Nara Lokesh’s Political Retirement At 74!
Speaking at the TDP Dharma Porata Sabha in Tirupati this evening, Nara scion and AP minister Nara Lokesh had made several interesting statements about his future plans for his political career. Lokesh said that he is 34 years old now and that he would like to continue in Andhra Pradesh politics for the next 40 years.
“I don’t know if I will earn the kind of name and fame like my grandfather NT Ramarao and my father Nara Chandrababu Naidu earned in their political career. But I can confidently say that I will not bring bad name to my grandfather and my father,” said Lokesh. He also reminded everyone about how his father is working hard for AP’s welfare even at the age of 68.
In an energetic speech, Lokesh had fired several salvos against YS Jagan and Narendra Modi. Lokesh mocked Jagan, saying that the Leader of Opposition stands in the courts with folded hands on every Friday. He condemned Jagan’s proximity to Modi and for not voicing out Telugus’ angst against the BJP.
Targeting Modi, Lokesh said that the PM will pay for his shameful betrayal to the people of Andhra Pradesh in the 2019 elections. Lokesh also prophesied that his father will be the kingmaker at the centre post the general elections.
Sri, Sridevi and Sri Ma’am… He Did Not Leave Any!
Sridevi’s death was a great shock to all filmgoers, especially to her fans. Two months after Sridevi’s accidental death, her husband Boney Kapoor is heard to be on big plans to make a film on her. If rumors are not false, Boney Kapoor is very serious about making a film or a documentary on his late wife, as a memory.
It is heard that Boney has registered more than 20 titles for this particular film, like Sri, Sridevi, Sri Ma’am with one of the producers’ associations of Bollywood. Boney Kapoor reportedly acquired rights of many other hit films of Sridevi and has registered those titles too on his name, like Chaalbaaz, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Jaanbaaz and Mr. India. Return of Mr. India, which was planned recently also has been registered by Boney Kapoor, who is also a producer.
Though there is nothing certain about Boney preferences on giving the direction offer for this prestigious film on Sridevi, two filmmakers announced their films on Sridevi already. One of them is obviously Ram Gopal Varma, a great admirer of late actress and the other director is Hansal Mehta, who reportedly got plans to direct a film with Sridevi when she was alive, but regrets now for not meeting her earlier. Now he announced to make a film on her and also revealed his views and actors in mind, whom he will approach to play Sridevi.
Hansal Mehta is a national award filmmaker and he said he may ask Vidya Balan to play Sridevi. We still have to wait to know what Boney Kapoor is thinking about and whom he will ask to play Sridevi if all the reports are true. It is no surprise that Jhanvi Kapoor is sure to play a younger Sridevi in this biopic.
Sridevi died by drowning accidentally in Hotel bathtub in Dubai, on February 24.
Karunanidhi Did Not Recognize KCR!
KCR is on meeting spree and is on a mission to unite all possible regional political parties to form a Federal front. As a part of it, the Telangana CM met DMK party leaders in Tamil Nadu the other day. Though there were many topics discussed in brief with those leaders, all the leaders from DMK are looking forward to the formation of Federal front.
During this visit to Tamil Nadu, KCR also met one of the oldest living politicians and DMK Boss, 93 year old Karunanidhi, but the aged politician reportedly could not recognize KCR, at all. Stalin and TR Balu gave two or three vain attempts to introduce KCR to Karunanidhi. Karunanidhi lost most of his memory and due to a respiratory system surgery, he is not able to speak to anyone now.
Kanimozhi too had a brief chat with KCR and reportedly discussed the development activities and measures taken in Telangana for mission Bhageeradha, Kaleswaram project and farmers investment support schemes, while the former particularly appreciated KCR’s efforts in bringing all regional parties and states together into one front.

Relishing a sumptuous authentic meal in Tamil traditional style are Telangana CM KCR and DMK Working President MK Stalin at the latter’s residence. KCR and Co were treated to specially made delicacies in this warm luncheon. TRS MP Kesava Rao, former minister A Raja, Stalin’s son and popular Tamil actor Udhayanidhi Stalin are also seen il at the luncheon.
