With costumes on-point, foot-tapping tunes, and impressive acting chops, the mass songs have a special place in Tollywood. Whatever the party, it won’t end with at least one peppy song, and especially one from Allu Arjun’s films.

Ever since the teaser of Bunny’s latest film Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India has released, the actor is in a lot of spotlights for his stylish look and with his terrific performance, he caught everyone’s attention. Recently, Hyderabad Times has released a report, that Allu Arjun tops the list with his stylish antics and stupendous dance moves.

Even though last year, songs like Ammadu Let’s Do Kummudu from Khaidi No. 150, Bombhat from LIE and others have released, only Allu Arjun’s Seeti Maar, Box Baddalaipoddi, and Blockbusterey from his previous film Sarrainodu leads the list of chartbusters. The audience has become selective based the terrific moves of the heroes in these pep numbers and playing them in their parties. It seems only Bunny matches their energy and strikes the right chord of the youth with his songs.

Recently, he created a sensation by getting the highest number of views for the Hindi dubbed version of Duvvada Jagannadham and in short span, he is again on news for this new record. Looks like, the audience are owning Bunny than any other Telugu hero and, thanks to his mind-blowing energy levels.

It looks like there’s no stopping Amala Paul. The Kerala beauty has been on a signing spree and is currently busy with as many as 5 projects. One amongst these is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual chick flick which also stars four young beauties, Nandita Sweta, Aditi Arya, Shraddha Srinath and Anisha Ambrose.

In the film, Amala Paul is said to be essaying a negative role. Apparently, her character dates back to the 1950s time period. This yet to be titled film marks the directorial debut of young cinematographer Nizar Shafi, who had shot Maruthi’s Bhale Bhale Magadivoi and Mahanubhavudu in the past.

This film is said to be an investigative thriller. A noted Tamil production house is bankrolling the movie. The film will release in the second half of 2018.

Nikhil is one of the very few young heroes who have won the trust of audience, thanks to his impressive script selection. After delivering a series of duds with routine films, he resurrected his career with content-driven films such as Swamy Ra Ra, Karthikeya, Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada and Surya vs Surya. However, it seems that he has now gone back on wrong track.

With success, follows offers. The same happened in the case of Nikhil after he delivered back to back decent earners. Producers started knocking his door with fat cheques. But, it is not as easy to find a good script as a producer. So, Nikhil chose the route of ‘remakes’.

The first remake he did was ‘Shankarabharanam’. Despite being the remake of a Bollywood hit film, ‘Phas Gayere Obama’, the Telugu film became a disaster at box office. His latest film, Kirrak Party, is the remake of a blockbuster Kannada film. But, this one also failed to live up to audience expectations. Nikhil is currently shooting for the remake of Tamil film, ‘Kanithan’, which received mixed talk when it released.

Nikhil had to strive for a long time to win the trust of audience and establish himself as a bankable hero. This idea of ‘remakes’ doesn’t seem to work for him. When he has so good judgement of selecting potential subjects, why do remakes and risk losing audience faith? Its high time Nikhil introspected his choice of films.

Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya reprised their real-life roles on reel for a short screentime in Premam. Venky set the screens on fire as DCP Ramachandra in his cameo. Daggubati and Akkineni fans were thrilled seeing the doting Mama and Alludu sharing screen space even though it was only for a single scene.

But very soon, both Venky and Chay will be playing full-length Mama-Alludu roles once again in a multistarrer to be directed by Sardaar and Jai Lava Kusa’s director Bobby. This crazy project will commence in August and more details about the movie will be out in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Venky and Chay will wrap up their immediate projects, Aata Naade Veta Naade and Savyasachi and Sailaja Reddy Alludu respectively. Needless to say that fans will have a gala time in the theaters, seeing the Daggubati Mama-Alludu’s chemistry on the big screen.

In the beginning of her career in Tollywood, Raashi Khanna was strongly rumored to be in a relationship with her first co-star, Naga Shaurya. The rumor slowly faded out. Later, she wasn’t linked to any of the Telugu heroes. But, in the past couple of days, speculations spread thick and fast that the bubbly beauty was in a relationship with ace Indian bowler, Jasprit Bumrah.

When Raashi was asked about the same in a chat show, she had a straightforward answer. ‘I don’t know who he is,’ She said.

