There are many discussions going on in Telugu Film Industry couple of weeks ago that they will be banning the release of dubbed movies when big Telugu films are hitting cinemas. But at the time when Agnyaathavaasi, Jai Simha and Rangula Ratnam are hitting cinemas for Sankranthi, even Surya’s “Gang” found a big release.

In this scenario, with all other straight Telugu films getting a mixed talk, Surya’s Gang survived the box office attack easily. And it is slowly picking up at the box office because audiences are left with no option to get entertained as all other Telugu films out there are not so impressive. And now, some are coming up with an interesting comment about this.

“In case if Telugu films fail to work, then there is no way we could waste box office potential. Tamil dubbed films will help the theatres run, distributors feel happy and audiences entertained. So it is good to have a dubbed film in the race along with straight Telugu films” a person in trade commented. In that case, along with Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Anu Nenu and Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India movie, Rajnikanth’s “2 Point O” will release for sure.

Already 2 Point O is struggling between dates like April 14th and 27th. It may fix out any date, but that impact will be felt on Mahesh and Bunny’s films as both are targeting just a week before or after those dates. Also with some big distributors losing big with straight Telugu films, they are now said to be demanding 2 Point O release in summer saying that they can’t just believe straight films and bet bigger.

Apparently, things have gone to the point wherein the director of Dhadak, Shashank Khaitan has decided to give the shoot a one-month break so that the lead pair Jahnavi and Ishan can warm up to each other.

Well, probably he hopes Ishan to give Jahnavi a few tips on acting as he has made his debut with Majid Majidi’s Beyond the Clouds.Dhadak is the remake of a Marathi hit Sairat, which is the story of two teenagers fighting for love in a rigid caste system.

Mollywood diva Bhavana will tie the knot with her beau Naveen on January 22 (Monday) at the Jawaharlal Convention Center at Kovilakathum Padam, Thrissur.Only the couple’s close friends and family members will attend the wedding ceremony.

On the same day, a grand reception will be held at Lulu Convention Center in Thrissur in the evening for the celebrities and other VIPs from both movies and politics.Bhavana’s brother Rajesh had confirmed the wedding date brushing off rumors about the marriage being called off.

Both the families had, earlier, stated that they had pushed the wedding date further due to Naveens’ mother’s sudden demise.Rajesh said that the news about Naveen postponing the wedding was completely false. The couple got engaged in March, 2017, at Thrissur.

Naveen is a popular film producer in Kannada industry. Bhavana’s debut movie in Kannada, Romeo was bankrolled by Naveen.The couple have been dating each other since then. Bhavana had revealed about her relationship only after four years of courtship.

The span of an actress is too short when compared with heroes and so, they would want to make hay while the sun shines as the conditions may not remain good in the long time. When it comes to young actress Regina Cassandra who was on a roll with continuous offers is seeing a clear decline in her career graph.

Many heroines fade out in no time and they fail to assess what’s the reason behind it, Regina is too quick to figure out the reason behind the decline in offers.

Although Regina kicked off her career with some successive films, she couldn’t catch up to it in the coming days and she has an absolute reason for it. “As I have always dreamt of becoming an actress, I have opted this route but in 10 years of journey, I have committed mistakes by falling in Love,” confesses Regina in one of her recent interview. It is heard that both NTR and director Trivikram have become alert after the epic disaster of ‘Agnyaathavaasi’, and are indulging in a series of discussions about their combo film. And, Trivikram might have to back out from his promises in order to assure NTR and avoid ‘flop sentiment’.

Trivikram is one director who repeats his heroes, heroines and technicians. Of the countable number of films he has done so far, he has repeated Ileana twice and Samantha thrice. Impressed by beautiful Malayali beauty Anu Emmanuel’s work in ‘Agnyaathavaasi’, the ace writer-director had reportedly promised her earlier to cast her as main female lead in his next film starring NTR.

But, as Agnyaathavaasi bombed at box office, he may not fulfill his promise to Anu since NTR has reportedly asked Trivikram not to rope in any heroine from the Pawan-starrer. NTR, who allegedly has significant belief in combinations, expressed his concern that the just proven disaster combo (Trivi-Anu) may bring bad luck to their film as well.

Heeding to the star hero’s demand and understanding his concern, Trivikram has conveyed his apology to Anu Emmanuel and started hunting for another actress. He however has promised the Mallu beauty to consider her for his future projects and also recommend her to his filmmaker-friends in industry.

According to reports, Trivikram may also go back to Devi Sri Prasad as NTR asked him to do so, dropping ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ composer Anirudh from their film.

Admired by his fans as the ‘Kissing Star of Indian Cinema’, Emraan Hashmi is all set to take on the education system in the country in his upcoming film titled, “Cheat India”.

Announcing the project, the ‘Murder’ star reportedly said that it is his most ambitious project to date. He described “Cheat India” as an edge-of-the-seat drama and one of the most riveting scripts he has read in a long time, that will unfold the startling crimes in the Indian education system.

“I am sure that every student, youth and parent will hugely relate to the subject. I’m very excited to be essaying a character which I believe will be a landmark one in my filmography. For an actor, there’s always the greed to essay a character that tests his skills and this one, I know, will keep me on my toes,” he reportedly said.

Emraan Hashmi will play lead role and also co-produce the film.

Despite taking an average opening on the first day, Balayya’s “Jai Simha” is growing from strength to strength with each passing day. The collections of 3rd day were better than 2nd day’s, and of 4th day are much better than 3rd day’s, hinting how well the film has consolidated its position at box office.

On Monday, which is the Makar Sankranthi holiday and its 4th day in theatres, Jai Simha showed huge growth and collected a commendable distributor share of 3.36 Cr (much higher than day 2 and day 3 collections). The 4 days total share from the Telugu states accrues to 15.17 Cr with a gross of 26.5 Cr.

Naturally, there will be many comparisons if one is coming up using the title of an iconic film again. That is happening in the case of mega hero Varun Tej right now whose love story “Tholiprema” is all set to release soon.

Directed by newcomer Venky Atluri, the film’s teaser has created an impression it is another intriguing love story coming from the mega compound. Back in history, we have Pawan Kalyan’s Tholiprema that had amazed everyone in all possible ways. Direction, story, Pawan’s performance and heroine Keerthi Reddy are top notch. So, will the same get repeated now?

All those things will be unveiled only after the film hits on February 9th, but it looks like heroine Raashi Khanna will be dominating Keerthi Reddy for sure. Going by the latest pic of Raashi from the film, who appears in a spectacled look, it looks like her looks itself are so charming and mesmeric. If she could act like the original Tholiprema heroine, surely then Raashi will outshine Reddy.

Meanwhile, Varun Tej is banking a lot on this film because only if this film scores bigger or nearer to his Fidaa then his market will stand at that position. Otherwise, he will have to struggle like a Sai Dharam Tej.
