Yes, confirming all the speculations, finally, the makers of Sai Dharam Tej and VV Vinayak have zeroed in on Intelligent as the film’s title. An official announcement is going to be made very soon.
Story, screenplay by Akula Siva, the film will see Sai Dharam Tej romancing Lavanya Tripathi. Besides having a love angle, the film said to boast good story laced with intelligent screenplay and action elements. Although Vinayak is well-known for his trademark action scenes, for a change, he is now banking more on intellectual narrative to cater to youth and new-age audiences.
Well, it is too early to assume what all the film would offer. Thaman has composed the music.
New regulations likely to prevent extension of H-1B visas
Washington: The US is considering new regulations aimed at preventing the extension of H-1B visas, predominantly used by Indian IT professionals, as part of president Donald Trump’s “Buy American, Hire American” initiative, a media report has said.
The move could directly stop hundreds of thousands of foreign workers from keeping their H-1B visas while their green card applications are pending.
The proposal which is being shared between the Department of Homeland Security Department (DHS) heads is part of Trump’s “Buy American, Hire American” initiative promised during the 2016 campaign, US-based news agency McClatchy’s DC Bureau reported.
It aims to impose new restrictions to prevent abuse and misuse of H-1B visas, besides ending the provision of granting extension for those who already have a green card.

“The act currently allows the administration to extend the H-1B visas for thousands of immigrants, predominantly Indian immigrants, beyond the allowed two three-year terms if a green card is pending,” the report said.
“The idea is to create a sort of ‘self- deportation’ of hundreds of thousands of Indian tech workers in the United States to open up those jobs for Americans,” it said, quoting a source briefed by Homeland Security officials.
“The agency is considering a number of policy and regulatory changes to carry out the President’s Buy American, Hire American Executive Order, including a thorough review of employment-based visa programmes,” said Jonathan Withington, chief of media relations for United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
The H1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to employ foreign workers in speciality occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise.
It is typically issued for three to six years to employers to hire a foreign worker. But H-1B holders who have begun the green card process can often renew their work visas indefinitely.
The technology companies depend on it to hire tens of thousands of employees each year from countries like India and China.
The proposed changes would have a dramatic effect particularly on Indian visa holders considering more than half of all H-1B visas have been awarded to Indian nationals, the report said, quoting the Pew Research Center report.
“This would be a major catastrophic development as many people have been waiting in line for green cards for over a decade, have US citizen children, own a home,” said Leon Fresco, who served as a deputy assistant attorney general for the Justice Department in the Obama administration who now represent H-1B workers.
Fresco estimates more than 1 million H1-B visa holders in the country are waiting for green cards, many of whom are from India and have been waiting for more than a decade. (PTI)
Durga temple row: Naidu to sack BJP minister?
The controversy over the alleged conduct of tantric rituals in the sanctum sanctorum of Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada assuming political overtones, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has quickly entered the scene and ordered a comprehensive probe into the allegations.
According to sources, Naidu has summoned Endowments Minister M Manikyala Rao to meet him in Vijayawada after the former returns from his Kadapa tour on Wednesday.
Indications are that Naidu might ask Manikyala Rao to tender his resignation in the wake of serious charges levelled against the government with regard to Durga temple controversy.
Manikyala Rao is one of the two BJP ministers inducted in the Naidu cabinet, the other being health minister Kamineni Srinivas.
If Manikyal Rao is forced to resign, it will further strain the relations between the TDP and the BJP, but it is learnt Naidu is prepared for it.
In the morning, Naidu has ordered transfer of Executive Officer of Kanaka Durga temple A Surya Kumari based on the preliminary inquiry. In fact, she is considered to be one of the favourite officials of Naidu and belongs to his own community.
However, following the controversy, Naidu did not want to create an impression that he was protecting her because of caste equations. So, he shifted her and replaced her with Ramachandra Mohan, EO of Simhachalam temple.
The Chief Minister’s Office had called for a comprehensive report from the Endowments Department authorities over the alleged performance of tantric ritual in the famed temple.

Agnyaathavaasi Hindi Rights As Settlement?
Despite such a huge fiasco erupting in the news as ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ got labelled as a free-make of French film ‘Largo Winch’, it’s the silence of Haarika and Haasini creations, and director Trivikram, which is actually leaving film lovers in a surprise. Here comes another rumour doing rounds in film circles.
Actually the filmmakers are said to be quite confident that their film isn’t a copy of any, however some Bollywood biggies are said to be insisting on a legal action even if there are a couple of copied scenes. While the Hindi copyright owners requested to give a script copy, it’s being said that Agnyaathavaasi team denied to share it.
But what if Agnyaathavaasi has some scenes copied from Largo Winch? Will the copyright holders demand a fine? Yes, they are likely to ask for some amount and that might be the Hindi Rights of the film as a compensation, says a source. While such settlement will happen only after both parties come to a conclusion, it’s too early to speculate that Hindi Rights are being demanded or offered.
Meanwhile, film folks are eagerly waiting for the release of Agnyaathavaasi trailer that is due for a release tomorrow at 6 pm. If the film has any shades of Largo Winch, then tomorrows trailer will surely clear some air about it.