‘I know that Bumrah is an Indian cricketer, that’s it. There is nothing beyond that. I don’t know him personally, and I have even never met him yet. These rumors have been created by some Bollywood websites. There is absolutely no truth in them,’ Raashi reportedly clarified.

The love stories of cricketers and actresses always attract the attention of fans. Those who assumed Raashi may become the first Tollywood heroine to get into a relationship with a cricketer, may get disappointed with her clarification.

Rajamouli posted a photograph of him sitting with Ram Charan and NTR together in November last year.

Though he didn’t make any further announcement everyone understood that he is making his next with Ram Charan and NTR playing the lead roles.

The film has now officially been announced. The film will now be refferred as “RRR” taking “R” letter from the trio – Rajamouli, NTR, and Ram Charan.

Sometimes comparisons with other heroines can lead young actresses into trouble. Because the ones who are just starting their career might end losing offers for that comparison with a star heroine. Whether it is look or luck, everyone should have their own thing. Here goes what is going on about upcoming heroine Megha Akash.

Nithiin is currently gearing up for the release of his next Chal Mohana Ranga, which is directed by Krishna Chaitanya of Rowdy Fellow fame. The film has Megha Akash as the female lead and this is her second pairing with the hero after LIE movie. With LIE turned to be one of the biggest disasters of 2017, many are wondering why the flop pair is repeated yet again. For that aspect, Nitin’s team has an interesting comment to make.

Reports are being heard that the movie team is comparing Megha with hip siren Ileana, who left star status in Tollywood for obvious reasons. If you observe, Ravi Teja and Ileana teamed up for the first time for Katharnak, which turned out to be a dud. Later they joined forces for the second time for Kick, which took the box office by a storm. Now, Nithiin and Co are believing in the same formula.

That’s good to hear, but the brownie is, Ileana has become the most wanted heroine in the industry with her debut Devdas and ruled the industry when her second flick Pokiri became industry hit. So no matter how many flops come, star heroines will have that charm. But Megha is yet to score a hit and a second coming very soon will not be creating much buzz.

More than anything, its the content of the film that will help both Nitin and Mega score a hit, while other comparisons will be mere speculations.

It has become a norm for the makers of all the star heroes’ movies to apply for special permission to organize extra shows during the festival season and long holidays. Joining suit is Ram Charan’s keenly awaited period action entertainer, Rangasthalam.

Rangasthalam’s producers have written a letter to the Andhra Pradesh State Special Secretary, seeking permission to organize extra shows across the 13 AP districts between 5 am to 10 am, starting from March 30th to April 5th. In the letter, the producers said that the extra shows will prevent black ticketing and volatile law and order situations due to huge crowd turnouts during the film’s screenings. The latest update is that the AP government has obliged their request and has sanctioned the required permission.

Nearly 100 crores are riding on Rangasthalam, and these extra shows will have a huge impact on the film’s box-office collections. If the Sukumar directorial manages to get a hit talk from early shows, sky will be the limit for the collections thanks to these additional shows and the first week’s revenues will be quite huge. On the other hand, the status of extra shows in Telangana is yet to be known.

There is no denying that Prabhas is a Darling – of fans, friends, co-stars and filmmakers. But, it is heard that his newly attained pan-India hero status is troubling his directors.

With Prabhas becoming a pan-India star after Baahubali, it has become a compulsion for the makers of his new films to make the films catering to nationwide audience. The directors who had earlier written stories for the ‘Telugu hero’ Prabhas are now facing the pressure of converting them to suit the image of ‘pan India star’ Prabhas.

This is the precise reason why Sujeeth of ‘Run Raja Run’ fame had reportedly kept developing the script of ‘Saaho’ over a period of three years. He had to rewrite the entire script, each time enlarging the canvas. But, despite so much pre-production work, he is still fumbling while making the film, say reports. Handling a Rs 200 Cr project and making it as a pan India film is understandably a huge challenge for a director who has made only one film, with Rs 5 Cr budget.

Prabhas’ next film, an untitled project in the direction of ‘Jil’ fame Radha Krishna is no different. This one film-old director has also been reportedly asked to develop the already locked script to suit the sensibilities of Hindi audience too.

Probably, it is wise on Prabhas’ part not to target national market with all of his films. In this process, he may neither satisfy Telugu audience nor impress nationwide audience as some scripts can’t transgress nativity borders.
