It’s rare we see heroines filing complaints with Movie Artists Associations but other day heroine Priyamani has stunned as she lodged a complaint against a producer.

Way back in 2013, Priyamani has signed a film titled “Angulika” and later walked out of if due to unknown reasons. Despite her walking out from the project, various posters of the film have done rounds with her pictures over them. Priyamani stated that she walked out of the film and another heroine completed it as a leading lady. She accused that after completing the film now, after five years, the makers are wrongly using her images for publicity.

Also, the actress had issues with the title design of Angulika, which also had her image. Apart from hosting a dance show on a Telugu television, Priyamani has no big projects in hands at the moment. It seems like that actress is miffed that her newfound TV craze is being misused by the producers.

While Priyamani gave her version, the makers of Angulika are yet to respond to the complaint filed by her with MAA. The issue will be sorted out in Film Chamber it seems.

Wearing an old messy turban with closed one eye, Megastar Amitabh Bachchan flabbergasted his fans with this new look from his upcoming flick Thugs of Hindustan.

Recently, we heard the news that Amitabh has fallen ill during the shooting of this project at Mehrangarh Fort and it spread like wildfire on social media. Now, he has grabbed the attention of the audience with this new look and it is clearly seen that Bollywood Megastar underwent a huge transformation for this character. It’s heard that he will be seen playing a blind role in this project and we saw him wearing a pre-independence era modelled spectacles and Rajasthani style of clothes.

No doubt, Megastar never leaves a stone behind to amaze the audience with his looks and after the trailer of his upcoming film 102 Not Out, his intriguing looks from Thugs Of Hindostan is raising the bar.

Thugs of Hindustan features Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif in lead roles and it runs in the backdrop of 1790-1805. The film deals with the bandits and men that are declared criminal tribes by British.

Ace Telugu film director Rajamouli’s Magnum opus Baahubali took the Indian box office by heavy storm. While everyone is desperately trying to put a checkmate to Baahubali with various projects, now another senior hero joined hands with a proven director for an ambitious flick.

Ashutosh Gowariker who is known for his mega-budget projects like Oscar-nominated Lagaan and periodic drama Jodha Akbar joined hands with Sanjay Dutt for a new film titled as Panipat. It is completely based on the Third Battle of Panipat and it features Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon alongside Sanjay in the lead roles. The most prestigious project is likely to hit the floors from mid-2018 and the team is currently busy in finalising the cast and crew.

We all know that legendary producer Karan Johar is gearing up for Brahmastra, to break the records set by Baahubali with a star cast like Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Even before the release of this project, another historical drama joined the bandwagon. This movie will be jointly produced by Ashutosh’s wife Sunita and Rohit Shelatkar’s company, Vision World. It is going to hit the screens released on December 6, 2019.

Looks like Bollywood is thirsty to beat Baahubali records, which was directed by a Telugu filmmaker. Well, we have to wait and see whether the makers of these two projects will get succeeded in putting an end to Baahubali era or will fall short of expectations like a Padmavati.

Young heroines promoting their new movies always try to look fashionable. Thanks to the likes of Samantha who has brought that big fashion culture to Telugu industry as well, after whom almost all the heroines are appearing in designer outfits to flaunt their charms at press meets.

This heroine from a neighbourhood tinsel town is known for her extra hotness all the times. She pours glamour on the silver screen and also in social media posts too. However, for the promotional events of her latest movie, we hear that the producer is insisting her on flaunting more glamour. Though she’s up with costumes that reveal the sexiness of her waist and all, the producer is said to be saying it’s not pulling any attention and he wants a more glamorous treat from her.

Miffed over these stupid demands, other day heroine gave a black and blue to the producer at a 3-star hotel where she’s staying, a report says. She reportedly told him that she’s doing best at the moment by appearing in sexy outfits, but if the producer wants more, she cannot walk the streets of Hyderabad in a cloth-less avatar.