Actress Madhuri Dixit-Nene, who celebrated her New Year in Tokyo, got a chance to try the Samurai headgear during her visit to a museum.Madhuri shared a photograph of herself wearing the headgear on Twitter on Wednesday.
“Tried the Samurai headgear (weighs a ton) and sword. All the warriors all over the world must have been so strong to wear such heavy gear, ride their horses and fight with heavy swords. Respect! Salute! Samurai diaries,” Madhuri wrote alongside the image.
Madhuri was last seen on-screen in 2014 film “Gulaab Gang”.
Tantric Pooja Row: Cheap Allegations from YSRCP
Even as the police investigation in the alleged tantric pooja row in Vijayawada’s famous Durga Devi temple is happening at brisk pace and cops have booked all those who are involved and the temple EO Surya Kumari was suspended immediately, opposition YSRCP leaders opted to do ‘cheap politics’.
As soon as the reports emerged that tantric pooja was held inside sanctum sanctorum of Kanaka Durga temple on the midnight of December 26 (Navami day) by local EO and some others, cops have taken the issue as sumoto and held the people in connection with it.
Whereas YSRCP’s Ambati Rambabu alleged that those rituals were conducted in order to make Nara Lokesh as the Chief Minister. These cheap allegations have come as a shocker as there is no connection at all. Neither Lokesh nor any one of his close aides were present at the secret pooja. There was no clue of how Lokesh is involved. But Ambati and team doesn’t need any logic to level the allegations.
If Lokesh wants to be elevated to the chief minister, it could be made right away by his father Chandrababu Naidu since the total majority lies with the TDP. But that is not the case. Since TDP and its leadership follow strong ethics, morals be it in the change of leadership or tasking someone with new responsibility. And Lokesh has just started as IT & PR Minister and it is his first time as the minister. There is a long way for Lokesh to achieve what his father and CBN has achieved.
All said and done, this incident has yet again proved the YSRCP’s hunger to blame Lokesh in any issue even though he is no way connected to it.
Amidst all this, serious Chandrababu Naidu has summoned Endowments Minister Manikyala Rao to meet him as soon he is back from his Kadapa tour. Naidu is apparently upset and is expected to give a strict warning to minister to take care of his portfolio well.

“Under the veil he is living in, under the ‘save the temples’ disguise he’s wearing like a thick blanket, neither my friends nor my mother will believe that he’s such a sex pervert” said the lady, who has lodged sexual harassment complaint on popular singer Ghazal Srinivas, who was arrested other day.
While Ghazal Srinivas condemned the allegations saying that the girl came forward offering him a shoulder massage as he’s undergoing physiotherapy for that hand, the complainant has condemned it outright.
Speaking with a leading Telugu TV channel, she made some stunning comments on the Guinness Record-holding singer. “I didn’t expect that he will misbehave this way as I’ve always seen him as a fatherly figure. He tried to lure me by offering a job in Central Government saying that he will become governor of a state soon and traded that offer for sexual favours. Even his maid Parvathi (A2 in the case registered by police) forced me to maintain sexual relations with him”, the complainant said.
Why didn’t she complained to anyone including Srinivas’ wife and mother about this? “I’ve complained to his wife as well, but she too didn’t help me out. They don’t believe me first. I told her openly that maid Parvathy is taking that wife’s place, but she hasn’t responded” she replied.
Adding more, she explained why she recorded those videos. “As no one would believe my argument without any proof, I’ve recorded almost ten videos of him, where he’s seen in compromising position with that maid in one video, with others as well, and in another clip, he’s seen forcing me. I’ve risked my life to record these clips and submitted to police for action”.
She further said, “Srinivas will not be satisfied with just one girl. He has a wife at home and maid Parvathy at the office, but still, he lusts for every girl. From last months he’s forcing me for sex and fulfil his desires. If he wants physiotherapy, he should get from a doctor, not from me. He even blackmailed to not leave job threatening that he will lodge cases on me”.
On a concluding note, she asserted, “People like Ghazal Srinivas sing a lot of good things about women through songs, but they should show that through their behaviour. He named his daughter Samskruthi but he hasn’t had any samskruthi (culture)”.
