For years, fans have wanted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to have a presence on  social media to connect with her daily life in addition to her life on-screen and finally the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress gave in and made her Instagram debut.

“I didn’t want to join any kind of social media for the longest time because I felt it was a last race. Everyone was getting into it like it was some barometer of popularity and everyone wants to put everything out. It’s a constant energy drain.

At the same time, I’ve had so many well-wishers worldwide saying that they enjoyed the connect so they would be creating these sites. And, I think I just finally gave in, just to Instagram, because it’s easy and I’m just beginning and it’s going to be extremely slow. Hopefully steady, so let’s see,” Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Ever since then, she has posted pictures of herself, moments from the 71st Cannes Film Festival,  which she was attending recently and photos with her daughter Aaradhya.

However, now, the actress has posted a picture of her Lower KG days and we had a hard time spotting her.

No Heroine Keen To Work With That Hero

Share

As we all know, one of the biggest problems for Tollywood is lack of heroines. Newbies are given chances if and only if they look striking. Audiences are bored of seeing faces of senior heroines who worked opposite all top stars.

The new girls at one stage disappear after doing films alongside medium to small range heroes. However, a small time hero is facing a strange situation. It is heard that no heroine is interested to share screen space with this hero. They are intentionally refusing offers in his films. He is neither a small hero nor a medium range hero.

Though he doesn’t have any family background, he fortunately has Rs 10 cr market value. He even has good name of doing unique and concept based films. Right now producers of his only film are finding it tough to find a heroine.

They tried four heroines and finally signed an aged actress, even though many criticized them for the choice. A crazy, plump looking heroine who has done only one film is signed for the film and she was even paid Rs 5 lakh as advance amount. Much to their shock, this heroine gave back their cheque saying she can’t do the film.

But the producers could not divulge all these details to the hero as the aged heroine does not have any other film in Telugu. They will soon be starting the shoot of the film. One wonders why no heroine is showing any enthusiasm to act alongside this young hero?

Naidu proves opportunistic once again!

Share

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s statements hailing the formation of Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition government in Karnataka has not gone down well with Bharatiya Janata Party.

The saffron party has taken serious exception to Naidu’s criticism that the BJP had sought to murder the democracy by trying to poach the Congress, JD (S) MLAs to retain power.

And as if rubbing salt to the BJP wounds, Naidu has declared that he is going to attend the swearing-in ceremony of JD (S) leader H D Kumaraswamy at Bengaluru in Karnataka on Wednesday.“It clearly shows the rank opportunism of the TDP president. He does not hesitate to change his stand if it suits his political needs.

After sailing with the BJP all these years, he is now moving towards the Congress party and not hesitating to shake hands with the very party which had been the TDP’s rival since its foundation,” senior BJP leader and party general secretary Suresh Reddy said.

He said if Naidu goes to Kumaraswamy’s swearing-in ceremony, it would mean insulting late N T Rama Rao, the founder of the TDP.“It will hurt his soul. Naidu has virtually mortgaged the self-respect of Telugus before Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi,” he criticised.

Former Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya also found fault with Naidu for supporting the Congress-JD (S) coalitio. He said Naidu had no moral right to criticise the BJP’s attempt to form a government in Karnataka, it being the single largest party.

He also attacked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for secretly supporting the Congress party in the name of his proposed federal front.“If KCR attends Kumaraswamy’s swearing-in ceremony, it amounts to him backing the Congress-led coalition,” Dattatreya said.

Now, Pawan looks like a True Politician!

Actor-turned-Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan seems to have overcome his initial inhibitions in politics and tentativeness in his political moves.

He is now looking like a true politician, expressing his ambitions of coming to power, seeking people’s blessings to become the next chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and castigating the ruling Telugu Desam Party and opposition parties including the YSR Congress party and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

His “Jana Portata Yatra” which entered the second day in Srikakualm on Monday has been evoking tremendous response. And, Pawan is speaking with more clarity now than he was in the past. He declared that he was not acting at the behest of any political party either in Delhi or in the state.

“I am not a puppet of anybody. I have my own philosophy and vision and I entered politics only after making an extensive study of the political situation,” he said.

