Pawan Tells AP MPs to Learn from Tamil Nadu

Share

Even as his fans are going gaga over the audio launch of Agnyaathavaasi scheduled to take place today and holding with bated breath, Pawan Kalyan is still in ‘political mood’. In a series of tweets, Pawan urges MPs of Andhra Pradesh to support the employees of DCI (Dredging Corporation of India) and asked them to give a representation to Prime Minister against the Union Government’s plans to Privatize DCI.

What’s more? Pawan cited a valid example where Tamil Nadu CM has met PM and sought PM not to privatize Salem Steel Plant despite that it is in “losses”. Pawan asked AP MPs to take cue from Tamil Nadu leaders and asked our MPs to give representation to Centre against DCI privatization.

This is not all. Pawan has rose his voice on the topic of Special Category Status indicating that AP has no faith in the BJP-led government. Demanding to stop DCI privatization, Pawan says ‘who knows how things might turn?’, and pointed out the injustice meted out to AP by adding, “with the background of Haphazard Bifurcation process & denial of constitutionally promised Spl. Category Status”

Pawan’s Tweets

– I request AP MPs should give a representation to Hon.PM Sri.Narendra Modi Ji not to privatise the Profit making DCI(Dredging corporation of India) by taking cue from Tamilnadu CM appealing the PM not to privatise it’s Salem steel plant though in losses.

– If Tamilnadu Leaders could stand by their people for a similar issue there and I wonder! What prevents the AP leaders to do the same.

– On the political Periphery Of AP, DCI privatisation might look trivial to NewDelhi but with the background of Haphazard Bifurcation process & denial of constitutionally promised Spl.category status – who knows how things might turn.

– The time has come to put an end to Personal & Party centric politics and we have to  bring back the accountability in Politics and if not..the younger & future generations will pay a hefty price irrespective of caste, creed, region & religion,” read Pawan’s tweets.

Why Chiru Apologized to KTR?

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who on Monday attended the Prapancha Telugu Mahasabhalu event that is being organized by Telangana govt., thanked CM K. Chandrasekhara Rao and also narrated the incident when he had apologized to IT Minister KTR.

“I sincerely thank CM KCR garu for making me a part of this beautiful event. The kind of work KCR is doing for the preservation of Telugu language is praiseworthy. Organizing this event itself is a proof of how much he respects and loves Telugu language. On behalf of the whole film industry, I thank him for the thoughtful gesture of felicitating Telugu film artistes during this event.

It was a historic decision to make Telugu language mandatory from 1st to 12th standard in the schools of Telangana. KCR’s efforts for restoration of Telugu is inspiring,” said Chiru, praising KCR to the sky.

During his speech, Chiru also narrated the incident when he apologized to KTR.

“When KTR invited me for this event, I immediately agreed to attend. During our conversation, I congratulated him on winning a prestigious award recently. To that, he said, Anna..(brother), how pertinent it is to wish me in ‘English’ when I came to invite you for ‘Telugu’ mahasabhalu. Although he just joked, I realized that we knowingly or unknowingly neglect our mother tongue. I apologized to him then and there.

How heartening it will be to talk in pure Telugu instead of English or any other convoluted language when two Telugu persons meet. I wish every Telugu person strive for the preservation of our language,” the Megastar concluded his speech.’

2019 AP CM: ‘BJP Would Decide’

Share

If one who is very ecstatic with the results of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, it is the Andhra Pradesh state BJP leaders. And in that ecstasy, the BJP leaders from the state are forgetting the fact.

BJP MLC Somu Veerraju, who is positioning himself for the post of party State unit head, has made shocking comments. He said that BJP would be deciding factor in the state in 2019 polls. He further stated that BJP would decide which party would come into power in AP in 2019 general elections. If this is not enough, Somu Veerraju said that their support to TDP (the present alliance partner of NDA) may be continued or many not be continued.

These remarks of Somu Veerraju have not gone well with the TDP leaders who openly expressing their angst against Somu and his comments. TDP leaders have warned Somu of violating the principles of an alliance and said they would complain to BJP high-command.

Off late, the relationship between TDP and BJP in AP is in trouble. Especially, after Centre asked AP government to halt the tender process of Polavaram Irrigation Project ignited a tiff between the two parties. None other than CM Chandrababu Naidu himself has openly stated his dissent in AP Assembly over Union Government.

