Niharika & Naga Babu’s Candid Father’s Day Moment

Share

Sometimes, a simple selfie can speak volumes, far beyond the gloss of a posed photo shoot. Ahead of Father’s Day, Niharika Konidela shared a heart-melting cover for You & I magazine, capturing a candid and beautiful moment with her father, Naga Babu. Dressed in soft peach outfits, the father-daughter duo are seen sharing mangoes and smiles, effortlessly reflecting the warmth of their special bond.

Instead of an elaborate, stylized shoot, the photo focuses on their genuine connection — a father and daughter laughing, relaxing, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Niharika kept her caption minimal, allowing the image and emotions to convey the message.

While Naga Babu was last seen on-screen in Peddha Kapu 1, Niharika has been actively involved in her production ventures and creative content. Her fun reels with her father have already become viral sensations, and this magazine cover adds yet another charming layer to their endearing relationship. In an era where many moments feel overly curated, this one stands out for its authenticity. With this cover, Niharika didn’t just grace a magazine; she offered a heartfelt tribute to family, perfectly timed with the upcoming Father’s Day celebration.

Trivikram Chooses NTR for Next Mythological Film

Share

For a filmmaker who has consistently delivered both classics and blockbusters, Trivikram Srinivas always seeks the perfect combination of story, timing, and collaborator.

Initially, Trivikram was set to reunite with Allu Arjun after the massive success of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Around the same period, director Atlee was in advanced discussions with Salman Khan for a pan-India project. However, after that project was eventually shelved, creative conversations between Atlee and Allu Arjun gained momentum. With Pushpa 2 becoming a nationwide sensation, their collaboration was soon locked, pushing the Trivikram-Allu Arjun project onto the back burner.

In the meantime, Trivikram found himself drawn once again to his longtime friend and favorite collaborator, Jr. NTR. Their creative partnership has been built on a strong foundation ever since Aravinda Sametha showcased a new side of NTR’s acting prowess. Now, the duo are all set to team up for a massive mythological venture, reportedly based on the story of Lord Karthikeya.

Trivikram’s decision to move forward with NTR reflects his clarity, maturity, and unwavering commitment to telling grand stories with the right partner. According to insider sources, this sequence of events led Trivikram to ultimately reunite with Jr. NTR for what promises to be another cinematic spectacle.

Mahesh Babu & Pawan Kalyan Head Overseas for Film Shoots

Share

Superstar Mahesh Babu and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan continue to dominate the Telugu film industry as they work on two of the most anticipated projects of their careers. Both stars are currently preparing for crucial overseas schedules for their upcoming films.

Mahesh Babu, who is collaborating with ace director Rajamouli for SSMB29, has already completed a few important shooting schedules in India. The film initially began its shoot in Hyderabad, followed by another major schedule in Orissa. The team is now set to fly to Kenya for the next phase of filming. Though the Kenya schedule was initially planned for an earlier date, unforeseen delays pushed it to a later time.

In a surprising development, Pawan Kalyan too has planned an overseas schedule for his film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar. According to media reports, Pawan Kalyan is scheduled to leave for the shoot tomorrow. Interestingly, his departure has also led to the rescheduling of a meeting between the Telugu film industry representatives and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu, which has now been preponed. It is being said that the decision to shift the shoot overseas was taken only recently.

Both SSMB29 and Ustaad Bhagat Singh are being mounted on a grand scale and are slated for release next year, promising an exciting treat for fans of both superstars.

Kangana Reacts to Sunjay Kapoor’s Shocking Death

Share

Kangana Ranaut, who shared screen space with Superstar Prabhas in the Telugu film Ek Niranjan back in 2009, is now more active in the political sphere, though she remains connected to Bollywood. Recently, she expressed her shock over the sudden and tragic demise of Sunjay Kapoor, the ex-husband of Karisma Kapoor.

According to reports, Sunjay was playing polo when a bee accidentally flew into his mouth and stung him. The sting caused his windpipe to swell, cutting off his breathing. Despite signaling for help and trying to stop the game, he collapsed within minutes and suffered a fatal cardiac arrest. The bizarre nature of the incident has left many stunned, highlighting how fragile and unpredictable life can be.

Reacting to the news, Kangana called the incident “disturbing and surreal.” She reflected on the increasing unpredictability of life, noting how difficult it is to process such sudden losses. Unlike her usually bold and outspoken tone, Kangana’s message carried a quiet sense of reflection. She urged everyone to stay cautious and hold on to their faith, concluding her post with a heartfelt, “Keep praying to God.” Her words resonated with many, capturing the anxiety and grief that have marked a year filled with unsettling headlines and personal tragedies.