He extended apology to the people for supporting the TDP-BJP combine in 2014 elections and said he would not repeat the mistake in 2019.

While attacking the BJP for denying special category status to Andhra, Pawan also threw challenge to the TDP for an open debate on the issue.

“It was only the Jana Sena that had been sincerely fighting for the cause whereas Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had done countless flip-flops,” he said.He alleged that Naidu was afraid of demanding the rightful share of the state from the BJP in the last four years, because he was scared of the saffron party.

“He is now blaming the Centre for everything only to cover up his failures,” he said.Pawan was also critical of the YSR Congress saying it failed to be an effective opposition.

“By abstaining from the assembly, it had run away its responsibility of highlighting the people’s issues and its leader is on the roads only with an ambition of becoming the chief minister,” he criticised.

‘Cheap’ Propaganda on NTR-Trivikram Film?

Share

Even as the overseas rights of NTR-Trivikram’s Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava is yet to be closed, rumour mongers are busy spreading malicious propaganda on the film it seems. It is rumoured that the the film’s overseas theatrical rights along with two other films belonging to the same production house was sold for a meagre Rs 15.3 Crore. Now, this is raising several suspicions on the reports surrounding such rumours. Even anyone with basic knowledge on overseas trade would quash it as baseless since the overseas rights of NTR-Trivikram film alone would be more or less on par with it.

It is suspected that a conspiracy being chalked out to kill the overseas rights of Tarak-Trivikram’s film. Consider the below a few points that counter the rumours on Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava.

Although Trivikram Srinivas’ last outing Agnyaathavaasi was a disaster at the Box Office, the star director still enjoys good sway over the US and Overseas market. Given that his films in the past (including A..Aa) broke several records in the US and elsewhere in the overseas arena, still there is a huge craze for Trivikram’s film irrespective of the performance of his last film.

In fact, Trivikram’s collaboration with NTR who is on a success spree is a hot film for trade. Also considering that NTR’s immediate next would be a mega multi-starrer to be directed by Rajamouli which would take at least another 1.5 years to release, overseas buyers are said to be ready to stretch their budgets to bag NTR-Trivikram film.

On the other hand, the makers of NTR-Trivikram have two other good films – Maruthi-Naga Chaitanya film and Sharwanand-Sudheer Varma film – in the kitty. Maruthi’s Bhale Bhale Magadivoy had got success in the US and Overseas. Sharwa and Sudheer Varma too have decent following in the abroad. So, the makers are estimating that the overseas rights of the three films combine including NTR-Trivikram’s ASVR would be pegged not less than Rs 20 Crore to Rs 25 Crore. This is contrary to rumours that the overseas rights for all three films together was closed at meagre Rs 15 Crore.

For instance, consider Mahesh Babu who is the overseas king. Even after his Brahmotsavam and Spyder bombed, Mahesh and Koratala Siva’s Bharat Ane Nenu’s overseas rights have fetched a whopping Rs 18.2 Crore from the trade. Same is with Sukumar, notwithstanding the result of his One-Nenokkadine, the overseas business for Nannaku Prematho has earned good monies.

So, nonetheless NTR-Trivikram’s film alone would cost a chunk of the deal whereas the other two films – Chaitu and Sharwa – would get not less than 6-7 Crore for the whole overseas’ theatrical rights.

By and large, just one disaster of Trivikram can’t take away his huge market in overseas and especially when he is collaborating with a big star like NTR. Looks like, the final deal value would put a stop to all those ‘cheap’ propaganda surrounding Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava.

Who’s Behind This First Look?

Share

Ever since the striking first look of NTR from Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava is out, the look has become talking point for its classy title and massy first look. No doubt, the chiseled body of NTR with his six pack abs certainly taken fans by storm, but the critics have their own doubts over the look and title being different.

As we dug deeper into it, it is learnt that NTR was behind the look. NTR said to have enamoured by this stunning look of himself and wanted Trivikram and producer Radha Krishna to unveil this as the first look on the eve of his birthday. Since it’s NTR’s request and that too for his birthday, no one could say no.