Somu Veerraju’s comments have created a debate among TDP leaders internally and the TDP leaders are contemplating on how to deal with it given that their leader wants to maintain friendly relation with Saffron party.

Modi Reiterates ‘Development’ In Victory Speech Too!

Share

As soon as the word is out that BJP secured a great ‘Twin Win’ in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and wrote, “I bow to the people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh for their affection and trust in BJP. I assure them that we will leave no stone unturned in furthering the development journey of these states and serve the people tirelessly.”

After emerging victorious, Modi delivered a victory speech at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. In a fiery victory speech, Modi set ignition for the 2019 general polls. He reiterated his ‘development’ plank.

Highlights of Modi’s Victory Speech

– It was said BJP will lose due to GST during UP elections & Maharashtra Local Body Polls. But those results proved that the country is ready for reform.
– Country is looking towards things that perform in positive way and believes in transformation.
– Gujarat polls gave me double happiness.
– Coming to power for the 6th time is a special feat.
– After 2014, there is a hunger for development. Even if you do not like BJP, do not try to stop the progress being made towards development.
– Congress hatched so many conspiracies in Gujarat to stop BJP from winning.
– But people cannot bear if anyone makes fun of development.

Amit Shah’s First Response on Victory

In his first response on victory in both the states, BJP president Amit Shah said the BJP will form the governments in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, and rejected suggestions that there was a “close fight” with the Congress in his home state.

He asserted that the poll outcome in favour of the BJP is a “victory of performance and development against political dynasty.” Shah also attributed the party’s victory in Gujarat to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity and public welfare works carried out by the Centre and the state government.

He also congratulated and complimented the leaders and party workers in both states for their victory.

Not Close Contest

“We won comfortably, increased our vote share. It was not a close contest at all. This is a lesson to the parties which indulge in caste-politics and dynasty,” said Amit Shah. As per the poll outcome, he said the voting percentage was in favour of the BJP in Gujarat, as it increased to 49.10 percent from 47.85 percent in 2012.

Sushmita Konidela Reveals Three Unknown Things!!

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s elder daughter Sushmita Konidela is busy working on the outfits of her father for “Sye Raa” as she finished designing the needed costumes for “Rangasthalam” already. Sharing her thoughts, she actually revealed some interesting things about her family. Have a look at three such ones.

Talking about her father Chiranjeevi, she stated that he will not be happy sitting idle at home, though many think that the Megastar should take rest as he crossed 60 already. “Daddy feels sad to sit at home without work and he won’t be happy without going to shooting too. That’s why we will also feel happy if he is on the sets of a film rather being at home” she said.

When it comes to Sushmita, currently she’s working as a fashion designer for Rangasthalam and Sye Raa after wrapping her work on Khaidi No 150 earlier. So, how is her extended family feeling about it? “Actually my mother-in-law wants me become an actress. Even now she tells me that I should try to do something on the silver screen rather back of it. But they are happy that I’ve started working for dad and Charan’s films as a fashion designer”, she avers, quite proudly.

Revealing a titbit about childhood, Sushmita said, “During school days, I and Charan used to be below average students in studies, while Sreeja was a topper. We used to hide progress report from dad as he would scold us. Though I used to fight with Charan a lot after dad shifted to Hyderabad, he studied staying in Madras hostel for a while and that separation got me closer to him”.

Balayya’s Sensible Speech at Telugu Mahasabhalu

Share

Senior hero Nandamuri Balakrishna, who time and again talks about the importance of respecting our traditions, culture and language, has given an extraordinary speech while addressing the gathering at Telugu Mahasabhalu.

Balayya said that Telugu people should be proud of having 2nd most spoken language in India as their mother tongue. He called for people to respect our language and save it from extinction, like neighboring state people do. He talked about the affection he has for Telugu language.

‘Whenever I hear that three letter word (Telugu), it gives me an inexplicable high. Telugu people know how to love unconditionally as well as how to fight for our identity. We have shown the country our power during several movements.

Our language has been there even before we were born, since some 5000 years. However, younger generation doesn’t have any respect for our language. They use ‘Mummy’ and ‘Daddy’ instead of ‘Amma’ and ‘Nanna’, and shockingly, parents encourage their children to call them so. They think it is modern culture. If this continues, after 25 years, new generation may assume mummy and daddy as Telugu real words.

