywood. Though I was looking for offers here, I haven’t found anything that impressive in whatever I have received till now. I got many special song requests too but I was just not convinced with the roles I was getting. It doesn’t mean that I did not want to come here. I was ready to manage call sheets too, but things didn’t go well here.
Why did you say yes to this film?
I would always say yes to work with Ravi Teja and he is definitely a good person to work with. Irrespective of the number of films I have done with him, the story of this film was good and I play a key role in Amar, Akbar and Anthony’s lives. I loved the script. It has big cast and all of them are really nice to me.
How was the dubbing?
Sreenu has convinced to dub for this film and I enjoyed it. In the contract itself, I signed that I won’t be doing the dubbing. But Sreenu felt that I should give it a try. So that is why I did it and really enjoyed it. I have never dubbed for any films because I just hate listening to my voice.
Tell us about your relationship with Andrew. What is the current status?
We are in a happy relationship and I don’t like to talk anything else or more about it. I have an Instagram page and whatever I have to say, I would like to tell my fans there. We are not married, but are happy in the current status. I post only a little about my personal life because it is my personal life and not public life.
Do you support #MeToo movement? Do you have any stories to share?
I do support and I am glad that women are coming out and speaking about it. It needs a lot of courage to say that they were sexually harassed and more power to them. Yes, even I have stories to share but I think I will talk about it when the right time comes.
PIL Against Naidu For Wasting Public Money!
Bharatiya Janata Party national official spokesman and Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao, who has become a thorn in the flesh of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu of late, is all set to trouble the latter once again.
GVL is now contemplating filing a public interest litigation petition in the state high court seeking to restrain Naidu from wasting public money for political benefits by conducting meetings against the Centre and the BJP and also touring from one place to another for his publicity campaign.
The BJP spokesman said while Naidu was claiming that the state was facing a deep financial crisis, Naidu was heli-hopping from place to place to address political meetings in the name of official programmes.
“We will make him cough up every single paisa he had spent on his luxury trips,” he said.
GVL was referring to Naidu’s tours to Delhi, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to meet the opposition party leaders to make them gang up against the BJP government at the Centre.
He alleged that Naidu had toured these places in the capacity of the chief minister at the expense of public exchequer, instead of as party president at his own expenses.
“He says it is a historical necessity to unite all the opposition parties. But in fact, it is his personal necessity that is forcing him to meet the opposition leaders. He is facing existential problem.
“We are not against Naidu meeting other opposition leaders, but are opposing his political tours only at the cost of taxpayers’ money.
“We condemn the misuse of public money on special flights and luxury hotels for political image-building,” he said.
Mega Publicity For Peanut Help, Mr Naidu?
The devastating Cyclone Titli wreaked havoc in Srikakulam in October and Telugu Desam Party government headed by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had to incur the wrath of the people for failing to predict the magnitude of the cyclone and also for poor relief works.
Yet, Naidu government went on to claim that it had done tremendous rescue and relief work in the cyclone affected areas, though media has still been reporting about lack of assistance to the victims even now.
Not just making tall claims, the chief minister went on to spend huge amounts on publicity stating that he had become a saviour for the cyclone victims.
On Monday, power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, who happened to notice a huge advertisement on a bus which read: “Titli toofan badhithulaku Andhra Pradesh Prabhutvam Kondantha Anda” (Mountainous help from Andhra Pradesh government for Titli cyclone victims).”
It has several pictures of Naidu calling on the cyclone victims pasted all around the bus.
Naturally, the advertisement agitated Pawan, who personally visited the affected areas and talked to victims.
He made a sarcastic comment on his twitter handle: “TDP Govt, help for Titli victims is peanuts, but publicity!! .. the size of an Everest!!! This reminds me of a quote of Abraham Lincoln: “What kills a skunk is the publicity it gives itself.”
He even attached a press clipping which stated that the cyclone victims were yet to get the relief and compensation, notwithstanding the tall claims by the Naidu government.
Even before the government took any relief measures, Naidu, known for his publicity mania, put up massive hoardings in Vijayawada and Amaravati areas on how he was personally supervising relief works in Srikakulam.
Some hoardings also showed that womenfolk in cyclone hit areas are offering “harathi” to Naidu to show their appreciation for his hard work. All for cheap publicity!
NTR Is Bahubali, But Is Naidu A Kattappa?
It has been more than two decades since Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu usurped power from his father-in-law and TDP founder N T Rama Rao in a midnight coup.
Though Naidu has established himself as an undisputed king of the TDP, he is yet to overcome the stigma of being a “back-stabber” of NTR and time and again, his political rivals recall the August 1995 crisis and call him: “pillanichina maamake vennu potu podichina drohi” (a betrayer, who back-stabbed his own father-in-law).
After the success of Telugu film director S S Rajamouli’s historic film series “Baahubali,” the back-stabbing of a person by his own close confidant came to the fore, reminding of NTR-Chandrababu Naidu episode.
In the film, hero Baahubali is backstabbed by his own loyalist Kattappa, whom he was calling “maamaa” (uncle).
On Sunday, Bharatiya Janata Party national secretary Sunil Deodhar compared the back-stabbing of Baahubali by Kattappa with NTR being backstabbed by Naidu.
“While NTR fought valiantly with the Congress party like a Baahubali, Naidu joined hands with the same Congress party thereby backstabbing NTR’s ideals like what Kattappa did in case of Bahubali,” he said.
However, the comparison of Naidu with Kattappa did not go down well with some BJP workers.
“NTR could be compared with Baahubali, but how can Naidu be compared with Kattappa? In the film, Kattappa backstabbed Baahubali not for his personal sake but to obey the orders of the Rajamatha. He never aspired to become the king of Maahishmati. But Naidu backstabbed NTR for the sake of power and capturing the party,” a BJP leader commented.
Buzz: Dangal-Like Look For NTR
RRR has finally gotten underway and plans are now afoot for the shooting which will start on the 19th.
The biggest budgeted film in Tollywood till date was launched yesterday and visitors were surprised by the appearance of NTR who was looking quite beefy with a heavy beard.
Insiders say that NTR will have the same physique in the film pretty much along the likes of Aamir Khan in Dangal but with a trimmed beard.
As for Ram Charan, the major difference would be in his hair styling only.

She is undergoing treatment for weight loss in Austria where the detox programme is conducted with organic medicines in naturopathic style.Thirty six-year-old Anushka Shetty has not signed any movies post release of “Bhaagamathie”.
Since she’s losing weight, people felt that she’s doing it for her impending wedding. However, her manager says no marriage has been fixed for her.
Where Is Sujana Chowdary?
It is extremely significant that in all of Chandrababu Naidu’s meetings with prominent regional political party heads or national politicians, missing in action is his once-favourite Sujana Chowdary.Earlier, Chandrababu would never step out for any meeting with anyone, anywhere without Sujana Chowdary by his side.
Now, it is only ‘Root Canal’ Ramakrishnudu, Weight Loss expert CM Ramesh, Zero Planning Khambamphati Ram Mohan Rao and latest entrant to Rajya Sabha K Ravindra Kumar who are accompanying Chandrababu Naidu.
The writing is on the wall and it seems to be the end of the road for Sujana Chowdary who was instrumental in galvanizing funds for the TDP in 2014 and was rewarded with a Rajya Sabha berth for it.