Apparently, Tarak voted for this title and the makers have readily agreed for it. In fact, NTR has been taking special care on his 28th film. Be it the change of music director (Anirudh Ravichander) or replacement of heroine (Anu Emmanuel), several changes in the film’s crew were rumoured to be taken at the behest of NTR.

Even regarding the script, Tarak has taken ample time before finalizing the final draft. All these indicate that NTR is very conscious about the film and is leaving no leaf unturned to make his first film with Trivikram a remarkable one. Let’s hope so.

Preity Zinta Trolled For Celebrating Mumbai Indians’ Exit

Share

Yesterday was yet another forgettable day for Bollywood actress and Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta. Her team exited even before reaching the playoffs in the ongoing IPL, after a defeat in the hands of Chennai Super Kings last night.

Kings XI Punjab was one of the prime contenders to secure a berth in the playoffs along with Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians. In a deciding match, even Mumbai Indians lost it’s playoffs chances by losing to Delhi Daredevils.

But what provided unlimited entertainment to netizens across the country since last night is a video clip in which Preity was heard saying feebly, “I am just very happy that Mumbai is not going to the finals..Really happy.” Needless to say, the video went viral on social media and Preity has been trolled heavily ever since.

This morning, Preity had a Twitter chat with her followers. When a fan asked her if she really said what was being alleged, the actress further surprised everyone by saying, “Yes cuz that meant we have a Chance at the play offs ! Don’t know why people are saying Finals ! That’s so silly & I dont mind Mumbai or another IPL team except when they are playing or completing against us ! It’s natural in sport..specially during the knockout out stages..” Well, looks like Preity’s got nerves of steel.

Nagarjuna’s Bangarraju Back In The Talk

Share

Ever since director Kalyan Krishna has locked Raviteja for “Nela Ticket”, there is a buzz that the supposed film “Bangarraju” is getting made this way. But after watching the trailer of Mass Raja starrer, there came a clarity that Bangarraju is a different subject and this one is different.

During his recent interaction with media, Kalyan Krishna told that he will be working on Nagarjuna’s movie script once this film is released. True to that, his team is said to have started working on Bangarraju script such that the director will give another new narration to Nagarjuna to impress him. There starts the real deal, however.

In the recent times, films with unique content are scoring with audiences and a simple village drama might not work big time. Though Soggade Chinni Nayana worked out well, that happens only once in a decade. But now, if Nagarjuna and Kalyan want to immortalise the Bangarraju character, they should come up with strong script, characters and narrative too.

After watching some of the village dramas like Rangasthalam in the recent times, even Nagarjuna is looking forward to content-rich films. So that’s a daunting task for Kalyan Krishna ahead to carve a classic in the disguise of a masala entertainer.

KCR to skip HDK swearing-in Ceremony?

Share

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is in a dilemma on whether he should attend the swearing-in ceremony of Janata Dal (S) leader H D Kumaraswamy, the chief minister-elect of Karnataka at Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Reason: He is feeling uncomfortable to share the dais with Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi, who would definitely be the centre of attraction at the Kantheerava stadium in Bengaluru.

Though it is technically a government of Kumaraswamy, the majority shareholders in the coalition is the Congress. So, it is a Congress-led government for all practical purposes.

So, if KCR attends the swearing-in ceremony, it would be an embarrassing situation for him back home, where he is fighting the Congress party in the next elections.

Secondly, his counterpart in Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu is also attending the swearing-in ceremony of Kumaraswamy.

If KCR goes there, he may have to face the embarrassment of meeting Naidu, in the wake of recent revival of cash-for-vote case.

At the same time, he cannot avoid attending the ceremony because JDS president H D Deve Gowda himself called him and invited him for the function.

Moreover, several regional party leaders like Mamata Banerjee, Mayawati, Arvind Kejriwal, M K Stalin and others are attending the ceremony.

If KCR, who is spearheading the federal front movement, abstains from swearing-in ceremony, he might have to face the criticism that he is scared of the BJP and that his federal front talk is just an attempt to weaken the Congress!

Sources say KCR may skip the swearing-in ceremony but to avoid criticism, he might depute his daughter K Kavitha and a couple of other senior leaders like K Kesava Rao to attend the same!