Telugu is the language we all learnt right from in our mother’s lap. We should be proud of Telugu, and must respect it,’ Balayya said.

We Won’t Beg For Seats In AP, Says BJP

Enthused by the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, the party leaders in Andhra Pradesh have already started looking down upon their ally Telugu Desam Party.“Our party has conquered the entire north and the focus is now on the South. In the next elections in 2019, the BJP will prove its strength in Andhra Pradesh as well.We are going to be a deciding factor in forming the next government in Andhra Pradesh,” BJP MLC and senior leader Somu Veerraju asserted.

Known for his aggressive attack on Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Veerraju said the BJP would continue its alliance with the TDP for now, but in 2019, it would be capable of going it alone in the elections.”In the event of forging alliance, we will not beg for the seats but would demand our due share from the alliance partner,” he said.

“We will strengthen our cadre base. But, in the 2019 elections, we will decide which party will rule in Andhra,” Veerraju said.In Telangana, too, the BJP leaders expressed similar confidence. BJP Telangana president Dr K Lakshman expressed the confidence that BJP would win the Telangana elections too in 2019.

“We have been strengthening in Telangana. We have strong cadre base at the grassroots level”, he said.

Great Advantage For MCA and Hello

Share

It has been a while since a Telugu film has set the cash registers ringing.Except for a couple of average Telugu dubbed films, none of the November or December releases really didn’t make any buzz at the box office.Tollywood business has hit a slump and the buyers and exhibitors are desperately waiting for a blockbuster.

All the movies that are currently running in the theaters are into deficits and most of the theaters are remained closed on working days due to lack of audience. This is a great time for the upcoming films MCA and Hello as both the films are surrounded by huge hype.Makers of both the movies are promoting in an aggressive fashion. Hello has Vikram Kumar’s brand beside the Akkineni power whereas MCA has Nani who is in red hot form and ever reliable Dil Raju behind the screen.

Clash between two notable films is always a worry, but with no other film to retain screens for Christmas weekend, both the film should get enough screens across Telugu states. With the holiday season coming up, these films should open with a bang irrespective of the word of mouth and reviews.

Prakash Raj mocks Modi over BJP’s underperformance

Share

As BJP suffered a short but decisive scare at the hands of the Congress during the Gujarat Assembly poll counting on Monday, noted film actor Prakash Raj has asked prime minister Narendra Modi to stop and introspect on the party’s victory.”Congratulations… yes… but… are you happy? Weren’t you supposed to sweep (polls) with your Vikaas? Will you pause for a moment to realize,” the National Award-winning actor tweeted Monday.

Contrary to exit poll predictions of an easy win for the BJP, the party was engaged in a brief neck-and-neck contest with the Congress. But it eventually regained its lead and was all set to rule the home turf of Modi for the sixth time and was on course to evict Congress from Himachal Pradesh.

Prakash Raj has asked the PM to introspect on why his saffron party was not able to sweep the promised 150 seats with his ‘Vikaas’ motto.Further attacking the PM and his party, the actor listed out the factors that did not work in favor of the government, including divisive politics.

When celebrations turned sombre at Congress office

Share

New Delhi: The Congress headquarters in Delhi wore a deserted look on Monday after initial celebrations as it became clear that the party was set to lose in both the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections to the BJP.As early trends showed the Congress ahead of the BJP in Gujarat, Congress leaders and workers kept gathering at the party office here shouting slogans in a festive atmosphere.

However as the morning progressed and early victory indications gave way to signs of defeat in Gujarat, the celebratory mood turned gloomy with the Congress leaders and workers slowly dispersing.By the time it became clear that the BJP was set to retain Gujarat and also come to power in Himachal Pradesh, the Congress office premises emptied out with more journalists than party workers present there.

No prominent Congress faces were in the office till noon and most of those who were around refused to speak to the media. However, Rajeev Satav, Congress MP from Maharashtra, said his party had put up a good fight in Gujarat as was evident as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had to emotionally attract voters instead of fighting on the basis of any development agenda.

“Modi had to camp in Gujarat till the last date of election campaign. That shows the Congress’ performance,” Satav told reporters.