Manchu Lakshmi Safe After Air India Crash Scare

Manchu Lakshmi, who is currently juggling her work between Hyderabad and Mumbai for her Bollywood projects, recently addressed a tragic incident that caused considerable concern among her fans. On the same day an Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London crashed, Lakshmi too was flying to London. As news of the accident broke, worried fans flooded her with messages, anxious about her safety.

Lakshmi later posted a video reassuring everyone that she and her daughter were safe. She clarified that they had taken a different Air India flight from Mumbai to London and only came to know about the crash after landing. Expressing her shock and sorrow, Lakshmi said, “We don’t realize how suddenly life can change.”

She reflected on the fragility of life, adding, “One moment, everything is fine, and the next, it’s not. My heart goes out to all the families who lost their loved ones. This could have happened to anyone.” Her message, free from dramatization, carried a genuine mix of relief and heartfelt sympathy for the victims.

The tragic crash claimed 274 lives, including passengers, crew members, and people on the ground. Lakshmi’s candid statement resonated with many, offering both comfort and a somber reminder of life’s unpredictability.

Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha Unveils Soulful Melody

Share

Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha, starring Naresh Agastya and Rubiya Khatoon, has already captured attention with its teaser and promotional material. The makers promise a breezy, heartwarming romantic tale where music plays a central role.

Adding to the growing excitement, the team has now released a soothing melody titled Sound of Love. Composed by Justin Prabhakaran, the song works like magic, flowing almost in sync with the heartbeat. Rehman’s lyrics beautifully fit the mood, while the soulful rendition by SPB Charan and Shashaa Tirupati elevates the emotion even further.

The on-screen chemistry between Naresh and Rubiya Khatoon is striking. Their effortless performances and natural charm make their characters feel real and relatable, enhancing the emotional pull of the song and increasing anticipation for the film’s release.

The film is written and directed by Vipin, with Uma Devi Kota bankrolling the project without any compromise on quality. Seasoned actors like Radhika Sarathkumar and Aamani are also playing key roles, adding more depth to this musical romantic drama. The makers have assured that the official release date will be announced soon.

Tollywood Star Kids Continue Family Legacy

Share

The wave of star-kid debuts continues to rise in Tollywood, as yet another generation from the industry’s iconic families steps into the spotlight. Recently, the Nandamuri family introduced their fourth-generation heir — Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao — who is teaming up with director YVS Choudhary, adding to the ever-expanding list of Tollywood’s “nepo kids.” Simultaneously, the Ghatamaneni clan welcomed Jayakrishna, son of the late Ramesh Babu and nephew of superstar Mahesh Babu. Launching on the birth anniversary of legendary actor Krishna, Jayakrishna will make his debut in a romantic entertainer directed by Ajay Bhupathi. Meanwhile, fans eagerly await the launch of Nandamuri Mokshagna, son of Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is reportedly preparing for a high-budget debut. These developments only reaffirm that family legacies continue to shape the Telugu film industry.

“I don’t see anything wrong with the new generation carrying forward the legacy of their fathers and grandfathers,” says veteran writer-director Kona Venkat. “Icons like NTR, ANR, and Chiranjeevi worked relentlessly for decades to secure their place in cinema history. Many started with nothing—no support, no food, not even a roof over their heads. Their legacy was built purely on hard work and struggle,” he adds.

Following Chiranjeevi’s meteoric rise to superstardom, his son Ram Charan and nephew Allu Arjun have successfully carved out their own paths. Other family members like Sai Dharam Tej and Varun Tej have experienced both highs and lows but continue to remain active in the industry. The Akkineni family, too, remains a dominant force with Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil Akkineni, Sumanth, and Sushanth carrying forward the legacy. Likewise, the Daggubati family has produced stars like Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati, though Rana’s brother Abhiram struggled to find success with his debut, Ahimsa.

“Telugu fans are among the most passionate,” Kona Venkat observes. “They tear their shirts in celebration, queue outside theatres, and create a frenzy rarely seen in Bollywood. Once a fan base and multiple fan associations are established for a star, that loyalty often extends to the next generation. While some manage to uphold the legacy, others may not — but ultimately, it’s the audience that decides. Legacy offers a platform, not guaranteed success, though I refrain from naming anyone,” he remarks.

Interestingly, the daughters from these film families are also making their mark behind the scenes. Sushmita Konidela (daughter of Chiranjeevi) and Tejaswini Nandamuri (daughter of Balakrishna) actively co-produce their fathers’ film projects. Niharika Konidela, daughter of Naga Babu, has also successfully ventured into production with Committee Kurrollu. “I wish more young women from these families would take up production. They understand the complexities of star-driven projects, and their involvement can significantly benefit the industry,” says Venkat.