KCR flew down to Chennai yesterday to seek DMK’s support for his ambitious Federal Front. The TRS supremo had first called on DMK patriarch Karunanidhi and sought his blessings for the Third Front. KCR was later accompanied by Stalin to the latter’s house for lunch. Political analysts are fondly calling it a ‘meal before a deal’!

These are the days where producers are talking largely about collections without worrying about anything like an IT raid. And those posters are becoming fodder for troll batches and anti-fans. After Bharat Anu Nenu, here comes similar experience for Rangasthalam now.
With May 1st being the World Labour Day, Rangasthalam makers have come out with a new poster where the wished all. At the same time, it is printed in big words that the film collected 200 crores gross and as usual, the condition is applied that they are talking about Non-Baahubali collections. Here is the twist, however.
Needless to say, Rangasthalam is holding good even after 31 days of run at the box office. But still few feel that these collections are fake and the producers are revealing wrong numbers to lure more audiences. At the same time, fans started a war with other groups on twitter. If we look at their tweets, they are like, Mahesh fans say Khaidi No. 150 and Rangasthalam collections are fake while Charan fans asked that Mahesh’s Spyder boasted about 175 crores collection, why not Rangasthalam then.
All these things bring one comment to our mind. Do you remember what Mahesh said at Bharat Ane Nenu pre-release event? “Memu Memu bagane vuntaam.. meerey”. (We all will stay together, but the problem is with you (fans)”.
Trolling apart, its good to see Tollywood’s biggies spinning and churning huge money from the box office. These figures are a witness that the film industry will survive well until the next blockbuster happens.

Many must have given a thought on who suits the best to play veteran Savithri’s role in Mahanati, the biopic of legendary actress. Clearing all those doubts and dilemma of all those admirers, the director Nag Ashwin chose to bring Keerthy Suresh on board and she looked simply perfect as Mahanati.
The movie team has been releasing pictures now and then, but here is one comparing the looks of Keerthy Suresh to that of Savithri, in which the former excelled in the look. She is looking shockingly similar. Bringing an actress with similar looks won many hearts and the making and story is all that matters now, for Mahanati to end up as a blockbuster.
Poonam Kaur Meets Ex CM
Poonam Kaur has been acting in Telugu films for a long time, yet she could not manage to get a big break. We all know how her name popped up again with a controversy package from Kathi Mahesh when Pawan Kalyan fans attacked him.
Poonam Kaur later tweeted to Pawan Kalyan asking for a rescue, of course, nothing came in return from the other side. That’s a story for another day, but Poonam Kaur met former Cheif minister of Delhi, Sheila Dixit the other day. Nothing controversial in that, like many are wondering about, because it is just a formal visit to wish her on ‘Buddha Poornima’ and to present her the handloom clothes, as a brand ambassador for AP hand-looms.
Poonam Kaur expressed her happiness in meeting Sheila Dixit and wished everyone a happy Buddha Poornima. Looks like Poonam has pushed all the controversies into the past. A good thing indeed!
Angry YCP Leaders Walk Out from Jagan’s Padayatra
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Padayatra in Krishna district exposed the huge dissent within the party in Krishna district. While Jagan was continuing his yatra, Pedana YCP in-charge Uppala Ram Prasad, Municipal Chairman Ananda Prasad and their followers have silently walked out staging a protest. Apparently, they staged walk-out protesting the growing domination of newly joined Jogi Ramesh in the constituency. Unhappy with Jogi Ramesh’s domination, Ram Prasad and Ananda Prasad have earlier complained to Jagan Mohan Reddy and later walked out from the place of yatra. This has caused a huge embarrassment to Jagan and his party leaders.
The situation for YCP in Krishna district is not well as it is battling with internal conflicts. While it is between ex MLA Vangaveeti Radha and ex MLA Yalamanchili Ravi who are both contending for Vijayawada East seat for 2019 general elections, on the other hand Vijayawada Central constituency is witnessing the clash between Gautam Reddy and recently joined Malladi Vishnu.
Similar situation is prevailed in several other constituencies in YSRCP in many other districts as two or more members are expecting same seats to contest. This is going to turn headache for Jagan who is already facing a lot of issues.
CBI Closing Cases on Gali Brothers : Karnataka Polls Effect?
In a shocking revelation by NDTV after reviewing the fresh CBI documents on Gali brothers in connection to the illegal export of iron ore mined from Karnataka, the media report said the national investigating agency has began to close the cases on Gali brothers citing technical reasons.
