Kajol Sparks Debate with ‘Haunted’ Remark on Ramoji Film City

Bollywood actress Kajol, one of Indian cinema’s most iconic performers, recently stirred conversations with her comments about Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. During a promotional interview for her upcoming film MAA, Kajol candidly shared that she has often felt “haunted vibes” while shooting at the popular studio complex.
While she didn’t cite specific events, the actress remarked that certain spots within the premises felt unsettling, admitting she often felt an urge to leave immediately. Calling it “one of the most haunted places in the world,” her comments quickly went viral, prompting a flurry of responses on social media.
Reactions have been mixed—some viewers dismissed her remarks as a personal perception, while others criticized the idea of labeling such a renowned production hub in this way. Many pointed out Ramoji Film City’s legacy as one of the most significant and versatile filming locations in Indian cinema, hosting countless Bollywood, Tollywood, and other regional film shoots.
Interestingly, Kajol has shot multiple projects at Ramoji over the years. Her husband, actor Ajay Devgn, continues to work there frequently and was recently featured in the Telugu hit RRR. Despite never having acted in a Telugu film herself, Kajol’s opinions continue to make headlines, owing to her stature in the industry.
Whether Kajol will clarify her remarks or let them stand remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the discussion has reignited a broader debate on how personal experiences shared by celebrities can influence public perception—especially when tied to cultural landmarks like Ramoji Film City.
21 Years of Lakshya: A Timeless Tale of Purpose and Patriotism

Released in 2004, Lakshya continues to stand tall as one of Indian cinema’s most emotionally powerful and introspective war dramas. Directed by Farhan Akhtar and produced by Excel Entertainment and UTV Motion Pictures, the film is remembered not for large-scale action, but for its soulful narrative and emotional depth.
The story follows Karan Shergill, played by Hrithik Roshan, an aimless young man who finds purpose and identity through the Indian Army. This coming-of-age arc, set against the backdrop of the Kargil War, resonated with audiences for its honesty and layered storytelling. Preity Zinta and Amitabh Bachchan added gravitas to the film, while the evocative music by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar made the emotional journey unforgettable.
Marking 21 years since its release, Farhan Akhtar took to social media with a heartfelt message:
“Celebrating 21 years of a story about finding purpose, one step at a time. #21YearsOfLakshya”
More than just a war film, Lakshya explored themes of identity, commitment, and self-realization — making it a timeless story that continues to inspire new generations.
As Lakshya completes over two decades, Excel Entertainment is now working on its next war drama, 120 Bahadur. Based on the historic Battle of Rezang La, this upcoming film will honor the valour of Major Shaitan Singh and the 120 brave soldiers of Charlie Company. While Lakshya portrayed fictional heroism, 120 Bahadur will bring real-life courage to the screen — continuing Farhan Akhtar’s journey of telling stories that celebrate inner strength and national pride.
From Lakshya to 120 Bahadur, the legacy of cinematic storytelling rooted in purpose, honor, and emotion lives on.
8 Vasantalu Earns Praise for Unique Story and Passionate Performances

When a leading Pan-India production house like Mythri Movie Makers supports a small-scale film such as 8 Vasantalu, it underscores the project’s powerful storytelling and artistic merit.
At the film’s pre-release event, director Phanindra Narsetti expressed heartfelt gratitude to the production house for believing in the film. He reserved special praise for lead actress Ananthika Sanilkumar, highlighting her rare dedication and maturity.
“Ananthika never even brought up remuneration during our discussions. For a 17-year-old to make such a choice shows how deeply committed she is. That kind of passion is extraordinary,” said Phanindra.
He also offered a glimpse into the film’s unique narrative structure. “The story unfolds in reverse from the very first scene, so don’t be late to the theatre. Many asked why I didn’t opt for a commercial formula. But 8 Vasantalu goes beyond conventional love—it delivers a powerful emotional climax, especially during the fight sequence set in Varanasi.”
Ananthika Sanilkumar, who plays the character Shuddhi, shared her emotional connection with the film. “Though I’ve worked in a few films, 8 Vasantalu is on a different level. Shuddhi is a layered and strong character, and portraying her was truly a dream. I’m thankful to Phani sir and Mythri Movie Makers for this opportunity.”
The producers revealed that casting Ananthika came after a nationwide search. The role required someone adept in both classical dance and martial arts—skills she possessed in abundance.
With a blend of action, emotion, and artistry, 8 Vasantalu is shaping up to be a distinctive cinematic experience that promises to leave a lasting impact on audiences.