However, as the dominance of film families grows, concerns naturally arise about whether newcomers without any lineage are being sidelined. Kona Venkat disagrees: “Actors like Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Vijay Deverakonda, Naveen Polishetty, and Nikhil Siddhartha are proof that there’s space for everyone in the industry.”

The legacy baton seems ready to extend even further. Sithara Ghattamaneni, daughter of Mahesh Babu, is already endorsing major brands, while his son Gautam made a cameo appearance in 1: Nenokkadine. Venkatesh’s son Arjun is also rumored to be preparing for his debut. “It’s too early to talk about them,” Kona Venkat says, suggesting that the next generation of stars is only just getting started.

Rahul Ramakrishna Turns Director with Debut Project

Share

Rahul Ramakrishna, one of the talented comedians in the Telugu film industry, is now stepping into a new role. After starting his career with the short film Sainma and rising to fame with Arjun Reddy, Rahul went on to feature in several popular films such as Jathi Ratnalu, Geetha Govindam, and Bharat Ane Nenu. Now, he is all set to test his luck as a director.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) today, Rahul officially announced his directorial debut. “My first directorial venture — adventure! If interested, please mail your acting portfolios/resumes/showreels to the email ID mentioned in the picture,” he posted, inviting aspiring actors to participate in the casting process.

While the casting call is currently underway, Rahul has not yet revealed any details regarding the film’s genre, storyline, or production house. The announcement has certainly generated curiosity among fans and industry circles alike.

With this move, Rahul joins the growing list of comedians from this generation who are turning directors. While Yeldandi Venu found success with Balagam, Dhanraj’s Ramam Raghavam didn’t fare as well. Now, all eyes are on Rahul to see if he can deliver a hit with his directorial debut. Further details about the film’s cast and crew are expected to be announced soon.

Tollywood Bigwigs to Meet CM Chandrababu Tomorrow

Share

The much-anticipated meeting between the Telugu film industry and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been rescheduled to tomorrow (June 15). Originally planned for June 22nd, the meeting was preponed due to the overseas travel plans of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who will be heading abroad for the shoot of his upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The meeting is now set to take place at 4 PM in Amaravati.

Several leading actors, directors, producers, and members of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) are expected to attend. The agenda includes discussions on the development of the film industry and the various challenges it continues to face.

One of the key issues on the table will be the financial difficulties plaguing theatres and exhibitors. Many theatre owners have been advocating for a shift to a percentage-based revenue-sharing model for film releases, moving away from the existing rental-based system which has added to their financial burden.

This meeting also gains significance in light of Pawan Kalyan’s recent criticism of the industry bigwigs. A few weeks ago, he publicly expressed his disappointment over the lack of dialogue between the industry and the state government since the new government took office last year, despite its open support for the industry. He also highlighted concerns about monopolistic practices by a select few individuals within the industry, particularly regarding theatre operations. These issues are expected to be discussed in depth during tomorrow’s meeting.

Nagarjuna Praises Sekhar Kammula’s Bold Take in Kuberaa

Share

Director Sekhar Kammula has taken a bold turn from his usual style, venturing into the action thriller genre with Kuberaa, featuring powerhouse performances by Dhanush and Nagarjuna. With the film gearing up for its grand release on the 20th of this month, the team is actively engaged in a vigorous promotional campaign.

Speaking about Kuberaa, Nagarjuna shared his excitement and insights into the film’s powerful narrative. “The movie tackles hard-hitting truths that are more relevant than ever. Today, people are more informed, more educated, and more aware of issues surrounding politics and the police system. Yet, the sheer magnitude of certain events remains difficult to grasp. We often hear about scams worth 10K or 15K crore, but those figures feel almost unreal. I was truly shocked when Sekhar first shared the details behind some of these incidents.”

Kuberaa presents a deeply layered societal model, skillfully constructed by Sekhar Kammula. The film dives into the intricate dynamics between the rich, middle class, and the poor, thoughtfully examining the conflicts, struggles, and intersections among these classes. Nagarjuna praised Sekhar’s craftsmanship, calling the film “beautifully crafted and thought-provoking.”

Recalling an interesting moment on set, Nagarjuna highlighted Sekhar’s commitment to realism. “In one scene, Sekhar asked me to adjust my posture, saying, ‘You’re walking like a hero, tone it down a bit.’ I told him, ‘But that’s just how I walk!’ He then suggested I hunch my shoulders slightly. These subtle touches make the characters feel more authentic.”

Nagarjuna also shared the one request he made to Sekhar before filming began: “You have to live up to my expectations.”
