One of the most visited Cinema spots in Hyderabad is nothing but Prasad’s Multiplex theatre complex where there is IMAX screen as well. And this place is now in a legal tangle as Court ordered them to give an explanation.

Other day, Hyderabad High Court issued notices to the Prasad IMAX theatre management asking explanation regarding the narrow and inadequate exits in this theatre. In fact, there is only one main entry and exit in the complex, while there are narrow steps that lead to the basement. Basing on a public interest petition lodged by a Secunderabad resident, High Court sent legal notices to the chief secretary, home secretary, principal secretaries of municipal administration and revenue departments in this connection.

It is accused in the petition that construction of IMAX is not in sync with Cinemas Regulation Act 1955 and the commissioner who has the licensing authority hasn’t done anything by neglecting his duty. This whole issue might be a subtle warning to all the theatres which are building the complexed without following safety norms, say legal experts.

As the iconic Prasad theatre itself is struggling with such issues, imagine how some other popular multiplexes are there. In most of those buildings, there is definitely this narrow exit and entry issue. Let’s see what happens.

Apparently, the director wanted to make the film like with more aesthetic sense and without any so-called masala glamour show. But this actress is known for her excessive skin show all the time and she wanted to do the same for this film as well. Differences have popped up between the director and heroine in that aspect and finally, the producer also voted for heroine’s decision only.

One finds it very strange to see heroine wanting to expose a lot and director rejecting the idea. Sometimes, it happens!!

Film Business is the most lucrative and most dangerous as well. It’s more like gambling as distributors invest crores on a film and never know which clicks and which don’t. And during this process, a lot of films will be bringing heavy losses. But everyone waits in awe that the particular hero’s next film will save them.

If we look at Pawan Kalyan’s recent films, his Sardaar Gabbar Singh gave the biggest jolt to everyone in the business by ending up a disaster. The film created nearly 20 crores loss to all the parties collectively. Later Katamarayudu was supposed to be the saviour of those people who lost big on Sardaar. Unfortunately, Katamarayudu was sold for around 90 crores and it recovered only 61 crores with all the flop talk around it, leading to almost 30 crores loss.

Now comes Agnyaathavaasi, on which nearly distributors invested 125 crores and the film collected only 60 crores so far. If the losses stand up at 60-70 crores, then total losses so far on Pawan’s last three films will be close to 120+ crores. And with Pawan announcing that he will not be doing films as he has lost interest in them already, how come that 100 crores loss will be filled up?

That’s the reason trade sources are now saying that Pawan exit will make that 100 crores loss a permanent dent without any hope of a chance to recover. In all likelihood, generally producers should take care of these losses, but with a big star like Pawan being the torchbearer of those films, definitely, trade circles expect support from him. And now that he called it ‘quits’, it’s a shocker!!

NTR’s “Jai Lava Kusa” and Mahesh babu’s “SPYder”, the two biggies that competed at box office for Dasara 2017, have replicated the same result on small screen as they did on big screen.

JLK, which became NTR’s second highest grosser behind Janatha Garage, also registered the actor’s career 2nd highest TRP rating – 17.7. Janatha Garage is at top with 20.69 rating. Temper (14.5) and Nannaku Prematho (12.23) performed moderately when they premiered on TV.

Coming to Mahesh Babu, SPYder fetched lowest ever TRP rating for a Mahesh-starrer, just like how the film had become his career’s biggest disaster at box office. With a TRP rating of 6.7, SPYder fared worse than Brahmotsavam (7.52). Mahesh’s best remains Srimanthudu, which registered 21.84 TRP. Considering Srimanthudu’s performance, SPYder’s TRP rating is a massive shocker.

Ravi Teja’s “Raja The Great” also performed exceptionally well on its TV premiere. It recorded a TRP rating of 17.7, Ravi Teja’s career best.

Sharwanand’s “Mahanubhavudu” and Nagarjuna’s production venture, “Nirmal Convent” which also premiered on Television during Sankranthi weekend besides the aforementioned three films, registered TRP ratings of 8.3 and 8.1 respectively.

Akkineni Akhil’s career is not progressing as expected. Despite being a meticulous planner, Nagarjuna is somehow fumbling in the case of his younger son. There are several reasons for the delay in materialization of Akhil’s films, and Superstar Mahesh Babu might be one indirect reason.

After ‘Akhil’ bombed, Nag asked Vamsi Paidipally, who had just directed the critically acclaimed ‘Oopiri’, to relaunch his son with a youthful entertainer, which could have been Akhil’s second film. After working on the script for some time, Vamsi backed out of the project citing he needed more time. Nag and Vamsi then came to an amicable decision that the latter directs Akhil’s 3rd film.

In the meanwhile, Vamsi wanted to complete Mahesh Babu’s film. He spent lots of time in fine tuning the script but the project kept getting delayed due to the delay in Mahesh’s prior commitments. Rather than doing another film, Vamsi however decided to wait for Mahesh patiently.

Now, Akhil is waiting to kick-start his 3rd film but Vamsi is still unavailable as he is getting ready to take Mahesh’s film onto floors. As the already committed director not available, Nag had to run from pillar to post to rope in another star director, which is delaying #Akhil3. Koratala Siva is most likely to direct #Akhil3 but the Akkineni hero will have to wait until he completes ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ (again ‘Mahesh factor’ comes into play).

Meanwhile, Nag has asked Vamsi Paidipally to direct Akhil after wrapping up Mahesh’s film, and the director obliged. Akhil-Paidipally film could be #Akhil4.
