#RRR Massive Launch – Chiranjeevi, K.Raghavendra Rao
Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Raghavendra Rao have graced the launch event of the massive multi-starrer ‘RRR’ (working title) as chief guests. The launch ceremony is a low key one and surprisingly the media was not invited.
Heroes Jr NTR and Ram Charan also attended the launch. NTR seems to be working on this new look and so he is spotted with thick beard while Ram Charan is seen in all black as he is praying Aiyappa.
Director Raghavendra did the honours of handing over the script to Rajamouli, NTR, Ram Charan and producer DVV Danayya.
‘AAA’ trailer: A Combo Of Mass & Comedy
The fourth film of Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja and director Sreenu Vaitla’s combination ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ had its trailer launch at the pre-release event.
The trailer starts off with director Vaitla’s voiceover who says, “Ee Prapanchamlo Shakthi Chaalaka, Nammakam Nilebettukoka Kondaru Unte… Shakthi Mera Naya Vanchana Chese Vallu Kokollalu.” Then the visuals shift to Ravi Teja, where he is spotted in a prison and he is pretty sure of not returning to the same place.
Followed by his introduction as Mark Anthony, a psychiatrist and his patient is Teresa played by Ileana but is a violent lady. In no time he appears as Akbar and Amar. While establishing these characters, the plot is also partially disclosed that the protagonist is on a mission.
Ravi Teja too shows variation in each character without missing out his energetic levels.
Shot completely in the United States, the visuals give an intriguing impact and Vaitla’s mark of comedy elements are ample along with an engaging plot. Thaman’s music too is notable to the trailer.
The production values by Mythri Movie Makers are grand and ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ is releasing on November 16th.
Balayya Slows Down On #NTR!
We have already expressed this doubt, what will #NTR team will do until January 2019, to make sure that the interesting around the film will be sustained. Now, even family members of the Nandamuri’s are also said to have expressed the same thing.
From sometime, already various pictures from Mahanayakudu and Kathanayakudu are doing rounds on the internet as the makers of prestigious NTR biopic released them. All those pictures have surely raised many eyebrows for their authentic portrayal of some of the iconic scenes that took places in legendary NTR’s real life.
That said there came a position where the makers are falling short of more such photos, which they have to release for the next two and half months, until January 9th, the sustained hype on the film. After coming to know about this, Balayya has asked Krish and team to go slow on releasing the looks.
For the next couple of months, we may not be hearing much from the #NTR team when it comes to sharing these pictures. From January 1st week, they will be promoting the film aggressively, says a source.
#NextExit: Bihar’s LJP From NDA?
After TDP walked out of NDA, there have been speculations that it could trigger other allies to exit the NDA against BJP’s high-handedness and indifference towards its allies. With TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu uniting all anti-BJP parties, political circles are rife with rumours that Lok Janshakti Party founded by Ram Vilas Paswan of Bihar is planning to break ties with the BJP.
Ram Vilas Paswan who has been a long-time political friend of Chandrababu has apparently shown interest to support the Alternative Front that the TDP Chief is trying to form. In July this years, the LJP has warned the BJP that it is unhappy with the saffron party. The LJP had, in July, demanded the Centre for an ordinance to restore the original provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The LJP has been protesting against the Centre’s attitude for being “anti-Dalit.”
Following the Centre’s inaction, Paswan had said: “We will cross the bridge when the time comes,” hinting at their exit from the NDA. The LJP, which has six MPs in the Lok Sabha, draws its core support from the Dalits in Bihar and has often switched sides between rival alliances ahead of elections. The party was in the United Progressive Alliance before it joined hands with the BJP in 2014.
Comment: This Is Best Option For Chiranjeevi
Reports are everywhere that Megastar Chiranjeevi is going to quit Congress party very soon in the wake of the party’s unethical alliance with ruling Telugudesam Party in Andhra Pradesh. So what is the best option for the Megastar now in case if he resigns.
As Chiru appeared at Pawan’s house for a ceremony other day, there are widespread rumors that he will be joining Janasena party after he wraps his time in the Congress. But that will not be the best option. Even if he quits Congress, it is better to take retirement from politics than to pursue interests in Janasena Party. Any effort to join Janasena will badly affect whatever Pawan Kalyan has constructed all these days with his upright talks and effervescent blasting of opposition.