These odd reasons often make South Film Industries sound like a chauvinist and sex-on-the-mind kind of people. Even if the heroine comes in a bikini to promote a movie, there will not be much attention, because it’s the content inside the film that matters.

It seems like the winds of change have really begun to blow in Tollywood. Star heroes who stuck to mass roles have started taking up unconventional films. Recently, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja played sightless hero in ‘Raja The Great’ that gave him much needed hit. Mega power star Ram Charan is playing a hearing impaired countryman in Rangasthalam.

Nara Rohith is one hero who doesn’t shy away from experimenting with his roles. The talented hero is set to play a mute protagonist in his next film. It will be a challenging role for him as his voice and dialogue delivery are considered his strengths. The film will be directed by PB Manjunath and produced by  Narayana Rao Atluri on Sree Vyshnavee Creations. The film will be launched on auspicious day of Ugadi.

Surprisingly, while Kajal dropped only from Rank 1 to Rank 2, Anushka fell to Rank 9 from 2nd position. Similarly, Keerthi Suresh and Nivetha Thomas who are rocking at 6th and 7th positions earlier have dropped out of Top 10, falling to 17th and 18th ranks. Forget about Samantha, she slipped from 12th to 21st position.

The man behind the lens for some noted Mahesh Babu’s films like Nani, Athadu, Dookudu and Aagadu is none other than KV Guhan. Though his work on Sai Dharam’s Jawaan didn’t get much appreciation, now he’s all set to take a different turning.

Earlier Guhan tried his hand at director once, when he remade super hit Telugu movie “Happy Days” in Tamil. Titled “Inidhu Inidhu” the film did just average at the box office way back in 2010 and later the noted cinematographer didn’t try his hand at direction. But new, he has narrated a script to the “Athanokkade” star Nandamuri Kalyanam and we hear that he got a nod as well.

A source revealed that Guhan narrated an action-adventure film to Kalyan Ram that will be shot in some terrific locations. As he is both cinematographer and director, we hear that the Nandamuri hero got confidence immediately, which otherwise he would have doubted if the filming will be possible or not. That will mark debuting of Guhan into Telugu cinema as a director now.

Much details of the project are yet to be out but it looks Kalyan Ram is picking up some interesting films with Tamil directors these days. After ‘Na Nuvve’ being directed by 180 fame Jayendra, this will be his second film with a Tamil director in the recent times.

For the so called 17% slashing of Virtual Print Fee (VPN) rates, exhibitors, distributors and producers of AP, Telangana, Kerala and Karnataka have withdrawn their ‘bandh’ call, but it looks like Tamilnadu folks are not in a mood to agree to that. From March 16th, Tamilnadu theatres are going for a total shutdown until and unless Digital Service Providers announce a timeline to scrap VPF permanently and slash rates drastically for the now.

Not restricted to just this issue, Tamilnadu theatre owners are also demanding the TN state government to scrap the Local Body Entertainment Tax (LBET) as well. In case if Tamil folks go stronger with their bandh call, then definitely the release of Superstar Rajni’s Kaala will get affected big way and there is no way than to postpone the release as they can’t go ahead with the release in other languages without releasing Tamil version.

Coming to Tollywood, we have Bharat Anu Nenu set for April 20th release, Kaala hitting cinemas on April 26th and Naa Peru Surya will dazzle from May 4th. If Kaala postpones the release indefinitely, it will be fine, but if it gets delayed by a week, then the film has to take on Allu Arjun’s movie. What is the scenario be like if Kaala clashes with Surya?

For now there is no plan, however, most theatres have made agreements with the producers of NPS paving way for the film’s biggest release on May 4th. So we have to say that Bharat Anu Nenu will have fantastic two-week run, then some other films could come forward and cash on 20th, and NPS comes as usual on May 4th.

In this situation, definitely, Rajnikanth also wants a solo date to register humongous opening day numbers. So let us see what happens in case of extended bandh and if Kaala has to change the release plans.
