“Mahanati” has choked millions of hearts showcasing how the brightest star has faded away from the sky leaving a deep footprint on every Telugu person.While Tollywood is currently sinking in the delightful yet heavy-hearted feelings raked up by this Nag Ashwin directorial, as the life of legendary actress Savitri sounded a better story than any of the films she’s part of, an interesting discussion is going on about another prestigious biopic.

None other than “NTR” will be that big biopic Tollywood is eagerly waiting for and recently director Teja opted out of this film pushing Balayya to handle direction part as well. Now many are expressing a desire to see Nag Ashwin direct the film as he handled Savitri’s biopic quite well. The idea sounds pretty good, but there are some practical problems here.

To be frank, Nag Ashwin himself got pretty excited with the story of Savitri and has done almost a year research before going to pitch the story and going for the shoot. And now, if he starts reading about NTR, he might take a year or so to understand what is to be made. The big question is, leaving his own thought process, will he just pick up the script developed under Balayya’s supervision and direct it? Even if he does it, can he do similar justice to the story like he did for Mahanati?

If one can find answers for those doubts, then Nag Ashwin could surely wear director’s hat for NTR biopic too!!

In the good olden days, the likes of D Rama Naidu are said to be giving 70% fee and used to ask actors to collect the balance while doing next film. But those days are gone and with producers winding up their shops fast, even actors are asking their dues to be cleared much before the release of the movie itself.

From the last couple of days, a heroine’s absence at the promotional events of one particular film is raising many doubts. Though many felt that she got into a tiff with the hero and hence not appearing, now it’s coming out that the pending payment is the real culprit behind her absence.

Though the producer promised her to clear all the dues before release, he has to pay her still 10 lakhs balance. While she’s getting all the calls to take part in promotional events, the producer is said to be not lifting her calls. And irritated by this happening even her team including her manager and another call-sheet caretaker advised her to not respond to the promotional calls.

Industry talk is that presence of this dazzling siren who lights up events with her ravishing looks will be more helpful for the film. That’s the reason, PR managers are sending a word to the producer to resolve the issue.

In a series of tweets, Poonam alleged that a star Tollywood director had ‘manipulated’ her life and that he acted as if nothing was wrong when she confronted him. “He wants only his girls to b therein this industry. One of his girls has given consistent flops now but will b still given work coz of reasons unknown …what really works in the industry ? #favoratism,” Poonam tweeted.

Naturally, there were non-stop speculations about who that so called star director could be. Social media was abuzz with speculations that Poonam is taking a dig at Trivikram through her sly tweets. Buzz is that Poonam was supposed to do Parvathi Melton’s role in Jalsa and again one of the female leads in Agnyaathavaasi. However, she missed out on both the opportunities which could have redefined her career.

The buzz further speculates that Poonam resorted to fresh allegations as she was not given any role even in Trivikram’s ongoing film with NTR. Poonam said she doesn’t have any proofs as she trusted that star director blindly.

Meanwhile, Poonam mysteriously deleted those tweets, giving rise to another speculation. Twitterati is breaking heads to understand Poonam’s strategy. There are also a few people who opine that Poonam’s high drama is only to gain easy publicity. “So when will the actual truth ever come out?” is the question that’s on everyone’s minds.

What looks so beautiful on the outside sometimes will have thorns pricking on the inside. PSV Garudavega is a solid hit for hero Rajasekhar on the outside, but how much profits he made on the project is the inside thing. And that’s said to be worrying director Praveen Sattaru for his latest project with Ram it seems.

Reports have that though Rajasekhar and Co started the film with around 6 crores budget, it finally shot up to 15 crores. During the release, Jeevitha was rumoured to have mortgaged her assets to get financial clearance. Finally, it made 7.5 crores share from theatres, while the film got sold for 11 crores. Where does the hit talk stand now? Had the same film got made under 8 crores, the makers would have easily got profits from satellite and digital rights.

Looking at this balance sheet, initially, producer Anand Prasad of Bhavya Creations is said to have asked Praveen to give exact budget for his movie with Ram. As the film has to be shot in snow-capped places and with huge visual effects work required, the producer is little firm about the budgets needed.

Due to unknown reasons, the project got shifted to Sravanthi Movies and here also Ram’s uncle is also said to be asking Praveen the same question. “Tell us the total budget please!!”. With lack of clarity over the number of days needed shoot and how to micromanage things in available time, Praveen is said to be struggling to give a proper figure, say some insiders.

From the producer’s side, it’s better to be safe now than to have a delayed film and burned pockets.

Despite being that glamorous heroine, Samantha has picked some interesting projects time and again. Whenever she got chance, she flaunted her acting prowess and impressed everyone. And this time, she has almost scored a hat-trick

Firstly Samantha has blown the minds of audiences with her glamour laced terrific performance in Rangasthalam. As she walked in that tanned look as Rama Lakshmi, many hearts just got skipped into the pockets below. And then, her role as journalist Madhuravani impressed everyone big time as Mahanati took audiences by a surprise. On the same day, Vishal’s Abhimanyudu Tamil version Irimbu Thirai got good ratings from Tamil critics and Samantha’s Rathidevi character got praised. With back to back hits in her kitty, Samantha got elated and feeling quite happy.

But this started some of her hardcore fans to panic. Recently Samantha announced that she will not be taking up any glamorous roles but only author backed ones. And in this hat-trick hits, actually, Rangasthalam and Irumbu Thirai are her glamour treats. So if she leaves those roles, will it be possible to score another such hat-trick easily?