Though Megastar already clarified that either he will be in Congress or retire, some of the recent developments led to doubts that he might join his younger brother’s new political party. That will make detractors deduce the opinion that Janasena is nothing but Prajarajyam 2 Point O. And if people also believe that opinion, it is not going to help.
For now, Chiranjeevi remained silent about his next move, he is neither meeting Rahul Gandhi nor attending any Congress meetings.
#MeToo movement has been hijacked by some self-interest: Vishal
Tamil film star Vishal Krishna, General Secretary of the South Indian Artistes Association and President of Tamil Film Producers Council, is working relentlessly with his peers to knock down the walls that separate sexual harassment in the different film industries in India.
“Whether it is Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam or Kannada cinema, the workplace must be made conducive to actress’ safety and comfort. The fear of losing job opportunities must stop. Girls must not succumb to sexual pressures just to get work,” said Vishal.
Women, he said, must feel safe while working in the entertainment industry.
“And I am not just talking about the Tamil industry or the Telugu industry, but all the film industries in India — be it Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri… All must unite on the issue of providing safety for women on film sets, and off the sets where there is so much exploitation,” he said.
So would he agree that there is a need to provide protection from sexual explotation?
“Oh yes, there most definitely is. And we’re working towards ensuring it. My new release ‘Sandakozhi 2′ features two major female characters, played by Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Both were ensured complete safety. When my films are shot, I will ensure the women are well looked after. We need to create the same comfort level for women in cinema across the country.”
Though Vishal is all for the #MeToo movement, he feels the issue is getting tangled with personal agendas.
“#MeToo started off with the best of intentions of exposing sexual predators. But somewhere, the movement has been hijacked by some amount of self interest. We’ve come to a stage when anyone who has an axe to grind, maybe a role that was denied or a project that was promised and never fulfilled, coming forward to take revenge.
“It has come to a stage where I feel I may wake up to hear my name being maligned. This atmosphere of distrust, suspicion and fear must stop.”
While he feels the exploitation must stop, he also feels the stars’ names are being pulled down for personal reasons.
“There is a difference between exploitation and a consensual relationship. I’ve dated a couple of girls from the film industry. It doesn’t mean I’ve exploited them.”
Sonia to campaign in KCR’s turf?
Former Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi has so far not campaigned for the party in any of the ongoing assembly elections in the north – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh or Rajasthan. But, she is getting ready to campaign in Telangana very soon.
According to party sources, Sonia Gandhi has agreed to campaign in Telangana for two days after November 19, much to the jubilation of the state party leaders. She is expected to address three public meetings each in north and south Telangana. The state leaders are chalking out her tour plan in consultation with AICC.
If the party leaders are to be believed, Sonia Gandhi would address a massive public meeting at Gajwel assembly constituency, represented by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The Congress has fielded strong leader Vanteru Pratap Reddy and Sonia’s meeting will be a direct challenge to KCR on his home turf.
The Congress leaders are hopeful that Sonia Gandhi’s visit will give a huge fillip to the party in giving a tough fight to the TRS. “She will be our trump card in the elections. People have not forgotten the fact that it was Sonia who had granted the Telangana state. She is the mother of Telangana. She will explain why she had to give Telangana, risking the party’s future in Andhra. She will speak about how KCR’s family had misused the power given to the Telangana people and tell them that the very purpose of granting Telangana state was lost,” a Congress leader said.
If Sonia can send the message strongly into the people, it will bring tremendous mileage to the Congress in the elections,” he added.
Sanjay Dutt Abuses Media at his Diwali party
Sanjay Dutt and Maanayata Dutt hosted a glitzy Diwali bash at their residence earlier this week. Now, a shocking video from the sidelines of the party has made its way to the internet.In the clip, Sanjay is seen hurling abuses at the photographers and asking them to leave.
“Diwali hai b*******d, ghar jao na,” he is heard telling the photographers gathered outside his residence. He also asks them whether they want to celebrate the festival of lights with their families.”Tumhari boss ki m** ka b*****, b*******d,” he is heard saying, when one paparazzo tells him that their boss asked them to work.
The video has left netizens shocked. One Twitter user shared this video on his account and wrote, “Few months back, Biopic of this guy made 300 Crores. (sic)” Many others also slammed him and called him “rowdy” and a “spoilt brat”.On the work front, Sanjay will be seen next in Girish Malik’s Torbaaz, which is based on the lives of child suicide bombers of Afghanistan. The film also stars Nargis Fakhri and Rahul Dev.