Close on the heels of Karnataka Assembly elections (on April 12), Gali Janardhan Reddy is the chief campaigner for the party in the region, with 9 of his ardent followers including Sriramulu were given tickets to contest for Assembly elections on BJP tickets, the CBI beginning to close cases on the Gali brothers is gaining huge significance.
Going into details, one among powerful Reddy brothers Gali Somashekhara Reddy is contesting from Bellary on BJP for 2018 polls. Two of the three brothers are BJP candidates from Bellary are in election fray. Gali Janardhan Reddy, who is out on bail after spending three years in jail and did lavish wedding of his daughter, is campaigning for BJP. BJP has ensured that Gali Janardhan Reddy is not present in Amit Shah & MODI meetings. It is buzzed that BJP needed Reddy brothers to win election in the area and speculations are rife that BJP is “compromising” on their CBI cases.
Adding more fuel to those speculations, the CBI is now closing cases against Gali brothers in state after state citing technical reasons. Reddy brothers are accused in the illegal export of iron ore worth Rs 12,000 crore from 9 ports spread across 4 states. In 2013, CBI has been handed over the cases by the Karntaka state government. Four years later, just before Karnataka elections, closing the CBI cases on Gali brothers is raising many eyeballs.
BJP’s Scam-Tainted Candidates in Karnataka Polls
Meanwhile, it is not just Gali brothers. The long list of BJP candidates in Karnataka elections fray have candidates who were acquitted in Corruption, forgery, cheating and rape cases. Two of them had spent quite time in jail on charges of cheating, forgery. Katta Subramanya Naidu and Krishnaiah Setty who were jailed in land scams but acquitted later are contesting from Shivajinagar constituency and Malur respectively.

Meanwhile, Prabhas is looking forward to wrapping the latest schedule of “Saaho” and kick-start his film with Radhakrishna. Even this new romantic drama will also be a Hindi and Telugu bilingual project.
The Baahubali star is making sure that his next three years will be full of a feast for fans as he delivers three back to back films in no time. After Saaho and Radhakrishna movie, he’s likely to team up with a big star director.
#DharmaPorataSabha: AP will decide the future PM of India – Chandrababu
Emotional Chandrababu Naidu has breathed fire on PM Narendra Modi for failing to fulfill his promises made to the people of Andhra Pradesh. Telecasting Modi’s old speech (Dated April 30, 2014, Tirupati poll campaign) in Tirupati where he had promised to support AP state government to build world-class capital city, Chandrababu Naidu in his Dharma Porata Sabha on April 30, 2018 lashed out at Modi & Co. for cheating AP and ignoring all genuine demands of the state.
In a scathing, blistering all-round attack on Modi, Naidu alleged that Modi ignored AP since he got full majority in 2014. Naidu has given an open call to the people of AP to elect TDP in all the 25 MP seats such that TDP would bring full pressure on the Centre and get all the due demands of AP met.
Chandrababu said Modi ignored AP since he got full majority in 2014 and he doesn’t need TDP’s support any longer. Chandrababu reiterated Modi and BJP’s growing proximity towards “corrupt”, “tainted” parties (referring to YSRCP) and asked people to give befitting reply to all those people who are conspiring against Andhra Pradesh.
In a long and stentorian speech, Chandrababu looked fierce, terrific. He has attacked BJP, Modi like never before. In emotional recall, Naidu said it was Lord Venkateswara who saved him during Alipiri blast. Naidu also said his party leaders, activists will begin this Dharma Poratam in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh to expose the misdeeds of BJP, Modi and its supporting parties.
The thunderous crowd of Tirupati who attended the Dharma Porata Sabha of AP CM joined chorus for CM’s call for Special Category Status of Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu said he won’t compromise till AP gets Special Category Status. Naidu vowed to get the status to AP. He said AP will decide the future Prime Minister of India.
“Let us win all 25 MP seats. We will decide who will be the next PM. We know how to get things done. We won’t spore anyone. Had BJP got less majority in 2014, no way they could escape from us without doing justice,” said Chandrababu trying to push his agenda into public. Analysts say Chandrababu’s speech and his Dharma Porata Sabha as a big hit.
